L'emplacement, la vue, le bon accueil.
Hotel vieillo, salle d'eau très humide, odeurs désagréable de moisi, pas très propre, établissement qui demande un gros coup de rénovation.

Location is excellent. Right at the entrance of the town, everything was easy to reach walking. The view from the room was stunning, could not have been better.
In the middle of the summer, facing 38 degrees, having no airconditioning was quite the challenge. The room was facing south east, means it heated up insanely. It was impossible to sleep. Luckily it was quite windy at night so opening the windows helped a bit.
Hotel was very simple, and you pay for the location not the room or facilities.

We chose one of the spa rooms to ensure we had a view of the rock, which was spectacular, especially at night. We were in the room furthest from the rock, but that had the bonus of a view of the citadel and the street below, where there was a street festival the night we stayed. The room was comfortable and the facilities generally worked well. The man who greeted us was cheery and had a real twinkle in his eye. He was fine for us to leave our bags at reception while we went to and from our car. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was fine, but best for the view of the rock. It would have been lovely to have eaten outdoors, but it was far too windy the night we stayed.
Parking was a nightmare when we arrived, probably due to the festival. The following morning there were a couple of places available out front, which might be more usual. The jacuzzi was quite annoying as half of it was taken up with a cascade that splashed our faces and couldn't be turned off no matter what we did. The lift is tiny and wasn't available when we left (maintenance, we think).

We had a room with view over the river and mountain, which was amazing.
The room was clean, but the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.
2.5 / 5.0
The room was very clean with a ceiling fan which worked well. The river view was beautiful. The hotel was easy to find and convenient for the town.
Check-in was in a busy bar and nobody smiled or made us feel welcome. The lift was tiny and the stairwell smelt of disinfectant and old food. The furniture in our 'superior' room was mostly made of particle board. The toilet door was just a couple of feet from the head of the bed. The staff were not very welcoming with the exception of our waitress at dinner who was very attentive and friendly and happy to help. The soundproofing between rooms was poor - we were kept awake by a very noisy neighbour.

Easy to locate in town.
Pleasant reception staff.
Nice room overlooking the river.
Opened both windows for through breeze.
Nice bar area.
Slept well, rather small bathroom but it's an old hotel so can be expected.
There was confusion over my room but eventually received a refund.
Whilst packing motorcycle, staff member came out advising I needed to pay etc, I advised I still had my helmet etc to collect from.room & I would then check out.
I advised I had already paid but they were adamant I had not.
I had lost my swipe card for room 17 & given a temporary card for room 11, this is where the confusion lay, I kept explaining but to no avail, paid again, after numerous calls & messages through Booking.com, I finally got my refund but some £20 short!
Obviously, someone else would have attempted to.pay for no11 too.
Not to worry, sorted in the end, but the woman who was asking me to pay was rather obnoxious towards me thinking I had not paid at all.

The view waas sensational! Straight out to the Sisteron rock across the river. The room was clean and comfortabl;e. The breakfast was good. The location is excellent for a visit to the town and the region. Public free parking is only a few minute walk from the hotel.

This hotel has an amazing position in the town. Reasonable breakfast
It was locked up when we arrived. Had to ring to be let in. Hardly any interaction with the staff throughout our stay. Restaurant closed for the foreseeable future

City with nice area to visit, old citadelle on top of rock.
Poor bathroom, toilet position impossible to sit on because huge sink furniture, no hairdryer or amenities besides regular shampoo. Heating system blocked at 19°C, kitchenette not functional. Dust everywhere, dirty shower, plastic tiles in sink area poorly glued to wall. Cheap breakfast, half baked bread and croissants like glue.

the rooms and view are outsanding
resteraunt was a bit basic, but with plenty of rustic options on the same street this wasn’t a problem

This hotel has amazing potential. The location is fantastic. It's clean an tidy. The town is really beautiful.
Unfortunately the staff are a little unfriendly. I'm sure they're lovely but having teenagers welcome customers is a little risky, they aren't great at customer service (even if they are family). Hire some professional staff and this place would be a goldmine.

we were warmly welcomed, the apartment is modernly furnished, great location, I sincerely recommend it

The lift was appreciated as we were on the third floor and are an elderly couple. The room itself was a good size and quite adequate for our needs.
There was a major problem in the shower as the drain was blocked so the entire floor flooded and the plug in the hand basin stuck down so water could not be released. Fortunately there was a small kitchen area where we could at least wash our face and clean our teeth. The problems arose as we were going to bed, but the next morning when we told the manager he offered us another room so we could shower. However, we needed to keep travelling so declined his offer.

Comfortable room in great location. There was a good breakfast for a small extra charge.
Parking was sparse at the hotel and we were charged twice for the stay. There has been great difficulty in having the overcharge refunded.

Fabulous location! On the cliffs looking down to the river. Charming, efficient staff. Simple but very comfortable room.
Had a lovely meal of sisteron lamb, of course, looking down to the river and up to the huge rock on the opposite bank.
Sisteron buzzes with atmosphere. .
Nothing.

location is great
old hotel and part of the staff not super welcoming
2.0 / 5.0
good location on the Main Street where the bars and shops are
no air conditioning in the room and because of the good location for bars that also meant noisy until around 12.30am. couldn’t close the windows as didn’t have air conditioning

The location of the hotel is great. It's located near the bridge near the amazing rock formation and the old part of town. We still do not understand the pafrking fees on the parking in front of the hotel - see photo.
The room was really small, you could barely walk around it. The furniture is outdated, no night stands, no wardrobe just the hanger on the wall. Room would need some fresh paint.

Location, great view from the window
1) Unfriendly staff. We arrived an hour before the start of check-in, we just wanted to check in, leave our luggage and go for a walk. The administrator, without letting us finish, expressed a huge problem due to the fact that we arrived an hour early
2) We ordered a baby bed. The maid decided to assemble it in half and leave it as it is - "an unassembled children's bed is the guests' problem, not mine" - probably the maid decided so
3) There was 1 small soap in the room for 3 people. There were shower gel dispensers, but they were all empty.
4) There is no drinking water, neither free nor paid, and the reception is open until 23:00
5) Breakfast is poor
6) Hairdryer is available upon request and there is no phone in the room to contact the receptionist. That is, if you need something, you will arrive to run down to the reception

Location ant the view was amazing!
Really strange concept with the jacuzzi inside the room (just next to the entrance to the suite). Totally not worth the money.. water runs slow, so it takes looong time to even reach the half of the bath. When lights are on, you can see the water/bath is not exactly clean..

location
The stairs to the bedroom are very steep, narrow, and shallow. For a couple in their 60’s it was not ideal

Very nice view from the window
Good location (close to center, Citadelle)
Small room
Fridge would be useful

location is the only thing good about this hotel.
at the time of the booking they replied to me that didn't have any crib for the baby. the room is very basic. I felt it was not clean enough and in some places of the room on the floor there were stains of dirt.
