Fantastic location. We were lucky to have room 114 which is absolute waterfront!!
The staff were super friendly and helpful especially Gayle who went beyond and even lent us her binoculars overnight so we could whale watch. ❤️
Only minor complaint that shared bathroom but we didn’t really mind.

Great location. A short (but steep) hill walk to either the beach, the ocean pool or cafes/restaurants. Stunning views from Signature Rooms with balcony. Ensuited and newly refurbished. Bed was extremely comfortable and the noise was minimal considering it is above a pub. Great night sleep.
Our room was close to the shared toilets and the view slightly obsured by the corner wall. But these were only minor issues.

The location was stunning, overlooking the ocean and surf. The staff were really very friendly and helpful. My friend lost his room key and this was replaced without any fuss (I was expecting to be charged, but no). My newly renovated room was very comfortable
I would have liked off-street parking. This is a hotel and one must expect some noise, but this was not a problem as the bar area was a long way from my room.

Beautiful renovation. Ocean view is amazing. Stayed here a few times, this is the first in the renovated rooms. Will definitely be staying here again!

Amazing view from the bedroom and balcony. Even a view from the bathroom! The bedroom was a decent size for a short trip and the bed was very comfortable.
The room we were in was next to the laundry room, so could be a bit noisy. The shower was also very small and the drainage wasn’t great.

The rooms are beautifully newly renovated. Really nice. view’s spectacular. Food in restaurant very good.

the rooms and facilities haven’t been updated in 20 years. no power board or outlet next to the bed, light switch was in the middle of room so has to walk in complete darkness when entering your room at night, no air conditioning in Northern NSW in 2023 is ridiculous, TV was smaller than my laptop, portable fan was purchased in 1999

Location alone makes this a terrific stop-over. I stayed in the Bunk Rooms. Nice hand basin in the room; shared bathroom down the hallway. Very clean - even a bath tub!! Was lovely to open our door onto the covered balcony area and witness a beautiful morning looking out to sea.
Only downside was the long wait for our dinner in the pub. It was worth the wait tho and delicious.

Literally the worst ‘hotel’ I’ve ever stayed at.
Dirty, uncomfortable, noisy, and literally above a club with music pumping until 1am. Also very overpriced, paid about $100 for a place that was so bad we were seriously considering just sleeping in our car instead.
