Not a lot to like if I’m completely honest. The appearance of the hotel itself is lovely and the rooms are basic but nice. Ensuit bathroom was nice.
Window in our room didn’t lock so didn’t feel too safe. The radiator was stuck on, was blasting heating out and couldn’t get it to turn off. It’s only September it’s no where near cold enough to have the heating on full. Turned the dial on the radiator all the way down, even left the window open a little and curtains open, left to get dinner for an hour or so, came back and it was still boiling hot in the room. Didn’t get a wink of sleep as it was too hot. Bed wasn’t awful just extremely squeaky and pillows were rock hard and hurt my neck to sleep on. TV kept glitching and wouldn’t load up anything.

Breakfast was very basic. Quite a lot of noise from people moving about during the night.
Noise. Rumours of a mouse in the kitchen

Clean bed linen.
No one to greet you even though you had to book a time slot to check in. No one picked up when I called several times, and I couldn't leave a message as it said unavailable. Another guest had to explain how you found your room/ key, etc. This had been explained to him by another person whom he'd met the night before. Made me anxious as a single woman. There was so little correspondence and recognition regarding my safety and security. Doors left unlocked, no codes given, full of male inhabitants that were fine, but unfamiliar, and no one to connect to if feeling unsafe. The walls were insubstantial, and I could hear other's conversations deep into the night. The bathroom light adjacent to my room didn't work, so I had to use the facilities in complete darkness. Bed OK for comfort but creaky as hell! Groaned every time I moved!
Not my best experience. I was glad to leave and definitely would not stay there again. A shame for them as I frequent the area regularly. But they're obviously making money doing very little, so why change?

Nice surroundings, Quiet area, Well priced
Lots of noise inside the building, Doors being opened were squeaky (WD40 is cheap, Give them a little squirt) and guests slamming doors, This was of course the other guests not being considerate though and not the actual B&B.

Good location, nice parking spaces outside but the room was nothing like the photos showed when booking the room
The room given was not as shown on the listing, didn’t like the room and ended up checking in elsewhere

Location
Smelt of curry throughout. Very tired not like website pictures. My shower didn’t work hardly any water, a leak from the unit and the hose attachment, toilet seat too small and no plug near mirror that worked. No hairdryer which is standard anywhere, will kit be returning.

It's a cosy guest house. The breakfast was available at any time. Lots of space downstairs. Own parking. The room was nice and warm. There was a huge and nice shower room and toilet on the floor. Highly recommended.

The location was good for our needs
The grounds are messy, although it is through the winter months and old Christmas tree was thrown in the front garden, there was no double glazing or secondary glazing the property was dated and needed a fresh coat of paint outside. The rooms were clean and very basic. The bathroom had no heat and the sink was hardly big enough to get your hands in, towels supplied very small, could have done with a couple of bath towels. The two rooms we booked had only one small radiator in which wasn’t enough to heat the room, the little time spent in the room we either had our coats on or under the quilt to keep warm. We didn’t use the shower as the room was so cold in the room. The kitchen area was only as clean as the other guests left it, dirty washing up and plates and pans left on the drainer. Another family staying were cooking curry at 8am. Didn’t look into the breakfast as the kitchen was being used by another family, went out to find somewhere to eat. Fire door and main door on the ground floor constantly banging as no soft close. Bedding was clean, however bed propped up by a piece of wood. We would rather of spent £20/£40 more for a warm room at a travel lodge.

TV, we couldn't get it to work, and there were no instructions.
Toilet seat moves
Sink too small

the room was adequate, but that was about all I can say.
supposed to get a breakfast included, but all there was on offer was a bowl of cereal and toast and coffee/tea also there was a communal kitchen through the lounge accessed by a fire door which was always banging when people used this door

It was clean but there was no one from the establishment at the house at all.
The fire door into the lounge had no dampner so that from 5.00am onwards everytime someone entered to go into the kitchen it shut with a mighty bang that could be heard throughout the house and particularily our room next door to the lounge. Not condusive to sleep. This is an air Band B not a hotel.

Perfect location quiet and secluded. The amenities were accessible and plentiful.
Stayed in the garden room and the bed definitely needed updating.

