The location is great. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

Friendly, clean hotel with wifi and on site parking. Reasonably priced mini-bar. Not far to walk (15mins) to the city centre. No onsite restaurant but an upmarket Italian next door and lots of restaurants in the city centre.

I liked it all....... but it must be noted "communal facilities" are limited. This is a well run "functional" hotel.

The hotel is in a beautiful area. Our room had a nice view. The breakfast was very good and everyone was very nice to us throughout our stay.

Extremely comfortable bed and pillows, large room, all aspects of my room and the hotel were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Although hotel is located about a kilometer from the edge of the city center, it is in a very green area with beautiful old buildings, and several cafes/bakeries and two restaurants within easy walking distance. There is excellent bus service within a five minute walk of the hotel that goes straight to the train station and to most of the major attractions in the city center. Breakfast was very good and serving hours, from 7 to 10, were very convenient. There is a restaurant next door to the hotel that is considered one of Wiesbaden's best Italian restaurants...unfortunately they were on vacation during my stay.

No air conditioning -- the day I arrived, temps in Wiesbaden had been in the mid-90s...luckily the hot spell broke that night and I was comfortable with the windows open and a fan. It would have been impossible to stay there during the height of the previous weeks' heat wave, I would think. The English-language material about the hotel on Booking.com does not mention air conditioning...mea culpa for not spotting that -- the hotel's website is only in German and I can't tell if there is any sort of warning about the lack of air conditioning. With the windows open, there is some traffic noise, especially in the morning.

I didn’t have a car and this property serves driving guests better. there is a good bus but the lovely neighborhood has only two close restaurants for dinner.

Tried to get breakfast several times but no table available. At 10.03 am the owner told me: Ha, ha, you just missed it. What a disgusting guy. Running a hotel who treats his guests and staff like s…. I Had a second reservation a week later but my flight arrived at 7.30pm, the hotel closes at 8.00pm.!!? How stupid is that? Like a Youth Hostel. Consequently I couldn’t check in to get my key. No choice but to cancel my reservation. The hotel replied: that is our rule!!! and blocked me for all future reservations. Ha, Ha! WHO wants to stay there where guests and staff are treated like scum?? I then stayed in a very nice hotel ORANIEN HOTEL with super friendly staff and management who still understand the the art of SERVICE. Beautiful, central location. 24h open!! My recommendation: don’t EVER STAY AT FONTANA!

NOTHING. VERY BAD OWNER. Like the saying goes: THE FISH ALWAYS SMELLS FROM THE HEAD. Staff and guests are unhappy. How bad can it get? When you use the shower the entire bathroom gets flooded. An idiot Must have designed it. Due to the constant moisture, the wooden bathroom door has disintegrated over time. No eye for details. No maintenance. No service. Not customer friendly. So, WHY STAYING AT FONTANA??

The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious and the hotel staff was always ready for me when I came downstairs for my morning coffee!! The staff were very friendly and spoke wonderful English and German.

Wish the facility had HVAC. If you are facing the West side of the building, you have full sun from noon till 9 PM. The room only had a tiny fan but we were able to open the hallway windows and doors to increase ventilation. Thank goodness for the cool days we had during our stay. HOT ROOM!!!
