Place was OK but for some reason it was impossible to get an accurate tax receipt for the stay. Manager was unhelpful then became outright rude. Soured the stay.

Clean and comfortable cottage. Everything is in the cottage that is needed fron a wonderful stay.

Unfortunately the mattress had completely collapsed, was incredibly uncomfortable, with displaced springs, and you had to cling to the sides to prevent yourself rolling into the middle. The middle sunk a good 9-12 inches from the sides of the mattress when you lay down, and sleep was thus very difficult. I note previous comments about the soft bed from guests, and the owner replying there was nothing wrong with the bed, but that is not true. In addition, the roof leaked, and we awoke to water dripping from the beam just beside the bed. Cleanliness could have been better - windows had mould, and skirting boards etc were dirty. This is a pity, as the cottage was obviously set up with love and care, and could be just perfect with a little maintenance.

Quaint little cottage. Could have been clearer in description. Stated 1 bedroom and 1 living room giving the impression of a separate bedroom when in fact a fully opened one room incl kitchen/meals, sitting area, bed and bathroom ( toilet seperate). Lovely garden at the back + small fire place in sitting area.

Cosy cottage but you cant be shy as no door to bathroom.

Catherine was a delight to deal with and even had the heater on for us before we got there on a very cold night. The cottage is immaculately clean and in a great location within walking distance to the centre of Daylesford. The only downside to our weekend is that the bed was way too soft for our liking and we kept rolling into the middle. There were also 2 dogs on nearby properties that barked and whined almost constantly, particularly at night.

The Sunrise Cottage (1)is well appointed Cozy and warm despite the cold weather. The surrounding garden is beautiful and will visit again in summer mths Only down side was a neighbours unhappy dog Barking and whinning

This cottage is the perfect option for a couples' (or solo) winter weekend in Daylesford and Hepburn Springs. It's small (so very easy to heat with the Ned Kelly stove or the reverse-cycle unit!) but has everything you could need, including a very well-appointed bathroom, laundry and kitchen. It's in a quieter part of Daylesford behind the botanical gardens so you don't hear any traffic - just the birds singing. And Catherine is lovely to deal with, plus she has endless recommendations of local places to eat and drink!

Quaint cosy little cottage with a lovely wood heater & a great spa bath. Right next to the Wombat hill gardens. Only negative was the great looking but rather uncomfortable & very soft bed.

Despite some initial communication issues regarding arrival time and check-in process we enjoyed a cosy, comfortable and quiet stay in the cottage and found it a good base from which to explore Daylsford and surrounding places of interest. Guests should be aware that check in codes that you may receive from Stayz are not reliable and neither is their description of a 'bedroom'. In fact the cottage has a studio style layout which is nonetheless cute and comfortable.

It's close to Daylesford but be advised that it's on top of the hill so if you want to enjoy couple of drinks and walk home, be prepared for a little 15 min hike. Apart from that, perfect place for a couple of nights in town.

Very comfortable and quiet within a lovely restful garden setting. Well-appointed kitchen, excellent shower, plenty of thoughtful and charming furnishings. TV reception was not great but it made the by-election even more fun to watch. The Botanic Gardens just a few metres from the property is a stunning place to explore on foot.

Relaxing and enjoyable

Very peaceful and relaxing holiday experience. Only downside would be patchy TV reception but not a holiday essential

Looked great in the photos but quite excited when we opened the door. Better than expected. Loved sitting on the rear porch in the morning sun and relaxing in the spa of an evening. We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and it was just what we needed. Thank you Catherine for making your wonderful cottage available to us. Look forward to returning another time.

The property was roomy, clean and had everything you would need. The gardens are lovely and it is not too far to walk into town although a bit up hill coming back. The botanic gardens are very close

The property location is excellent. A pity we stayed on the warmest day of year, there were heaps of flies, even at night. We literally only slept at the property. Daylesford is beautiful.

Beautiful property right near the botanical gardens. Easy to get everywhere and yet far enough from the main drag. Has everything you need and even things you don’t. Loved sitting by the fire relaxing at night and relaxing. Great getaway!

We were very pleased with our stay. Immaculate clean and fresh. Good location, not far from town but far enough not to be disturbed by the noise of cars and people. We enjoyed having a spa and the fire place. Altogether it made the place a place you didn’t want to leave.

Our first visit to Daylesford was made even more special with our 3 night stay @ Forget Me Not Moonlight Blue Miners’ Cottage. The Cottage was quaint surrounded by a beautiful garden & provided everything required for our stay. “The Perfect Getaway” Catherine was such a lovely Host & we look forward to returning one day.

Gorgeous little cottage close to the main street. Neat and tidy with all the essentials.

We did not get to stay there as the property was double booked. We had to spend an hour and a half getting alternate accommodation as a displaced traveller through Trivago I think. We also had to come home a day early as could not get accommodation for the 2nd night for our 25 year Wedding Anniversary.
