It fantastic location in the centre and easy to walk around. There is parking nearby and the staff were so helpful.

parking facilities were tricky when we arrived due to being a sunday lots of visitors carpark space was tricky better on the monday . The room was neat and tidy and comfortable but maybe a little bit of attention to mould in shower and paint work in places were ready for a refresh. no bin in the bathroom definately needed.

Wonderful pub , with great food, great friendly staff. Fantastic local cation , within walking distance.

All rooms upstairs no lift if you have mobility problems. No breakfast.

Hotel has good location - breakfast wasnt available in price, but there are plenty of nice places to get your breakfast within seconds of the property. The rooms are clean and ideal for an overnight stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful if required.

Staff were excellent. They were helpful with some local knowledge and other places that good to eat at. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was very roomy and recently renovated. Tea, coffee, milk and a good jug provided.

The bathroom floor was very creaky, bedroom floor was a bit "bouncy". One of the plugs didn't work.

Sofa bed in King room was uncomfortable (you could feel metal bars), damp in bathroom, restaurant not open all the time / every day.

The room needed a little TLC and was very noisy as next to the main road. There was a lot of early morning traffic.

The inn had a certain charm to it and the staff were always polite and helpful. By far its best feature is the excellent food that is served in the subterranean restaurant.

Although the room ( no4 ) did have a wardrobe in which to hang things, it did lack hooks on which to hang our coats. Granted, we could have used the wardrobe for the purpose, but it would not have been as convenient.

The location of the hotel

The hotel room was dirty and unacceptable. The bed had blood/dirt stains on the mattress that were clearly visible through the bedsheet. The bedside table and wardrobes/shelves were layered in dust.my partner has a dust allergy and the room was caked in dust. The shower was practically non existent and was a little dribble . The toilet was dirty beyond belief with thick black grim under the seat showing it clearly had not been properly cleaned for a long time or at all . We were kept awake by a leak outside the window from the guttering or roof causing running water bashing against the window all night.

a little bit old fashioned in styling and the attention to detail not there - bathroom had paint splatters over the tiled floor , shower itself ok but cheaper style not high end.

The location of the hotel was brilliant, couldn't have asked for better. Just a 5 mins walk down to Bowness pier passing numerous shops / bars on the way

We found the bed super uncomfortable, and very very creaky. Been heavily pregnant, it wasn't ideal at all. There was also lots of stain on the bottom of the bed (base) like it was a very old bed ! Quilt & pillows were comfy and we liked the convenience of a stand fan as the room was very warm. Very busy road so if on road side, it is noisy with the windows open on an evening. The £15 per night pet suppliment was a high price to pay (especially for our super clean, small dog), we would have expected a cleaner room for the amount this cost us. Although the bathroom was very clean, there were many marks / stains on the walls, skirting and sofa bed, which would have been used be a child if we had one (family deluxe room) We spent 2 nights in the hotel bar as the weather wasn't great, first night was fine but the second (Sunday) they had ran out of quite a few beers which we were told wouldn't be restocked u till Tuesday. So unless you enjoy the standard Carling / San Miguel, that wasn't great. Also bar snacks are advertised to be sold until 9pm, we had decided to eat early with the view to ordering a couple snacks later on, but I asked to order at 8:30pm and was told the kitchen was closed (I only wanted a dessert really 🤣)

The property was located very close to the shops and a ten minute stroll to the lake. The ensuite bathroom was renovated and clean.

The furniture was old. The tiny closet was not big enough to hang much clothes, just our jackets. no lift. luckily was on first floor.
