Cute little house with everything we needed for a comfortable Thanksgiving week. The front and backyards are nicely landscaped and furnished.

Rachel’s place was perfect for our Labor Day getaway! We appreciated her being there to show us around (even though we arrived quite late) and answer any questions we had. The house is comfortable and felt spacious, the countertops and fixtures are super cute too! The Nespresso machine is awesome and everything I never knew I needed, it’s on my Christmas list now! Coffee on the front porch in the morning is so nice and the backyard is gorgeous as well. The outdoor shower came in handy after a day spent at the beach. There was plenty of parking both in the driveway behind the house and on the street, the neighborhood is quiet and super cute. Close to all that OB has to offer but far enough away that it’s quiet and calm. We walked to Sunset Cliffs for an incredible sunset view, walked to the OB pier and walked to The Cliffs Cafe for breakfast burritos and coffee. The location worked very well for all of our San Diego adventures including the San Diego Zoo, Old Town, Seaport Village and Petco Park. We will be back!

Loved this cottage. A lot of thought went into decorating and stocking the house for anyone's stay. Everything was at our fingertips. Loved the 1950's vibe, especially the kitchen and that refrigerator straight out of 1955. Beautiful property. Great romantic get-away. Very restful when you get used to the jets going out of San Diego airport. They never stop. I can't say enough about dealing with the owner, Rachel was wonderful and helpful in every way. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a fabulous time at this charming, colourful cottage in Ocean Beach. The neighbourhood is great and feels safe and friendly the beach is a few minutes away as well as shops, restaurants and markets in Ocean Beach. There's a laid-back California vibe about the cottage with vintage and retro furnishings giving it a fun, holiday feeling - with California shutters and ceiling fans keeping it cool and breezy. We loved it all: the front deck has exceptionally comfortable furniture - a hammock to enjoy as well as a conversation area for drinks at sunset. The back garden has bbq, table for eating and more comfortable seating as well as a hot tub and our personal favourite - the outside shower. Rachel has provided everything we could have wanted: beach towels, bikes, boogie boards, and a really well stocked kitchen to help enjoy the wonderful local produce. I would not hesitate to book the cottage again and hope to return before too long!

Well furnished with plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and, silverware. We have stayed many places and this is usually not the case. so greatly appreciated.. Very convenient for shopping and dining. Rachel (the owner) was easy to communicate with and work with. Beautifully landscaped and manicured lawn, garden/flowerbeds. Large backyard with plenty of chairs a wrought iron dining table, a hot- tub, and a large, very clean gas grill. Convenient parking in the front or rear of the home. Quality clothes washer and dryer. We highly recommend this fabulous home and will be back :)

This was our 2nd vacation at colorful coastal cottage and it did not disappoint. Rachel is a wonderful host, easily accessible and the house has everything you need. Beautiful ocean sunsets at night, close walk or bike to town. Definitely a great place.

We stayed for 4 nights in mid-June.The house was just as shown in the website pictures. Immaculately clean, fun 50's vibe. Spacious back yard, perfect place to hang out. A panoramic view of the ocean from the front porch, with wonderful breezes. Set up to enjoy all outdoor spaces, plenty of space inside for 2-4 people. It's a quiet walkable neighborhood, just a few blocks from the main drag. Love that there's a parking spot in the back, if needed, but we had no problem parking on the street. Wish we could have spent more time there.

Beautiful cottage decor and very clean. Complete kitchen allowed us prepare some meals there. Walking distance to Cliffs path. We absolutely loved it!

This was our second time time to stay at the Colorful Coastal Cottage and we had a wonderful time there with friends who joined us for the week. Rachel is an excellent host, and the home is clean, comfortable and inviting with great indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and hangout. We highly recommend the cottage for its location, charm and many amenities!

We stay at a handful of vacation rentals annually and this one is definitely at or near the top of our list of favorites. The location is fantastic, the home is incredibly well thought out and super cute, and the property manager is top notch. This will be on our list for a return trip to San Diego!

