What an absolute gem of a property! The house was incredibly clean and cozy. We enjoyed time around the fire, swims in the river, and all the local trails. John the property owner was so kind and wanted to make sure we had a perfect stay. We loved it so much, we have already booked for next year!

Absolutely perfect! Easy check in . Super helpful and friendly owners. Everything we came to do at our fingertips...The property is so peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. Creek on property offers fishing. Swimming hole few minutes away stunning. Cant wait to go back!!

Property was beautiful. House was clean, well equipped. We were there for the eclipse. Nice open space and weather was perfect. We walked to the river and explored. Also hiked in the surrounding area.

This location was wonderful! Super well stocked, very clean, comfortable beds/living area, and AMAZING communication! Could not have asked for better hosts to be honest! We used the location as a home base for hiking, and we loved it!

This home was lovely and peaceful in secluded area. Enjoyed outdoor firepit seeing stars and walking to river passing cows. Owner John and Amy very nice and responsive. Even turned porch lights on for our evening arrival and started fire in living area. Enjoyed food from Ozark Cafe and Jasper pizza in town approx. 15 minutes away. Fully stocked kitchen if you want to bring food and cook there. Coffee machine made good coffee with coffee sugar and creamer provided. Washer and dryer worked great too. Recommend for quiet and safe vacation spot!

This property was lovey, well equipped, exceptionally clean. The location was near a road but that was the front of the house, the vista out the back, the river access and firepit were all more than wonderful. Our host was very accommodating and responded above and beyond to our needs. We had a great time and would highly suggest this to anyone wanting to get out of town and closer to nature.

We had a short stay while driving through Ozarks. This place is secluded, Cozy Mountain and Ranch Home with beautiful views. We had outdoor fire going, enjoyed star view, beautiful sun rise from front porch. Thank you Amy and John for being amazing hosts. WE will return for longer time in the future :)

The property is as described. But the best part is the care that John takes to ensure guests are comfortable. This is our second time at the property. My kids remembered him from our first visit and will surely remember the wonderful conversations we had this time around as well. Amy provided good check in instructions and was available if we needed. Very close to jasper and plenty of hiking close by. Will visit again.

Our family loved soaking up the views and solitude at the rock house property. The communication with the host was easy and the owner even dropped by to make sure all was ok. Our kids can’t wait to go back.

Property was nice. My kids loved the space outside for playing. Jasper is just a few miles away. We enjoyed our weekend here very much.

We loved the rock house. The pictures don't do it justice the location is even more beautiful in person. The house was clean and stocked and Amy was great to communicate with. There is as great swimming hole down at the river and outdoor activities everywhere. We will definitely be back.

This property is hands down one of the best vacation rentals we have ever stayed at. The property itself sits in an absolutely beautiful, idyllic setting. The house has absolutely everything you could need and is very well stocked. We loved that the property had private river access to fish and swim. This home is in a good central location to many activities. Amy was wonderful to work with and very helpful. Mr. John is an absolute precious person and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to visit with him every day we were there. Without a doubt, his great hospitality and friendly nature is what made our trip one of the most memorable trips we have ever taken. Although our trip was short, it was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. I did not want to leave this beautiful property! We will definitely be back at some point.

Place was amazing! Great location and view.

Perfect place to hike, explore nature, and play in the Little Buffalo river. We had a blast. The house is comfortable and very well kept with lots of amenities and supplies. AC works good. The river runs the back of the property and plenty of pasture and woods to explore and see lots of wildlife. Town not too far a drive for supplies and large Buffalo river access nearby with some state parks. Many thanks to Amy and Mr. John, yall were great. Fast responses, very accommodating, and made our stay fun and memorable for sure. Mr. John even stopped by to chat and see how we were settling in and told us about the house and property. We felt welcomed in his home. 5 stars, definitely recommend and will stay here again next time we are up that way.

My family of four loved everything about our stay at the Rock House. Amy communicated all necessary information in advance of our stay, and the house met all of our expectations based on the information presented online. We cooked several meals in the well-stocked kitchen, and the washer and dryer were very helpful. I commented several times that this was the best stocked rental property we’ve ever stayed ay (e.g., seasonings, paper towels, towels/dish towels, trash bags, etc.). We enjoyed meeting Mr. John and chatting with him as well. He showed my husband around the property, including how to access the river/swimming hole. We swam a couple of times and fished with no luck of catching. The natural spring water in Shop Creek was perfectly clear and cool on a hot summer day. We had plenty of space and comfort in the cabin as well for our family of four. We used this Parthenon cabin as a central location for two hikes (Hawksbill Crag and Lost Valley) and two day trips to Branson. Jasper is in close proximity (6 miles) with restaurants and a grocery store that had everything we needed. Thank you so much to Amy and John for their hospitality. The cabin exceeded our expectations and we absolutely plan to come back soon!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Host was very helpful and accommodating. Loved having coffee on the porch in the morning while listening to birdsong. Will be back!

The Rock House was a great base for our weekend of hiking. The kitchen is well equipped. Since we had 2 couples, it was great to have two full baths. The beds were comfortable. Close to stores/restaurants in Jasper, and an easy drive to great hiking.

This is such a beautiful location and perfect for a family getaway. The home is lovely and the owner was so friendly and helpful. I can't recommend it more highly.

We loved our stay here. This was the perfect house to stay in to access hiking and off-road trails. The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We also loved walking the property and exploring the river that is within a 10 minute walk from the house.

The property was amazing, as was the host. Very friendly, and extremely accommodating. Kitchen/cooking supplies were slightly limited and bed was uncomfortable. Host was unaware of the bed issue until we spoke on our way out and he said a new bed would be purchased immediately. Our family loved every minute of our stay and we will most certainly book with them again in the future.

This cabin was spotless and just perfect! The river running through the back of the property was beautiful and had a nice place to sit in the water or swim in a deeper spot. It was close to a grocery store, a hike, state park, and more river spots. We loved this place!

This property is between Jasper & Ponca AR. We enjoyed riding and looking. Drove to Branson for a one day trip, driving was easy. If you are looking for a place of rest and restoration, this would be the place.

Just what we expected

Amy (mgr) and John (owner) were both great and answered any questions we had. Loved the history of the area and the location was perfect for us going back and forth from Jasper and Ponca, and to other sites in the area. House itself gave us plenty of room and was well stocked. Will definitely stay again.

This property is just beautiful. Great location. Beautiful scenery. Great location to get out and explore and short driving distance to area attractions. The owners are the sweetest people you will ever meet. We had our 2 year old with us. His favorite part about vacation was playing in the river at The Rock House. We will definitely visit again!
