Good location. Spacious rooms.

The bed was uncomfortable. It was squeaky and the mattress was too soft.

Breakfast was delicious and left feeling satisfied

The outside room access because it was cold but no big deal.

The owner lady was very welcoming and lovely gesture of decanter of port in the room as a welcome , very nice. Lovely open fires in the bar/dining areas.

The room walls are very thin and we had family with children next door and the kids were closing the doors with a bang. Once later on in the evening and asleep it was ok. Breakfast was lovely but when my wife asked for a croissant she was told no. You have a choice of continental or cooked. Surely a croissant or extra toast would have made it so much better and a couple slices of bread extra wouldn’t break the bank. It’s a nice quiet retreat in its appearance and location and I don’t think the pool table in the bar is warranted, it takes away the nice feel about the place, as it makes a horrendous noise of balls being struck when all you want to do is have a nice quiet relaxing drink. We did go into the adjacent room closer to the dining room but had to go back through two doors to go the bar to get a drink.

Great location, restaurant was good

Lovely open fire, everything needed in room: heating, hairdryer, minibar, heated towels, amenities, tea & coffee, etc. Meals were good, drinks reasonably priced.

Bed a bit hard, chairs at table worn and uncomfortable to sit at.

The food at the restaurant in-house was really good, both breakfast and dinner. Everything appeared to be freshly prepared, and the portions were decent. The reception staff was always welcoming and helpful. The room was already heated upon arrival.

The kettle in the room was rusty and dirty on the inside. Inside the sink, bath tub, and toilet, yellowish stains are visible. I did not get much sleep due to the springs I could feel through the mattress. The internet connection was not usable at times.