The Colorful Cottage exceeded our expectations! It had everything we needed and then some for our stay. Super clean, impeccable beach cottage design, ocean views from many windows. The outdoor spaces were so inviting we spent lots of time hanging out and relaxing. Rachel was amazing, super kind and helpful. We’ve been to San Diego many times but never stayed in OB. It was very charming and walkable. We will be back!

Great location, off street parking ( though plenty of street parking), quiet neighbors and never bothered by overhead air traffic. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

I so enjoyed my stay at the Colorful Coastal Cottage! I grew up in Point Loma/Ocean Beach so I know the area. I now live on the East Coast and needed a place to stay while I was "home" for a visit. This was the perfect location for walking to get a latte at a local spot in the morning, relaxing with family during the day, and watching the sunset in the evening. The house is extremely well maintained, and was the perfect size for my sister, my adult daughter, and I to hang out and enjoy ourselves. I've stayed in a lot of houses in many parts of the country over the years, and this house was very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The backyard was particularly amazing! I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you, Rachel, for your hospitality!

The coastal cottage was the perfect place for our vacation with our daughter and son-in-law. Location is fabulous, close to everything and those sunsets from the front porch….exquisite! The cottage has everything you need and is very comfortable and relaxing. Very quiet and just a quick bike ride to the beach. Rachel was the perfect host with many suggestions for outings and restaurants. Would 100% visit again.

Where do I even begin…Rachel and Jeff’s home is absolutely AMAZING!! They are the sweetest hosts and their home is truly a gem tucked away in the OB/Point Loma area. I am from San Diego and have stayed at tons of different rental properties over the years, and this was the BEST property we have ever stayed at. The location, cleanliness, ocean views, full equipped kitchen, hot tub, large backyard, comfy beds/pillows, and beach decor made our vacation simply perfect! This was the first time in 15 years I actually wanted to move back to San Diego lol! Sitting on the front patio every morning enjoying coffee and açaí bowls from The Cliffs Cafe set the tone for each day. The views were incredible and the walk to the beach was so fun. Can’t wait to make their home our yearly tradition every summer! Thank you so much again, we will be back soon! :)

The Coastal Cottage is a well kept, beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Rachel, the owner is amazing. She met us on the first day and showed us around. We loved the front patio and the backyard especially when it was lit up in the evening. It's close to everything we needed. We'll be back!

Our family of three spent 10 wonderful days over the holidays at the Colorful Coastal Cottage and truly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very comfortable, with many great amenities and within easy walking distance of the shore and downtown OB. We enjoyed the sunset from the front deck, relaxing in the hot tub in the beautiful backyard, and by the fire in the living room. Rachel and her family were great hosts and attentive to all details. The kitchen is well equipped and beds very comfortable. We look forward to returning to San Diego and the cottage again!

We are a family of four from the Midwest, and we found the Colorful Coastal Cottage to be perfect in every way! Noteworthy aspects include that the cottage was impeccably clean, adorably decorated, filled with thoughtful amenities, supremely located for activities within the village of Ocean Beach as well as the greater San Diego area, AND all of this was facilitated by a delightful and kind host. Rachel’s cottage is really lovely. It is actually nicer than the pictures. It is spotless, well decorated, and in a fantastic location. It’s only 2 blocks to the ocean and a short walk to downtown OB. The cottage has several areas to relax including a huge yard with a big hot tub. We spent most of our time on the front patio with the ocean view Rachel was great to communicate with and included a good hair dryer, shampoo, lotion, etc., well stocked kitchen, and plush linens. I can’t wait to go back! Thanks for the lovely weekend in OB.

Highly recommend Rachel’s place in OB. The check in process was a breeze, Jeff and Racheal were very helpful and easy to get in contact with. The house itself was amazing! It’s in a quiet part of OB but still only a 10–15 walk to everything you need. The beds were comfortable and it was well stocked. The best part was the outdoor area. There were places to sit and relax in both the front and back yard with grass, etc and there was even an outdoor shower with really hot water. We had a great time here, hope yo come back soon!
