Every detail about this place was so curated and lovely. The facilities were clean and modern, and the common area was absolutely stunning and filled with comfy chairs and a beautiful view of the city. I was expecting free breakfast to be basic continental breakfast, but a chef cooks crafts your meal live and it felt like a 5-star experience. The location was right in the middle of everything with so much to do. The rooms were dead silent and perfect for sleeping.

This was perhaps the best hostel I stayed at in Taiwan. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and English speaking which was comforting. I had my own small private room which was comfortable, quiet, and clean. The cooked breakfast was superb and the added snacks and drinks available during the day. The Japanese style seating area was warm and comfortable with a great view. Was also very central located and easy to get around!

clean, quiet, great view at 15th floor. breath taking. will come back again and again of room 203. my favorite. will try different rooms next time.

dryer too weak. laundry dry 3 times of set coins. 4 days clothes still not dry.

Star Hostel provided lovely breakfast, view and friendly staff. Moreover, easy to go shopping or get something to eat.

I randomly stumbled upon this location last minute and I do not regret doing so. Room was simple and clean and spacious for a single person, breakfast was great and the views from the lobby are amazing. It was trendy, minimal, and very aesthetic and clean; reminded me of a Muji store. Would stay again if I am back in Taichung. Bed was also comfortable, and it was quiet for the most part.

The temperature in the room on the first night was so cold, even though I had turned the thermostat to the highest level. However it was better the second night. Since there is cleaning going on in the lobby from 11am - 3pm , it is a little inconvenient to walk around, however it is not too much of a big deal. Also, wish the room had more natural lighting, as it was a little bare.

Location, location, location. The location is awesome, right above eslite bookstore, easily access from elevator which located in the first floor. The reception has sufficient lighting, common areas are well design and modern. The room has good size (double room), bathroom is clean and well equipped. The best part of the hotel is the common area, which has a lot of tables and chairs and some shoes off resting area.

nothing that i don't like, wish i had stay more. ; For more convenient for hotel guests. Maybe can have some ''breakfast to go'' option, like some easy grab and go. thank you.

- The breakfast was undercooked and made me ill for a few hours. I understand that the staff always work hard, but it doesn't mean that you can't keep your sausages in the pan a bit longer. - Unfortunately no washing machine and dryer available.
