Great location, easily walkable to Hora but just outside so nice and quiet and with a great view. Owners were very friendly and helpful, they gave us lots of excellent recommendations and picked us up and dropped us off at the port.

A faultless stay at Ampelos. From the welcome to the pool to the wonderful view, everything was perfect. I loved my characterful room - all the rooms have their own personality. I don’t think you could find a better situated hotel in the Chora, just a few minutes walk from the centre, but so very peaceful.

Highly recommended. Great location, view, facilities, rooms but most of all the people running Ampelos. Theo’s tips will make a difference to your stay in Folegandros. Areti’s breakfast is also a must try. It really felt like home!

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Not sure why the review preview is showing a sad face, but our stay was phenomenal! This place was exactly what we were looking for, something quiet, clean, comfortable and charming. Our first impressions started from the pick-up from the port by one of the owners and taking the time to give us recommendations on where to go/what to eat during check-in. Our room was immaculate and the layout of the hotel adds to its attractiveness. They also helped us with some other things we needed (renting a scooter, calling to know the ferry schedule for one of the beaches). We had a complication during one of our activities in the island, and the owners hospitality was out of this world, we were treated like family. We are still extremely appreciative of the hospitality during and after our stay. When we return to Folegandros we would definitely stay here. We would recommend this place to everyone! Wonderful stay at Ampelos, just above the Chora so very close to all restaurants and shops but with added bonus of a wonderful view and quiet feel. The owners are amazing, made you feel like their personal guest with lots of helpful hints and welcoming atmosphere. They could tell you which beach to visit based on wind direction etc, and had lots of interesting information about the island. Great shower pressure and temperature and room was perfectly cleaned.

An exemplary hospitality. Cozy and well maintained, quiet little hotel run by the family. Areti and Andreas - super cool couple, very easy communication, nothing was a trouble for them, lots of advices on “what to do, where to eat”. Our room was perfectly adequate. Large bed. The balcony had an amazing view and we felt in love with the sunsets of Folegandros.

our stay at Ampelos was very confortable. The staff is particularly welcoming and hlpful. they went out of their way to assist us with everything we needed the pool is awesome and the room was big
