Très bon accueil , Chambre au RDC. Chauffage efficace sur une nuit froide. Calme de la nuit.

Pour faire une petite remarque, nous avons pris le petit déjeuner et à 8h30, la gérante nous annonce qu’elle manque de jambon sur le buffet. Préférant le salé, petite déception matinale.

It was reasonably cheap.

The room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. It wasn't very clean. All towels smelled of food, even though they looked clean. The coffee dispenser in the hallway was empty. Altogether not a pleasant experience.

Room was small but adequate with enough storage space. Ensuite bathroom and toilet were clean. Good choice of (continental) breakfast, with good coffee. Female staff in the morning were pleasant and welcoming.

Location in a rather grotty and unkempt area of Forbach adjacent to the motorway (so some motoway noise) was not easy to find because my (updated) GPS didn't find the "house" number advertised. Male on duty at reception in the evening didn't have the right attitude for a front-of-house customer-facing role. Mumbled his (French) words though he knew he was speaking to a foreigner, told me the bare minimum (e.g. no hints about where to eat locally). The building needs sprucing up on the outside - the cladding needs to be cleaned: first impressions are important.
