We absolutely loved this house! There was plenty of room for 4 families to all spread out, and everyone had their own space with own bathrooms & private decks. We were a little surprised with how close to town it was, I didn’t really catch that in the listing, so it was pretty loud outside, but great for our first day to Anakeesta which you can see from the house! A bear walked right in front of us the very first morning, which made our whole trip!! We loved playing pool together after a long day of hiking, (speaking of: be sure to wake up bright & early to be able to find parking for the trails!). Beds were all super comfortable as well. I would recommend packing extra kitchen wash rags & dish towels, as there was only one each per kitchen space. Views are incredible at this place!

My friends and I brought our sons out to Gatlinburg for a boys weekend. The house was great. Everything was clean, comfortable, and organized. The bedrooms were spacious and accommodations were more than adequate. Kitchen setup worked well for the group. Dining table room was great for us all to sit down. The three separate levels was very nice to ‘space out’ some as required. We used the hot tub and deck grill with no issues. Overall great property, thank you!

We stayed at Almost Home the week of Spring Break. The house is gorgeous and the details all throughout are exquisite. The special touches are really one of a kind.
Our families loved the outside deck, views for days, really spectacular. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub, around the kitchen island and on the comfy couches. Not to mention, the awesome game room with pool table and arcade games.
My one minor complaint would be to offer blinds in the 3rd floor bedrooms. The long windows provide a beautiful view but the sun could almost be blinding in the AM. It would be nice to have the option to use blinds. Location to downtown Gatlinburg can not be beat. Thanks for providing an exceptional home for our vacation.

The cabin is extremely close to the strip, but still provides excellent mountain views. The cabin was the perfect size for our large family and had plenty of room for us to spread out. We will definitely visit here again.

Bad driveway layout, to turn right/out down to down even front of F150 scrapes, other party had VW Passat and metal frame hit bottom needs 10' of more gentle slope or wider flare up hill side to be safe/drivable. Electric outlets sketchy, in Kitchen could not power toaster, dozen ish others could not charge iPhone so hunted around and found outlets that worked. Hottub dropped to 80 degrees randomly for no known reason, worked the next day. Owner aggressive imo. Claims camera's only outside, who knows. Felt a bit 'big brother' ish. We came in, turned on gas fireplace and then we got insta-text "fireplace not allowed with AC on", even though I'd not touched HVAC yet I insta-apologized then checked HVAC and was on heat. Not sure what he was looking at. Next day (March 12th) it was 28 degrees, heat on and I went to turn on fireplace but noticed on each FP switch it said "FIREPLACE only to be used Nov-FEB .... so I guess avoid this place in October/March when freezing in the mountains? When we checked in, wife noticed knob/handle missing on a dresser.....typical of rentals and not a complaint by me as we don't use dressers on vacation so did not need it. Thought nothing of it until we checked out, 2 hours later passive aggressive (owner from an 937 area code) sent a LONG and accusing text "..... houskeeping reported dresser missing handle..." "..we need to know what happened and where the drawer handle is..." and comments accusing us of breaking or taking some crap wooden handle we never touched. $5k for a few nights to be hassled? We use VRBO often at this/higher price points....literally never been hassled like this. I was driving so I sent a quick " am driving, no idea what you are talking about but will reply when safe home".... THE OWNER quickly replied with a terse/unfriendly/ assuming I was to blame (again) text with ".... we will be awaiting your response...cleaners take inventory every time guest checks out....which is why the found the damage".... By this point the wife had told me it was missing when we checked in but no big deal, missing bits in most houses we rent'..... SO, OWNER...obviously your trusty cleaning crew missed it on one or more prior stay guest as was not us..... Before I could send my reply, OWNER texts a happy " housekeeping found handle, no need to reply, thank you, safe travels. SO NOW he is SORRY to have blamed us? Also minor trip hazard on chipped deck and what looks like Bear clawed lock by parking

We had a great time at Almost Home! There was plenty of space for my family and my sister's family. We cooked our Holiday meal int he amazing kitchen that came with everything you could need! We love dhow short the walk was to downtown Gatlinburg and still had a beautiful view. My only suggestion is during the colder months you may want to bring a few blankets the only ones on the property are on the beds. Besides that I would highly recommend this property to anyone!!!

Majestic Mt.
Beautiful almost new home. Well designed for a family vacation. Furnishings were outstanding as were the very comfortable sleeping arrangements. Loved the 3 floor design and the on suite for each bedroom. Beautiful views for relaxing time. Perfect location for us. Close to the park for hiking. Close to downtown for restaurants and activities.

Three couples and kids covering three generations from Medicare to baby were fully able to enjoy time together - meals, games, and stories; and had plenty of space to escape for “me time” in beautiful, quiet solitude. The kitchen, table, and deck were the most common spots for interaction – all beautifully appointed inside and magnificent views of the Great Smoky Mts and Gatlinburg. Trails/hiking, Visitor Center, and downtown only a short drive away.
Do it again? Absolutely!

The property was in a great location and was very clean! The management company was very helpful and accommodating as we lost power during a wind storm and they checked on us to make sure we were okay. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

This cabin was perfect for my wife’s birthday getaway, that we spent with 3 other couples. Enough room for each of our personal space, as well as ample room when we got together to celebrate. Definitely a place we would like to revisit.

We had an excavator and dozer working early in the mornings just below us. Not terrible, but also not a good thing for late sleepers. I'm not one of them, so it really didn't bother me. The only thing I can think needs improvement would be the coffee pot. Just too cheap for such a nice place. The Owner is very intelligent as I tried an old sales tactic on her of offering a lower price than the home is worth, and she did not bite with a reply of a higher price to give me a starting point to purchase the home. Rent this place; you will not be disappointed!

I can tell the owners really love the house and I can see all the love they put into it. One of the things we all noticed was the comfort of the beds! Let me tell you this is HUGE.. I’ve stayed in many homes that were nice but the beds were hard an uncomfortable. Believe me it makes a big difference. All the decorations were beautiful. The location of the home is central and the views were spectacular. We will be staying in this home in the near future. To whoever reading this, you will not be disappointed!!!

Extravagant cabin stay
This was by far the most beautiful cabin we’ve ever stay in. There were 8 of us total, and more than enough room for us all. We got to explore all of Gatlinburg by UTV, and visited all of the shops and Ober. By days end is was nice to go back to the cabin and enjoy all of its beauty. We even got to see a mama bear and her 3 Cubs right under the cabin. That was remarkable to get to watch from the 2nd floor deck. This cabin was definitely worth every penny.
