We were there over the New Year weekend, and we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived! From the chalkboard welcoming us with all the names of those in our family, to the beautiful Christmas tree set up in the living room, to the amazing gift basket with yummy goodies waiting on the counter, we felt instantly warm and cozy. There were 14 people in our group (our 4 children, their spouses, and 4 grandchildren, 3 of which were under 2 years old.) The property was a perfect size for us all, and the rooms/beds were very comfortable. The master suite is HUGE, and became a third hang-out at times! The game room downstairs was so well-equipped with many fun things to do (pool table, arcade game, foosball, and darts). We also took full advantage of the hot tub in the evenings. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. There were even extras that we didn't expect, like some spices, etc. The proximity to the resort was also a plus. It was only a couple blocks from the skiing, snowtubing, and ice skating offered at Bryce. We appreciated the detailed descriptions that were posted at the house so that we knew exactly how to operate anything we needed.
We also really loved the fun western decor.
One thing that we brought with us because of the young children, was a gate that we attached at the top of the stairs. With young ones, that is a necessity!
We had a really wonderful time in this beautiful place, and we would certainly love to return at some point!

Cedar Ridge provided a wonderful view of the forest. The lodge was so clean and welcoming. The youngins loved their room, Lake Laura and the hot tub. That was true for the adults as well. Morning coffee on the balcony in the rocking chair ,was marvelous for reflection and planning the day. Thank you all so much.

This is a very nice place, everything was provided for and explained well with in reason. Very easy to maintain and the kids and grandma loved it too. Recommend getting all your groceries prior to arriving because nearest Walmarts and Food Lion is 35 min away. If you're coming to visit the Bayse resort, it is literally 2 min away. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a few days at the resort and a few days lounging around at the house spending, much needed time with family.

We stayed at the Lodge during Christmas break, and everything was perfect! The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfy, plenty of activities around. The kids loved the arcade and dart board. And we were only 2 min away from the ski area. Made it easy to come home for lunch and dinner in between the ski sessions. Would highly recommend this place for families.

The lodge was super clean, very spacious. Gift basket was very nice. We had a great time and definitely would recommend the lodge. We had nine people. However, large enough the accommodate the 10-12. The grill and spa were awesome.

The property is very well managed. The owners give attention to details to make guests feel at home. It is warm, inviting and exceptionally clean. You see their pride in sharing their home. A welcome basket is left for the guests which was fun to have upon our arrival. They immediately got back to us to help us with their tv technology that we are not good with. There’s lots to do at the home if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Pool table, hot tub, darts, board games ( would recommend adding the location of the board games in the owners house guide) and an electronic arcade (at least 1,000 games that four people can play together). Our adult children loved it. We will definitely recommend the property to our skier friends for a winter adventure.

The adults loved the different areas for family and the porches. The children were safe with the good railings and gates. The new arcade game was a hit.

Nice place and a great Host!
We spent our Spring 2022 here with our extended families. We loved this place, especially the details and decorations. Kids liked the Pool Table and the Hot tub. Thanks for being such a great host and upkeep of this property. Definitely would recommend to anyone and also would like to stay again in this place next year

Peaceful Family Weekend
Had a nice, quite 3-day weekend. Home was larger than expected. Livingroom areas are larger than pictures indicate. Very well decorated and exceptionally clean. It was warm enough to enjoy the rocking chairs on the front porch and barbequing and eating meals in the screened-in porch. 4 full bathrooms are neat & clean with great towels! The kitchen had all that we needed, and more. Lou left us a nice basket of goodies/snacks for our arrival. We enjoyed the basement large screen TV; Pool table; Darts; and Hot tub. Plenty of space for our party of 8. The homes next door are a little close, but ere very quite, not even sure anyone was home.

Amazing Mini Vacation
Cedar Ridge Lodge was a perfect spot for our mixed group of teenagers and adults. We loved having the space to spread out but yet get together for evening tournaments in darts and pool. The gift basket upon arrival was a huge hit and the welcome message was super nice.

