All 9 of us adults agree that Esther's Promise Tree Home was the PERFECT spot for our family (3 generations) of 14 to gather. Each family had their "own space"which was a game changer. There are plenty of places to gather as a large group- the dining lanai, outdoor living room, pool & fire pit. Esther lives right next door and is a wonderful hostess- full of beach recommendations, restaurants ideas etc. Kona is not far nor is Costco if you are feeding a crowd. We all have wonderful memories of our week spent here. It is LOVELY. GO!!

There were 14 of us and we had plenty of room. The house was perfect, For our liking. The host was wonderful and the place came well stocked and the highly recommended it. 10 to 15 minutes away from everything you need. Shopping grocery gas souvenir stores restaurant,all That you would ever need.

Our stay at this beautiful home in Hawaii was absolutely unforgettable. The property offers breathtaking views that make every moment feel like a postcard come to life. One of the highlights was the outdoor movie setup, complete with a bar and pool, which provided endless entertainment and relaxation for our group.
Each family in our group appreciated the individual cottages, allowing everyone to enjoy their own space while still being together. This thoughtful arrangement made our stay even more enjoyable and comfortable.
The hosts were truly wonderful, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Despite living next door, they respected our privacy completely, making us feel like we had the entire property to ourselves.
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Hawaii. The combination of stunning views, luxurious amenities, and exceptional hospitality made this an experience we'll cherish forever. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect Hawaiian getaway!

The open air design of this estate was very cool and felt like a genuine Hawaiian experience! I was a little skeptical of no AC, but the elevation supported cool and breezy evenings and good sleeping weather! The outdoor living room and dining area made for a great gathering place for our family. We loved being a bit out of town while only being a short drive to shopping and restaurants. The pool and yard are beautiful and well kept!!

I feel deeply grateful for being called to visit the Promise Tree House in Kona, Hawaii, to bring healing to myself and my family. This property, lovingly stewarded by a family for generations, has been a true blessing. Our experience was nothing short of beautiful.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. Working with the property manager was a delight, marked by excellent communication and thoughtful guidance. The house was impeccably prepared with everything we needed—chairs, towels, even sun hats were provided.
We were guided to the best beaches and felt enveloped in the natural beauty and healing energy of the land. Sleeping surrounded by the sounds of frogs and birds felt like a deep immersion in nature. My children loved swimming in the pool and playing tag and hide and seek in the expansive open land.
This experience has truly brought our family closer together. It’s the perfect place to relax, slow down, be intentional, and reconnect with loved ones. I highly, highly recommend the Promise Tree House for anyone seeking a meaningful and rejuvenating vacation. Mahalo

The view is stunning. The layout of the property was perfect for each couple to have private space with a great outdoor common area for hanging out by the pool and eating meals.

Our 3 adult kids came with their family (4 grands and one on the way. ) Plenty of room for us all especially when breaks were needed for anything. Close to beaches,shops and more. Perfect spot for us all. Even helicopter tours not far and very exciting.

Our family loved our stay at the ‘Promise Tree’. The grounds were beautiful. The kids loved exploring. The buildings had character and were very comfortable and clean. Esther and Josh were amazing hosts and we had a wonderful family vacation with 13 of us at their beautiful Kona home. We had everything we needed for our week long stay and wish we could have stayed much longer. The property is even more beautiful than the photos and was perfect for the kids and adults, everyone had their own space when needed and the outdoor BBQ area was amazing for family dinners. We hope to be back one day and would recommend to anyone!

We traveled with our family including 7 adults and 6 grandchildren. The house was absolutely breath taking. It was so nice how each living space had it's own external entrance to have your privacy, while also being able to be together in the outside common area.
Just as amazing as the house, was the property manager, Esther - she was perfect! She met us at the house for a tour and to answer any questions we had. She was super accommodating and friendly.
I would highly recommend this house for any family or friends vacation. We had the best time without any issues or concerns.

