We want to take this opportunity to relate that our experience at the Hayward cabin did not meet expectations. Upon arrival we found multiple issues. I called the number included with the check-in information and it went to voice mail of a company, not Linda as expected. I did not leave a message. I called Evole and was connected quickly. Jennifer listened to my issues and said she would contact the owner. The owner’s son called me after a few minutes. He said he would send someone right over. A follow up text indicated “the landlord and both neighbors are not at home at this time.” They knew of our arrival but were unprepared to assist us at that time. A carpenter gentleman showed up some time later and was able to solve one issue but no others. Linda the owner did call later but was not very interested in solving issues, only providing excuses. Linda’s husband did call and was helpful n getting the tv operational as there were no written instructions. Here is a summary of issues we encountered. -Upon entering the cabin (Thursday, August 3rd) the smell of mold and mildew was very strong. The lack of air conditioning and the high humidity weather no doubt contributed to mold/mildew growth. - We were forced to clean the dirty interior of the refrigerator before stowing our food. - The stove top, back plate, oven door, and, especially, the broiler pan were greasy and dirty. Again, our cleaning was warranted (we did not clean the broiler pan as we didn't have the appropriate cleaning tools or cleansers). -The gas grill was out of fuel and the burners were very rusty and the grille top also rusted. - The bathroom/utility area is TINY, not adequate for our expected family reunion of six. There is no tub for the one-year-old child and the floor of the shower is deeply stained. The toilet water was deep yellow, even after several flushes. Upon arrival, we found the right door of the TINY vanity was broken.

Near a lake.

The photo showed right on Lake. It was not. Plus stairs almost killed me. TV did not work well. Final straw no hot water. Waited for repair but neighbor not able to fix. They were calling repair guy. Also screen door did not close all the way. They refunded for 2 of 3 days.

Great location for the fishermen in the family. Boat launch jsut steps away from the cabin. Cabin was comfortable and clean. Power was available outside to charge boat batteries up.

TV did not work, no satellite signal. Don't expect good cell coverage at this location. I have bad knees, so the many steps ups to the cabin made it a bit of a challenge-take this into consideration if you have physical limitations.
