This cabin is wonderful and the description didn’t do it justice. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! Bed was very comfy, a/c works great, so much outdoor fun and the host of this property was so nice.

Lovely experience

We rented this house for a bachelorette weekend, party of 5! It was the perfect spot to lounge around in the sun. It’s a very private location which was perfect for what we were looking for. The hostess was super sweet and helpful contacting me within the week of checkin to go over important pointers for our stay. She also checked in making sure the arrival went smoothly. The only thing that I’m glad we caught before we got there was that there is only a mini fridge but they provide a big cooler outside for backup. Town is a short drive away to stock up on ice so it worked out great. I love this property and all of us girls can’t wait to share it with our families for future trips!

This property is close to Fort Riley and a wonderful get-away for a couple or family. The cabin was very modern and well equipped. The owners thought of everything we could need. The bed was comfortable. Our kids loved the lake and used the kid kayaks a bunch. There were also a few floats, an adult Kayak, and a canoe. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone in the area.

Husband and I stayed for our anniversary getaway. Property was just as described totally remote and secluded! Took the boat out and caught several nice sized bass! Would definitely recommend to others and thinking about going back sometime!

This place is amazing!! Megan & Tim were some of the best hosts we have had, truly great people with attention to all the small details. The cabin is just so perfectly peaceful we spent a lot of time relaxing on the screened in porch watching the Blue Heron glide across the pond. We also picked up several bird songs (Indigo Buntings, Eastern Phoebe, Black-Capped Chickadee, Common Yellowthroat, & Tufted Titmouse) as well as wild turkeys. Really enjoyed seeing all the native flowers surrounding the cabin and, in the pasture, just made it a perfect place to be. We love to fish only caught a few Bluegill but it was so much fun to take the boat out with the trolling motor or kayak on the pond. Everything in the cabin is well kept, immaculately clean and the craftsmanship so unique. Kitchen has anything you need for meal prep, and we were very appreciative of the complimentary coffee, spices and ‘smores supplies! We were awestruck by this location, its beauty, and the peacefulness. An everlasting impression on our soul!

We had the best time. It was the perfect place to go off grid and just get away for a few days.

WOW!!!! ….This place is AWESOME!!! … that was my first thought when pulling up to the cabin! The setting is simply beautiful! We Loved the amazing craftsmanship of the cabin! I have not seen another place so well stocked. We had a wonderful time fishing and just relaxing and enjoying the view. Tim and Megan were very nice and very accommodating . Perfect! I we have been looking for a place like this cabin for awhile and so glad we were able to book a weekend and can’t wait to stay again! Full privacy no neighbors in sight except for the cows in the pasture. We had so much fun on the lake boating with the boat with the trolling motor, paddleboat, and swimming. The owners thought of everything and are so wonderful! We have stayed at many places before and never dealt with such wonderful people - they go out of there way to help! My 5yr old granddaughter summed it up perfectly: best day of her life 😁

We had a very relaxing stay. The place is very very private and quite. We stayed up late just amazed at all the stars and how peaceful. Just a awesome setting. We were a little let down about the fishing. No bass or channel cats. Lots of blue gills and sun fish. Was a awesome dock and the boat worked good.

My wife and I rented the cabin for the last weekend in July so we could get away and just enjoy the peace and privacy described on VRBO .We had temperature in the upper 90’s all week and the fishing was still phenomenal,2-4lb Bass were the standard.Swimming in the pond was refreshing while listening to the music on the outdoor speakers and enjoying many refreshments on the dock.Since it was so warm Tim and Megan also provided extra fuel for the generators to keep the ac running without issues.Modern enough that we didn’t miss anything from home,rustic enough that you could just sit back and appreciate the simple things in life. No freezers, so daily run to junction city for ice when it’s hot is to be expected, but if you read the description there are no surprises or disappointments .we will vacation here again

My wife and I spent a couple of days at the property. It was a great time relaxing by the campfire and out on the water. The cabin was very comfortable even with hot temperatures outside. The owners were very easy to work with and made the experience easy and enjoyable.

Tim and Megan have shared a great opportunity to get away in a cabin setting where there was plenty of room and extras. You could go off the grid for months here and never skip a beat. Including dish tv, new bathroom, screened porch, fishing gear, boat and plenty of bass to name a few. Very memorable. Do not let the fact that power is generated deter you. We had plenty, never lost power, quiet and comfortable. A must stay. We will be back.

We absolutely loved our stay in this cabin. Everything was wonderful. We embraced the isolation and quiet, the birds, the water, the fishing and having a modern kitchen to prepare our own meals. We slept so well!! The bed was extremely comfortable! The stairs are a bit like a ladder, but carefully navigated, no problem We truly hope to go back.

