Very nice house on the river with all the amenities. Great location. Nearby traffic is noisy but didn’t bother us.

Beautiful spot on Tuckaseegee river. Since we kayak, we could launch right out of the front yard. Large deck on the house to enjoy the view, nice gazebo right by river. House is in great shape. Only 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms, but if your party can fit, lovely spot. Easy walking distance to Dillsboro - Haywood BBQ spot is ideal BBQ joint, Boots is an tasty upscale steak house.

This is the second time my family has been here, and it won't be the last! We love it so much. The view from the porch is perfect. Our baby girl loved pushing her stroller around on the porch! Loved the fenced in yard for our pup. The only cons were the floor was pretty sticky in the kitchen, but it was an easy clean up. The dishes were still in the dishwasher, but easy to put them up. The towels, washcloths, and hand towels in the bathroom smelled sour, but it was easy to put them in the washer. Can't wait to go back!!

The home was definitely as described in the listing. Very clean. Only one issue on check in which was the full trash cans. Made contact and was picked up in a couple hours. Had a very good time in the area. Would highly recommend!

Relaxing place, close to several small, quaint towns in the mountains. Great outside sitting areas by the river.

We loved being able to walk to Dillsboro! Clean and comfortable. Kitchen is not stocked great, but we made due.

It was easy to rent. The home was in great condition and just beautiful. Great location.

We had a relaxing time at the River House. Defintly Pet Friendly and well stocked with anything you may need. The house was very clean and the grounds are as beautiful as the pictures. The only complaint which others have stated is the truck noise on the highway (the state should prohibit air brakes in this area of Hwy 441 and the problem would almost entirely be elimimated) just my thoughts. Would definlty book again. We appreciate the owners sharing their slice of Heaven with us.

This cabin is very clean and perfect for a family of 4. It faces the river which makes a perfect view all the time. They keep everything up-to-date and the doc looks new. I was a little worried about not having much to do around but I was very wrong. You can walk to the downtown right from the cabin. There is actually alot to do within a 30-45min drive. I am happy we picked this cabin and area. We will definitely be back

When we found the property on the net we felt like we had found the perfect place to stay to celebrate our anniversary (47) and my wife's birthday (73). We were very excited! Within 1 hour of arriving, we met the neighbor. I was walking our dogs along the river and they crossed the property line by 5 feet into her yard. She came running out screaming that I keep my dogs out of her yard. After that, we started to get settled into the property and we fired up the fireplace. The temperature was cold outside and it was nice. After a few hours, we retired to the bedroom. Unfortunately, the bedrooms were cold to our liking and I was hoping the fireplace might help. When I went back to the great room, I couldn't get the fireplace started again. I called the rental again and they said they would get someone out to fix it. By noon the next day, I tried contacting the agent again and a maintenance person soon came out. Unfortunately, he said the fireplace had a broken part it would have to be ordered. The following morning, I walked the dog again and my dog had crossed the neighbor's "boundary line" again and again the witch came screaming out her door. I yelled back that it was an accident. By now I'm second-guessing my choice of a place to stay. We decided to try and relax with breakfast and watch the local news. Unfortunately, the big TV in the great room could not get any local stations. I contacted the agent and I was told it should get the local stations and they would have someone out to fix it after a while. At this point, my wife and I decided it was time to pack up and leave....a day early.

Our family of 4 plus 1 dog stayed here very comfortably over Thanksgiving .The location is great! The outdoor area was perfect for our dog, and the seating at the river Bank was so beautiful!

Very nice stay at River House with river view & gazebo with swings. Dillsboro is convenient location for day trips to Cherokee, Sylva, Bryson City (for Polar Express, purpose of our trip) & even Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. House had all amenities mentioned & needed, tastefully decorated & comfortable. Driveway access is described adequately in other comments, best to arrive during day, which we did. Would stay again & recommend.

Wonderful house by the Tuckaseegee River. We loved hanging out in the gazebo and on the upper deck. You can easily walk into Dillsboro, which we did often. House was clean and well-appointed, although we couldn't figure out how to get network channels on the TV. Very comfortable. We plan to come back!

The only thing I didn’t like about this property was it did not belong to me. I loved it. It was clean and dog friendly. My dogs did not want to leave. The river is tranquil and my soul needed that. The swings by the river and the hammocks are a bonus. The weather was great. The leaves were starting to change and I wish I could have stayed longer. I did not get to use the fire pit because of my lack of effort but it was all set up with a pile of wood ready to go. It is close to town and a quick walk down the tracks could get you there. My dogs loved that too. I do hope that I will get to stay here again when I am in the area.

Super clean, Great location except for sound of nearby highway traffic. Charming property right on the river.

Beautiful Home, nobody bothered us. Water heater could use turning up a little Hot shower was warm, couldn't get it any hotter. Very clean. We left a small load of laundry in the dryer. Called and paid a $25.00 fee for return fee. They let us know they found it and would be sending it back. WE HAVEN'T GOTTEN IT BACK. MADE 2 ATTEMPTS VIA EMAIL TO FIND OUT WHERE AND WHEN WE SHOULD GET IT. RECEIVED NO RESPONSE ANSWER BACK EITHER. MY FAVORITE OUTFIT WAS IN THAT DRYER. BEST ADVICE make darn sure you don't leave anything.

Very clean and comfortable. Location in Dillsboro great for exploring Sylva, Franklin and Bryson City. Rafting Company across the river and that was a blast. Good places to eat. Everything you would want to enjoy your stay!!!

This is the second time staying here in two years. The house is clean and nicely furnished, 5 stars. The electronic door lock quit, same as last year. Couldn't get in and then couldn't lock the door. Fortunately after a phone call I was given access to the lockbox for another key until it was fixed a day later. Same issue coincidentally, as last year. Down to 4 stars. It's the driveway after the railroad tracks that is the killer. Unless you have 4-wheel drive you'll be spinning gravel and deepening the two-track rut, washboard, even at creeping speed coming up the hill. It needs a concrete or asphalt repair. A length of 6-10 feet in both tracks would do it.

This was the best rental we’ve had for our dogs! They could sit with us on the front porch ( which was most of the time!)and go to the backyard themselves without any chance of getting loose. Very convenient! The home is very comfortable and homey. Very well stocked with everything we needed. Centrally located for all our day trips, even Dollywood! The beds were very comfortable. Really enjoyed the front porch watching the kayakers and tubers float down the river, and looking at the mountains! Just beautiful! We hope to be back soon!

Very clean. Nice kitchen pretty well stocked with pots/pans, dishes, glassware and utensils— even the steak knives were sharp! Porch wonderful, grill clean and nice. Furniture comfortable, nice landscaping and river view. Enjoyed the little dock area and if you walk to the boat launch area—only a few yards— pups could play in river. Didn’t appreciate the former guests did not I know up after their dog. Leaving me to clean it up for my dogs do they don’t end up getting dirty in it (they wrestle with each other) plus did not want the next person thinking I was so irresponsible! Property is perfect for pups as well as very well kept, really appreciate that!!

We very much enjoyed relaxing on the front deck, watching the tubers and rafters going down the “”Tuck”. The River House was a perfect base for exploring WNC area. The home was clean, inviting, well stocked and very pet friendly.

Overall, this was a very nice, comfortable stay. I was timid at first since it is dog friendly (I am allergic to animals) but it was exceptionally clean. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and electric kettle. I would return to stay in the River House.
