Questo bellissimo cottage ispirato a Nantucket è immerso nella foresta marittima a pochi passi dalla spiaggia più famosa per il surf, East Beach. È anche una breve passeggiata (e anche più breve corsa in golf cart) per Shoals Club, The Commons Park, Bald Head Island Conservancy e chilometri di piste ciclabili, escursionistiche e pedonali.
I due portici e il patio alberato con aria salata fresca e i suoni della rilassante navigazione in lontananza offrono uno sfondo perfetto per leggere, bere un bicchiere di vino, cucinare, bere il caffè del mattino e rilassarsi con la famiglia. Il portico anteriore accede direttamente a una passerella completa di querce secolari, muschio spagnolo e un gazebo comunitario. Il ponte esterno è attrezzato con grill a gas e comodi posti a sedere. C'è anche un cottage indipendente in stile casa sull'albero sopra il garage, che offre una maggiore privacy con un letto queen-size, smart TV e bagno completo.

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at Gaga’s gift. We stayed with our family of 4 (two teens) and my parents. We loved the location and the property. It is close to Shoal’s, Mike’s Bites and East beach. The home was well appointed for cooking, which was great for us! We loved to spend time swinging on the back porch. It is also so helpful that there were two reliable carts, AND working bikes! We would totally stay again, and we are grateful that Catherine shared her home with us!

I was there with my "adopted family" as a present for "my Daughter" graduating from high school. It was a fantastic location (even though there were other houses close by) it felt like we were in the woods all by ourselves. The house felt like home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you can imagine for cooking meals. Never saw such a well stocked kitchen (and panty). Loved how the light switches were labeled. The entire property was well stocked with EVERYTHING we needed-all kinds of things in the garage to make our vacation as wonderful as possible. Catherine was such a gracious hostess-from the time I made reservations, then from the day we arrived until we arrived home. She was always just a text or phone call away if we had any questions or concerns. Having 2 golf carts was so handy. I cannot say "WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE" enough. There is no other place on the island that I had rather stay. This was my 2nd trip to BHI but the place we stayed before was not as wonderful, and the owner never would return calls when we had issues. THANK YOU Catherine for being you!!!!

We had a great time, and the property was clean and well-maintained. It provided bicycles and two great golf carts, and it was well-stocked with beach paraphernalia. We shared the house with our daughter and son-in-law and our two grandchildren. The house was perfect for our daughter and family, and the crofter was perfect for us. BHI and the property were the most relaxing beach experiences we've ever had. We highly recommend this property.

Very cozy house. Clear instructions. Loved the separate crofter. Kid friendly - our two yr old did great in the space. Only a couple minutes away from south beach. Great internet service everywhere on the property and smart TVs in every room. It is tightly packed next some adjacent properties back in the woods but we expected that. Would recommend highly!

We had a wonderful week here! From the initial booking, Catherine the Host kept us on track for our Bald Head vacation by affirming that we had our ferry/tram tickets ordered to answering questions that popped up before our arrival. This place was perfect for us (myself, my husband our son, his wife and their 1 year old daughter). My husband and I stayed in the crofter and slept like babies. It’s completely separate from the house, but only a few steps away. The separation made it so nice because baby girl woke up earlier than we did, but any noise in the main house didn’t wake us up at all. Highly recommend the separate sleeping options that this place provides.
It was truly a home away from home place to stay and had everything we needed and I can’t think of anything it didn’t have. Our son left his fishing rod in the garage by mistake, so I guess we’ll just need to schedule another trip back to retrieve it. As if we need an excuse 😜.

Catherine’s home was the perfect spot for a family vacation with 2 toddlers. Close enough to the most beautiful beach on the island to run back when we forgot something, or to take the bikes instead of a golf cart. Located in the thick jungle-like maritime forest, offering shade and peace in between beach trips. The back entrance of the house leads out onto a maze of boardwalk paths through the forest.
Everything in the house worked as described, and Catherine generously arranged (and paid for) extra rental bikes for us when hers went missing. The house is well-equipped with games, beach toys, boogie boards, etc…
We did not end up using the crofter, but fit 2 families of 3 comfortably in the main house.
The turtle conservancy headquarters is around the corner- there is a sandwich and Italian ice window there. The shoals club down the street offers several dining options, 2 pools, and beach umbrella/chair service.
Catherine was very responsive and helpful with the reservation and any issues that came up during our visit.
Highly recommend - hope to be back in paradise soon!

This cottage was perfect for us! Cozy and quiet, but near enough to the beaches and club that it didn't feel remote. Everything was as described. I especially loved the daybed swing on the porch!

Clean, has everything we needed, appreciated the 2 golf carts so we could be flexible, great location, the boardwalk yard wasn’t as good for our toddler, having a bit of yard would have been nice. Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed using all the cooking supplies great location near the beach but close to the Turtle Conservancy and not far from the Market. We made use of the beach tours and the bikes. Catherine was VERY good at communication before and during our stay. Loved it!

Great house. Quiet. Comfortable. Lots of beach toys and bicycles. Carts were in good shape (an issue renting other places on BHI). Highly recommend it.

The minute we opened the door to “GaGa’s Gift” we loved how warm and cozy it felt. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you need; the living room is very comfortable for curling up with a good book, BUT the best spot is the porch day bed! We spent hours with coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. You’ll think you’re in a secluded forest with all the birds and squirrels!
The main bedroom had quite literally one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept on!
Again, Catherine, our host, thought of everything to make staying in her home most enjoyable! We would highly recommend booking this property and look forward to staying again!

