Room was very spacious and clean

Breakfast was very basic, was included with room, yet we had an extra charge of 5 euro each on the final bill. Booking shouldn't advertise free breakfast if there is a surcharge.

The restaurant and the ambiance, good food.

The rooms were in the old part and were not handicap accessible. Needed help up the hill.

room was extra large, but the shower was out of order. there was a bath tub, but with the hot weather a shower would have been nice!

The pillows wasn't comfortable. The extra bed for our child was too hard.

Authentic old school type of German Gasthof with a nice outdoor seating/eating area. Arrived back at hotel 8:30 Sunday night expecting to eat dinner and the kitchen had just closed but the waitress was able to get us some schnitzel, which is exactly what we wanted.

Showed up after 10 PM Saturday night and the hotel and restaurant/bar was all completely closed. No late night bell or attendant available. Had to find a different hotel for the night. On the positive side they didn't charge us for that night. Hadn't noticed the 9:30 deadline for check in when I made the reservation.

Beautiful building with a restaurant and a terrace. The staff was very friendly and the food in the restaurant very tasty. We had our little dog with us and that was no problem. The room was spacious, clean and had a terrace with table and chairs. If you want to go on a short walk you can find the ruins of a castle 10 min up on a forest path and the view from there is fantastic.

The view, the German traditional quality, burg-ruin was close, we had an apartment-like room and we didn’t hear any sounds from neighboring rooms. We booked two traditional rooms and were lucky to get room in the main house and also a fully loaded apartment in front of the church. there was parking on-site. Breakfast was pleasant German style buffet. Housekeeping was only every other day, but they told me in advance to manage my expectation. Good for family trips.

Hidden gem, attentive staff, fabulous breakfast in a great atrium, clean environment. Outside setting is great.

The wedding party noise, we were not informed of the party prior arrival. The room was very hot without an aircon, and windows had to be shut because of the party and road noise. So in overall after our 6 hour drive we did not have a good sleep for our further 5 hours drive today. Quite disappointed we were not given the option to cancel knowing there is a w.party.

We have stayed at the Burgschanke several times previously. It is still a good place to stay, however the service and quality of food on this latest visit wasn't at the very high standard as on previous visits.

The gentleman working for the Breakfast is very polite and helpful.

The pictures diplayed are collected from different rooms so they are quite deceptive. We were being arranged to a very simple and old room across the main building, and the old lady has bad attitude. The whole progress and experience is very bad.
