External appearance not very appealing

The location is excellent, no better spot for a stay in Clifden. The rooms are large and the breakfast, despite no fry, is plentiful and satisfactory. Ample parking in Supervalue car park.

Clifden is a scenic ,rugged outback of the wild wild west.

On arrival we felt the corridor to the room musty . Just our luck the bedroom window looked out to a grey plastered wall. The next morning we arrived down to a meagre budget continental breakfast. I asked the waitress was there not a fry up? But my request was dismissed with a hasty wave. Our e mail said there was a full breakfast included. One automatically assumes this is a fry up, unless otherwise stated...This is very disappointing. I also had issue with ordering the drinks ,which I don't want to go into now. I contacted the Hotel with all these issues but so far I've received nothing only a cold wall of silence. Beware...

Comfortable hotel in an excellent location

Location, value for money, helpful staff.

Breakfast was very basic.

A true Irish welcome is given to you at this hotel. From the minute we checked in till we left we received absolutely wonderful service. Everyone was so helpful and the food and the room was lovely. The breakfast was a perfect continental spread which exceeded our expectations. I must mention James Joyce the barman who makes the best cosmopolitan cocktail in Ireland. He was such a lovely person and so helpful. A definite must stay if you are in Clifden.

Lovely big rooms and very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast and friendly helpful staff.

Decor a little the worse for wear but this had no impact on our stay