The set up for breakfast help yourself but enough choice
The cleanliness the bathroom was so small and dirty. Dirty scale around the shower sink cupboard door and toilet seat needs a good descale. Also grooved door in grooves very dusty

This is a great idea a combination of hiring a self catered place and b and b. So you have a communal kitchen with fridge, hob and microwave which for breakfast had bread yogurt and cereal and even almond milk! There are cafes and pubs nearby. You can store your own food in the fridge. There is a dining area and lounge. We stayed in room 5 which was spacious with a small en-suite. All you need. And the had ironing boards iron and hairdryers in a cupboard on the landing. Parking is free and if the hotel is full you can park on the road outside. This is excellent value for money. Short drive to the train station into London.

La casa por fuera.
Nada, reservamos para 3, pusieron para 2. Novhabía personal, el desayuno se acabó la leche y no había más ni personal a quién pedírselo.

Room was clean and tidy, though could not get the tv to work. Another guest had the same issue with their tv. Easily accessible drinks in the kitchen was good.
Breakfast or lack of. Someone had taken all the fresh milk from the fridge and the small amount left was off. Only a small amount of bread left to make toast. As there's no staff around you can't ask for anything. This was at 7am!
Could do with a sign outside the gate as it was tricky to spot in the dark and rain.

The house was lovely in a good location with two decent pubs nearby with good food
Poor room lighting and nowhere to dry towels
Room wasn't serviced during our 3 night stay
This is the first hotel or guest house where we had to make our own breakfast and wah our own dishes
An interesting stay but this doesn't qualify as a hotel

The lounge and kitchen were very lovely
The room was a little rough around the egde, paint work needs redoing, the bed wasn't the most comfy and the pillows were a bit thin. My main issue was the shared bathroom on the first floor. The water pressure was that bad that I struggled to wash my hair. Also the light was so dim that you couldn't tell it was on at night.
6.0 / 10.0
I liked the location, it was quiet and in a pleasant neighborhood.
The kitchen and living area were nice and well equipped and the breakfast fine and the garden was nice too.
The bathroom on the first floor was pretty sad and in much need of renovation. The shower was barely a trickle which made having a shower a challenge and in the morning I just didn't bother.
My bedroom door had an awful squeak each time I opened and closed it so I felt bad for other guests nearby.

The room was a lovely design and very comfortable. We had our own little garden :)

The rooms were okay, very clean, the cleaners were about and busy and doing a very good job. Bed was relatively comfortable. Really beautiful building and interior/interior design, none of which fits together with how the building was being used. Very odd place. More like an HMO than a hotel.
I've booked this property as my daughter was coming into Stanstead at midnight and had an athletics competition the next day and she needed to have a good night sleep and a decent breakfast. Neither of which was provided.
For a start the building was completely unmanned. No reception, no staff, you just get guided to your room by an email and left to it. There were cleaners the next day but that was it.
What was quite disconcerting was the fact that there are people actually living in the building, so it really wasn't a hotel by definition. Therefore all the rooms had extremely squeaky, noisy heavy fire doors which kept us up for a lot of the night as people moved around.
The aspect that upset us the most was the supposed 'breakfast'. I am vegan, she's a coeliac so a few miniboxes of cereal, milk, white bread and jam and instant coffee that was on all that was on offer, that you help yourself to was really not an acceptable 'breakfast'. No fruit. Nothing warm (well other than white toast) Guests were washing up their own bowls. I didn't book self catering! It was disconcerting opening fridges and food was labelled with peoples names and "do not eat". It turns out workers for the airport live here.
This wasn't even a particularly cheap 'hotel' but I ended up having to drive around everywhere and eventually spending £25 in a café , just to fill up my 'hangry' athlete.
Other guests were wandering around looking just as confused and fed up. Really regret booking here.

Lovely stay as always. Beautiful grounds and setting in old Harlow. Great selection to eat at breakfast.
Wish I could have stayed longer. Always goes to fast at Pages.

I stayed there as my niece was getting married just around the corner. It's a beautiful big house and there was a communal lounge, kitchen and fridge. Parking was also good and the room was very clean. I stayed in the garden room annexe, overlooking the garden, which was lovely.
The only thing I would say is that the property does need a little bit of attention in some areas. Don't get me wrong, it's really nice and my room was really done out lovely but the property does need some attention, here and there, and the garden could be worked on a bit more. My stay there was really good and my comments here are purely constructive feedback. I would recommend this property.

parking included, easy and simple access with checking in/out. We had to contact our he owner in regards to the whereabouts of and iron and ironing board and they replied almost instantly. will definitely stay again
guests have to wash their own dishes and some didn’t quite know how to it seemed. minor issue.

Location -close to the airport.
Very basic, do not expect a proper breakfast as well. But overall it is a good choice when you will consider the price.
Good stop after long flight to Stansted.