Great getaway
Fantastic location and house! With the short drive from the DC metro area, this house will likely become the go to for our long weekend getaways. Can't say enough about the house as it was the perfect size for our group and it was well furnished and had the amenities to boot. Access to some of the resort amenities, particularly the playground and tennis courts would be nice but as we pretty much stayed in the house for a majority of the time it wasn't a major issues at all. The local general store was a big win as well.

Wedding weekend getaway
Rented this home for a wedding weekend at Bryce and it was exactly what we needed. Plenty of space for couples and singles alike, and was very comfy for pre and post wedding activities. We especially enjoyed the screened in patio and front deck. One thing I noticed was the lack of locks on a few of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Would be nice to see that addressed. Other than that we had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Guys weekend getaway
5 high school friends go away somewhere different every year. We stumbled upon this house due to the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms. We each had our own room which helped a lot. Property was clean, but did not have many cleaning supplies. We had to purchase paper towels, trash bags and an all-purpose cleaner. Not a big issue but having more supplies to keep things clean would helpful. Not much of a yard and a steep drop off in the backyard make it difficult for outside yard games, but we made the driveway work. Not much around in the summer unless you like golf, and it felt like good restaurants were 30+ minutes away. We understand this is a rental and most guests do not take care of things, but the kitchen could use an updated toaster/toaster oven and maybe a nicer set of pots and pans. The grill was immaculately clean and the sheets and linens were top notch. Lots of chotchkies in the home and still very clean; no dust. The master suite is huge!! It was very quiet but being in the mountains, not being able to have a campfire was a negative. Overall, we made it a great time and the size, cleanliness, responsive manager, ease of check-in and checkout all contributed to a great stay!

A wonderful home in the mountains
Our family enjoyed a wonderful vacation in this beautiful, well-appointed home in Basye, in the Virginia mountains. The amenities, from hot tub to pool table to welcome basket, screened-in porch, and large gas grill, made our time even better. The privacy and quiet, especially at night, were real treats.

Well managed, great property!
This is a really well-run property - we needed absolutely nothing and there were plenty of instructions on every possible thing, as well as a very well described checkin/checkout experience. Very comfortable for both a lazy day and a place to return to after hiking. I wish all vrbo properties were managed like this!

Wonderful
Our family and friends had a wonderful stay at the Cedar Ridge Lodge. The property is beautifully maintained and it is close proximity to Bryce Resort and the Community Store. We were welcomed with a sign when we arrived, chocolates on all of the beds and a big welcome basket full of lots of delicious goodies. We were sad to leave, but we will DEFINITELY stay there again. We were there with another family to enjoy Bryce Resort and a winter weekend getaway. The house was full of amenities and spacious enough to accommodate all. We were greeted with a welcome basket that included sweet and savory snacks, which was a nice surprise. We would stay here again!

Winter getaway
Excellent stay at the lodge. Tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable home away from home. The property manager was very helpful. We had tons of fun and enjoy the stay very much. Thank you for the personal note and little treats around the house, it made it even more special. Location is ideal within 10 min walking from the Bryce resort. Highly recommend

Ideal Mountain Getaway
The Cedar Ridge Lodge provided everything we were dreaming for our family reunion, and more! We were nervous about the size of our family (6 adults and 5 children) and not having enough space to accommodate comfortably. This home has spacious living areas, but retains that comfortable cabin like feel.
We were very impressed with the logistics from booking to check out...they have everything down so you can spend the most time enjoying your vacation.
If you are looking for a warm feeling mountain getaway that is spacious/comfortable enough to fit many group sizes, this is your Rental.

excellent large home
This property is in the best condition of any VRBO I have rented. Spotless and well-maintained. The kitchen is fully stalked. It isn't a huge house but it is really well designed to work with a large group. Everything is labeled and instructions are provided for everything. Cleaning up for check out took us about an hour and I noticed some people complained of that. I didn't think it was a big deal and built it into our time line. The location was ideal. Street is quiet. Kitchen fully stocked. Would rent here again.
