The staff, (especially the older variety) were extremely helpful. The food was excellent and the beds very comfortable. The views were worth every penny. The croissants were worth the 3 hr drive.

The chairs in the room were not comfortable, the younger member of staff in the dining area was somewhat rude to my wife, and the queues for drinks in the bar were unacceptable.

Comfortable room with a limited view

As the hotel was having refurbishments including all the windows in the restaurant and bar it was very cold, so ended up taking a drink to our room to stay warm. People choosing to sit by the window to enjoy the view wearing scaffs and even a coat! Breakfast room was drafty as windows we're unfinished and plaster missing on the walls so food went cold quickly. Thought when booking a room with a view this would be a full view of the bay but was actually a glimpse from the window.

I had a rear facing room which was adequate. The breakfast was very good but the coffee could have been hotter

Loved all. All Staff were amazing, cant speak highly enough. The cleanliness was perfect. The food..Oh My was delicious from breakfast to lunch & dinner...again cant speak highly enough. Location, WoW!!

The whole main bar on seafront was being refurbished. Didn't put us off as other rooms were available....& tbh when else could they have done this. Only issue...strong smell of paint morn till night. This was not mentioned at time of booking. If it was, I may have booked else where as we had headaches all the time when inside the Hotel. Everything else WAS really amazing 👏

the lodge where we stayed was lovely, cleaned perfectly, beds we’re comfortable, had everything you needed plus a lovely view, couldn’t really ask for much more. the reception staff were friendly and helpful, bar staff were the opposite, apart from 1 young lad, didn’t get his name

the hotel itself is very dated, there are a lot of renovations going on atm, so that will be interesting to see, we had a drink in the bar but had to leave, we sat at on 2 different sofa areas and the smell of damp was so bad we just ended up leaving cause the smell was making me feel ill. your not allowed in the property till 4pm, not 2pm like it says on booking.com site, and 10am departure day, I think £200 for less than 24hr in a accommodation is a bit steep, £260 if you want use of the hot tub, and I’m guessing that’s winter prices and that till go up in the summer, there are places to stay right in town for more than half the price. as a special occasion yes, everytime you visit Brixham….probably not due to the price.

Apartment very well finished to high standard, great view, great location.

Heat sensor over hob that isolates hob and oven that isolates when you walk away or it gets hot. Not a problem if you know how to deal with it, Heating controls very hard to use if you don't like the set room temps.

Useful to have a lift for our 2nd floor room "with a view", which was actually a sea view. Excellent dinner - better than similarly priced restaurant in town. Good starting point for walk to Berry Head - which has a friendly cafe.

The location is exceptional, the room clean and comfortable with a large bed and super shower. The food in the brasserie was also excellent, and the staff friendly and efficient.

Stunning views, very friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Nothing could have been better in the apartment. The quality of the food in the Bistro was excellent although they did forget my starter on one of the evenings.

I like the view

I don't like the room that was given to us, not value for money. And the room was very hot it makes sleep unbeatable.

We stayed in a self catering apartment and it was fantastic, clean and modern just as the pictures describe But that view is just amazing ..worth going just to sit and look out at the passing boats . Nice little touch of bread , milk and some tea coffee supplies on arrival and a washing up pack to start you off. Lovely food in the Bistro and great view from the outside seating area .

I know it’s not the hotels fault at all but we stayed during the second heatwave of the summer and unlike the hotel the apartments don’t have aircon as they’ve set it up for the UK so they have underfloor heating instead which wasn’t on during our stay thank goodness 😉, so if it’s hot whilst you are there please do take a fan or two as we did as the bedrooms did get REALLY hot if it’s really hot out as we had 25 degs and above ..the hotel did also supply us with a fan too so all good. We used the hotel pool every day and children loved it and we were given pool towels on one occasion to be told on another visit to the pool that apartments can’t have use of hotel pool towels so think that’s a bit off as we are paying guests .
