Staff were friendly
It felt like a backpacker accomodation not something that was costing $600/night. To be honest I’ve stayed in much nicer backpacker accommodation than what this place offers. Average room, very small bathroom. Quite run down. No heaters turned on in the dry room. Even though it stated it would be warmed at certain times of the day. So snow gear could not dry. No table in the room, so trying to get some computer work done was awkward. Couldn’t even use their lounge area downstairs as it only opened from 5pm. So had to resort to sitting on the bed to get some work done.

Room was clean enough, decent toilet shower and bed.
Not offering a microwave and fridge as part of your room is crazy. Got told by staff to not cook 2 minute noodles in the kettle because people always do it. Maybe a sign to just include a microwave.
Restaurant option is crazy expensive, min $74 per head. Which would be okay if the food was good. 12hr slow cooked lamb, maybe should have come out at 10hrs because it was dryer than the pits of hell. The salmon and the appetizers were okay. However for that price in "fine dining" I expect more than a pan fried salmon on some uninspired potatoes i could whip up at home.
Staff were very poor, especially reception. My girlfriend called the reception to get the wifi password and was met with no response. We then texted the mobile number and got given the password only for it to be incorrect. When we replied back stating their password is incorrect we got left on read....
Overall crazy expensive, which on the mountain is expected. But the facilities, staff, amenities and restaurant are absolutely piss poor.

Clean
The lighting system with sensor keep turn on and off, the entire facility is so dark and the included buffet are extremely poor with cereal and toast only

The cost performance was very good. They have a room where they can store your snowboard and skis. Also also they have a dry room you can leave you wet clothes.
It’s quite far from the centre of Buller. It’s better to have more information about village transportation when people check in.

clean room but very small
no plug in bathroom
very dirty smelly kettle

seemed more like a backpackers hotel. no shampoo and conditioner when already in shower, watery body soap that I ended up using on my hair. There was hair in my bedding and on the towels in the bathroom. roof cracked in bathroom. I had booked two rooms and similar sooty in both!
in short did not feel like a $400 a night !!!
that as a loyal customer for 10 years and booking two rooms every time , when I requested to downgrade I was asked to pay more !!!! really !!!

Nothing
We booked a room with a “balcony” but said balcony was just a fire escape that gave any human animal or other direct access to our room.

Right near a free shuttle bus stop for easy access to the village. Not far to walk to village. Restaurant for evening meal was delicious.
Breakfast was very basic with minimal options (stated as continental but only offered cereal toast and pancakes). Not at all satisfying when going skiing and considering cost of room.

Location
Bathroom dirty, very expensive but very poor quality.
Check in is 4:30pm but the check out is 10am..

Prompt service, had an issue sleeping because of the noise and it was immediately rectified! Reception staff, specially Bianca, was quite nice and helpful. Good thing they had their own ski equipments for rentals, avoided the hassle of queues at the centre. Overall aura of the inn was pretty good, quite and cozy.
Had trouble sleeping because of the noise but staff did something immediately. Smelly odour coming out of the toilet. Would have been nice if the restaurant was open for dinner too.