We loved our experience staying at Catherine’s home on Bald Head Island!
The space worked out perfectly for my husband, our 2 year old son, and my in-laws. The kitchen had everything we needed and the two screened in porches were especially awesome.
We enjoyed the location and easy access to the beach. Plus, the ability to explore the island using the golf carts and bikes.
Catherine was excellent at communication throughout our stay and made sure we had everything we needed.
I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a great place to relax on Bald Head Island.

We loved the location of this home, easy bike and/or cart ride to east beach, resort and the Turtle Conservatory. By the way had the best snacks! This home had everything we needed to make meals. The two screened in porches we spent a lot of time in. The property is the midst of trees and plants giving us shade and views of wildlife and singing birds. We had lots of fun exploring the island by golf carts and watching sunrises and sunsets from different beaches. Catherine and Brian were so helpful, friendly to us. It made our stay FANTASTIC

This is a very nice house in a great location. It is tucked into a woodsy part of the island where you can walk, run, or bicycle in the shade at any time of the day. It is a quick golf cart ride to several spots on the beach. There are chairs, umbrellas, and toys available to take with you, and if you're luck, you may find a sea turtle nest ready to hatch. Once you are ready to come back home, there is a raised wooden walk leading through the wooded property with a nice seating area and an outdoor shower below the private garage bedroom and bath. Inside the main house is a nice kitchen/dining area with plenty of equipment for cooking and preparing drinks. The living room is perfect for gathering with your party for conversation, playing games or streaming movies on the large TV. There are also 2 screened porches if you'd rather be outside. The other two bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs along with the laundry area. We really enjoyed our time here. It was perfect for our family.

Our family has been going to BHI for 20 years and GaGa’s gift is by far one of our favorites! Beautiful home away from home nestled in the trees and great location! House had everything one would need to make their stay comfortable and relaxing! Fully stocked, very clean and comfortable and great location! A Gift to Everyone
Gaga’s Gift was the perfect place for our family,! It was clean and bright, with a thoughtfully stocked kitchen and pantry. Being in Surfman’s Walk gave us easy access to East Beach and the Shoals Club, and was still close enough to the shopping to pop out and grab anything we needed. You will love Gaga’s Gift!

Great time at BHI
We had a very nice time staying at Catherine’s place on BHI. The location near East beach is great which has the best branch area and water. The house is comfortable and has a third bedroom above the garage. The kitchen is well equipped, beds comfortable, and has Wi-Fi and cable. Outside you have 2 golf carts, 5 bikes including an electric tire pump, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. We also used the gas grill to cook some Impossible. burgers. Catherine is also very responsive if you have any questions or needs. In summary, Ga GA’s gift is a great place to stay to enjoy beautiful Bald Head Island.

She has thought of everything you could possibly need during your stay...bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, and even phone chargers! The house is in great shape and the kitchen is very well stocked. It's a very easy and beautiful walk to East Beach (best beach on the island)...or of course, you could bike or drive one of the golf carts. The proximity of the property to the beach makes it very convenient to return for lunch, etc. We will definitely be returning to Catherine's place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, stress-free vacation on Bald Head Island.

We have stayed at "Our Happy Place" twice now, and both times were absolutely perfect. Catherine is a wonderful host and is so attentive and responsive to her guests. She has thought of everything you could possibly need during your stay...bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, and even phone chargers! The house is in great shape and the kitchen is very well stocked. It's a very easy and beautiful walk to East Beach (best beach on the island)...or of course, you could bike or drive one of the golf carts. The proximity of the property to the beach makes it very convenient to return for lunch, etc. We will definitely be returning to Catherine's place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, stress-free vacation on Bald Head Island.

Wonderful vacation...perfect hosts!
We stayed at Catherine and Brian's place in November and it was absolutely amazing! The property is very well cared for and the kitchen is well stocked. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and had everything we needed, including an "easy to clean" roasting pan! The beds were very comfortable and the sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep each night. The location is great...just a five minute walk to East Beach. The golf carts were in good condition and even had weather enclosures, which were great for chilly weather. Our hosts were very accessible and responsive. Catherine provided helpful information regarding the house, as well as island events during our stay. I would highly recommend "Our Happy Place" and we will definitely return.

A Wonderful Place to Relax!
This was our first visit to Bald Head Island and this home was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The location is close to the beach and convenient to mid-island services. The home was very comfortable and clean, providing everything that we needed. It is nestled in a wooded area and very peaceful.
Catherine was very kind and quick to answer any questions as well as to provide helpful information and recommendations of things to do on the island. Catherine was a wonderful host and it is evident that she wants her guests to be comfortable. We would have no hesitation to rent this home again. Ga Ga's Gift is very special! Thank you for sharing it with us!

Both the home and the owner, Catherine, were fantastic. The home was conveniently located to our favorite beach on the island (East) and the service, recommendations, and courtesy was second to none from Catherine. Great house for family beach trip
We stayed at Catherine’s house 8/21-8/28. The house is well appointed with all the beach gear you will need (chairs, towels, umbrella). Kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans, knives, glass casserole dishes, a few cookie sheets, a good blender. You can show up unprepared and the house will have what you need. Two golf carts for that size house is a major perk. Catherine is very responsive and helpful.

Nice place close to East Beach
My family of 5 stayed here for a week. The house is nestled in a wooded area and is very comfortable and cozy. It’s a short cart ride or bike ride to the beach. We would definitely recommend!
