Hotel was nice and in a good position

We had to cancel the last night because a hurricane was coming to baja and we had to head back south to avoid possible road blocks caused by the hurricane, nevertheless they didn't reimburse us anything so we lost the money. Also one of the dogs of the owner of the hotel peed on my sister leg while we where sitting at the restaurant table

location is great, room we stayed in with a refrigerator and table is a decent size but not updated, paid considerably more for it than other rooms that have been significantly updated. Dinners were nice, fair amounts of food, very few patrons so food service was generally good, they ran out of several food items on "Italian Night), Hotel staff was always friendly even when unable to help or answer questions

Full Room fee was collected early without notice and contrary to Hotel policy & Booking.com policies, despite telling reservation manager in a phone call several weeks in advance of arrival I was going to split the fee with 2 people and would call back with info well before the requisite time. Bathroom fan seemingly wired backwards, sewage smell pumped into room rather than inside air being pumped out. informed staff, but they did nothing, making fan unusable. Owner's dog running loose aggressively attacked a guest's dog while it was on a leash and minding its own business sitting with the hotel guests under a table in the outside dinning area, it was a very disturbing event, with some Patrons scattering in fear of being bit while others jumped in to separate the dogs - this hotel dog despite being friendly to people appears to to be an unneutered pit-mix and should not be on the grounds, off-leash (IMO). There was a fair amount of debris including dog excrement that was not picked up for several days, despite being in walkway areas or visible in plant beds. Several hammocks falling apart. Pool deck was not complete and no pool furniture, despite being told by phone before arrival the reconstruction was complete, despite open tripping hazards, many children using the pool . The indoor bar is no longer in service, so there is no inside seating, no TV, no pool table, dedicated bar area, as in years past. Drinks are now mostly served outside (and were expensive) considering the bar was outside in the 95+ degree heat and liquor was not chilled (no cold shots) - beer was just barley cold but should have been colder. Beers/cocktails are now nearly US Restaurant prices. Fisherman lunches were lacking and overpriced compared to past trips, The advertised early Fisherman's breakfast was not available, and were told onsite that there weren't enough fisherman, so we missed out on breakfast everyday we fished...

Could not sleep because of extreme noise during the hole night. We had to get up at 2 pm to speak to the reception but no change.