What a beautiful and secluded property! The cabin had everything we needed and more! The road to the cabin was well maintained and my husband enjoyed the opening and shutting of the pasture gates as it brought him back to his younger years! Our kids loved the trampoline, swings, and outdoor games as well as coloring and board games inside! We enjoyed spending time by the fire, sitting on the screened in porch, as well as some fishing at the pond. Thanks for a great stay!!

Could not have met two nicer people. They went out of there way to make are stay great. This place was beautiful quiet and very secluded. House was beautiful from the top to bottom loved fishing on the private pond. I will for sure be back

The cabin was just as described. It was very clean, quiet, comfortable, and well-furnished. The decor is perfectly suited for a cabin that is off the grid and was done well. The staircase is especially impressive. Tim and Megan greeted us shortly after we arrived, briefly showed us around, and answered our questions. We spent three days, mostly on the screened porch, enjoying the serenity. We hope to come back and enjoy it again.

We absolutely loved this place. Rustic beautiful cabin, very comfortable and perfectly clean. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful setting, private pond, loved the shaded dock. Nice canoe and fishing boat. We caught several nice bass. If you are looking for a very private retreat, this is the place for you. The owners were excellent to work with. The cabin is a ways back in a cow pasture, but we felt that added to the experience. The property runs on generator power, which worked very well. We added gas once a day and had no issues at all with the power. Absolutely loved the property and hope to come back.

Very Beautiful place and very quiet

If you are looking for the perfect getaway with a private pond, beautiful sunsets and loads of activities, this is the place! A hand-crafted, cabin nestled in a small valley on a four acre pond loaded with bass, this home away from home has it all. Megan and Tim are fantastic hosts who make sure that you have everything you need. We spent two weeks here fishing, grilling and entertaining with our adult children. The loft bed is super comfortable and even though the outside temperature broke 100 degrees we were cool inside with the two A/C systems. The cabin is truly off the grid but the solar power system and dual generators handled everything easily (the main generator will run up to 36 hours before refueling). We really enjoyed relaxing on the upstairs and downstairs decks. The pond has a large floating dock with a bar and stools and a picnic table. Tim has provided a cool fishing boat with a trolling motor and a canoe is also available. There is a great sound system outside for entertaining no matter where you are on the property. The satellite TV worked great and the cell phone booster in the house ensures a great connection. Games are provided including Frisbee golf, corn hole, croquet and there are indoor games as well. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. Yes, to get to the cabin you drive through a pasture on a dirt track. However it is not far and we never had problems even after heavy rains. Meeting the cows on the track at night adds to the fun of being in the country. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely return.

We loved this property! We had a blast hanging out by the pond, boating around, fishing, and enjoying the outdoor sound system. Tim and Megan were perfect hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They are an amazing couple and we loved getting to know them! It did rain while we were there and the road was not an issue. We were able to come and go with no problems. We 100% recommend staying here!

After arriving at this property, we decided not to stay and forfeited our three-night payment. We had come 750 miles to visit our daughter, grandson, and son-in-law who were at Fort Riley and due to ship to Korea in two weeks. Due to the covid lockdown, civilians were not allowed on Fort Riley, so I had told the owner our family planned to come out to the cabin during the day to visit us. We were not told until the day before check in that the access to the property was through a pasture. It had rained heavily before we arrived and accessing the property required walking through mud. We were not given a heads up about the mud. My husband had to walk through muddy ruts to open the gate to the pasture. He wiped his feet off in the grass as best he could before getting back in our mini-van. Once we cleared the gate, our van started slipping sideways in the mud. My husband didn’t want to stop in the mud, fearing he couldn’t get going again. He stopped in the grass and walked back through the mud to shut the gate. The trail down to the cabin had deep ruts in places. Other vehicles had driven on the grass in those parts, which we also did. We had planned to go in and out a few times during our stay. Our daughter and grandson also planned to come in and out every day and our son-in-law would come every evening after work. We had doubts that the access area would be passable after that much traffic. We also didn’t want all of us to have to walk through mud every time we went through the gate, so we decided to lose our money and to find other lodging at the last minute. The pasture was beautiful, but I believe it should have been in the property description that access to the property is through a pasture which can be muddy at times. Note: I couldn't submit a review without rating the property. I gave it all 4-5 stars even though I never went in.

Loved being able to go out on the boats, fish, sit on the porch and read, let the kids jump on the trampoline...great little getaway for our family of 4.