We were here with extended family for a 10 day getaway. It was a dream! Esther was so easy to work with. Lots of space to spread out and have our own space, but also spend lots of family time together around the pool, by the firepit or in the outdoor living area. I would highly recommend this property and would go back in a heartbeat if visiting the island! Thank you for an amazing stay!

We had an incredible time at the Promise Tree for a holiday vacation with extended family. Plenty of space for a large group and it was so nice that the common area was all outside. Close to all the action in Kona. Definitely would stay here again!

The place was large and beautiful with plenty of separate rooms to accommodate our group of 10. The pictures cannot capture how open and spread out it truly is. The view of the ocean, fruit trees, grills, pool and fire pit were great amenities. Esther was welcoming and helpful answering my husband’s many questions 🙂. If it weren’t so difficult to get to Hawaii, I’d say we’ll be back every year and want to keep this one a secret. It was perfect; we had everything we needed.

Great place. Great neighborhood. Great views. Technically, there was an outdoor kitchen, but i got the impression from the website they were all built ins. The bbq was portable, the griddle was portable, the stove top was aportable unit you had to pull out of the cabinet and we never got to work, and the refrigerator was in the carport. I was expecting all to be built in. But it worked nicely and the ample seating and tables were great, as was the pool!

We had all our kids 15-21 (9 of them in total), parents and friends 14 in total. We all had plenty of room and great spaces to be together as well! Property manager/owners are very quick to respond to any questions we had. No question we will be back!! Mahalo

We had younger kids all the way up to grandparents. Everyone enjoyed the stay, kids had lots to do. The outdoor space is great for connecting with the family over cards or Football games, Movies etc. Esther was helpful in providing a couple of small things we had a special need for. Rooms could be a little warm for sleeping at night, otherwise very happy with our stay.

the promise tree was amazing. there were 10 adults and 4 children in our group. it was the perfect blend of all being able to hang out together, but also have our own space when the day was over. having our own pool was the best. there were a couple days when we never left the property. the view was stunning, the sunsets beautiful. close to town, but we felt so secluded. esther, the host, was always quick to respond to any questions. my whole family said this was the best place they had ever stayed, and i agree

We reserved The Promise Tree as a surprise birthday family vacation. We were a group of 10, ranging from 10 to 80yrs. The property is PERFECT for multi families with room to spread out and also fully enjoy all it has to offer. It was an amazing week in this stunning property with every amenity one can imagine. Esther, the property manager, was perfect, prompt and so very helpful. Thank you for helping us create such special memories!

The Promise Tree was absolutely magical and the perfect place for our inaugural family trip! Walking in we were greeted by the fragrance of blooming gardenias and the pictures just cannot capture how breathtaking this property is. The estate is HUGE and we all could not get enough of taking in the beauty of the grounds that were like a park with sunset and ocean views. With amenities galore, bathrooms for all and comfortable beds it was the perfect balance of communal space and privacy. Our two 7 year olds loved the pool, as well as the grown kids! Esther was delightful and it was easy check in, there were no issues with anything all week. We enjoyed 2 wonderful evenings at the fire pit having s'mores and laughing and have priceless memories of our family from this trip. The Promise Tree feels like a family loves the space. Thank you so much, we can't wait to come back!

Booked this property for my family to all stay together for a wedding in Kona. The property is a perfect space for everyone to have their own privacy areas and then have gatherings in the large open common areas and pool. Very short drive to airport/Kona. Property had everything we needed and more. Owners respond immediately to any questions or issues you need help with. If you are looking for a very authentic Hawaii experience for your large family to stay together while also having your own space I highly recommend staying here!

Our family which included 6 grandchildren all over 16 stayed at this beautiful property. We loved the way we could all have our own areas and yet enjoy getting together for meals and conversations. The covered outdoor area was wonderful and furnished just perfectly with all the necessary amenities. The pool was a hit with all the grandkids after a day of activities. This was by far the most amazing place that I have ever stayed at! Esther was the best host and her home is unbelievable. I stayed on the property for a week with my family and I had the most amazing small wedding on the property. I highly recommend staying at this place and will for sure be coming back to stay here in the future!

This facility was such an excellent fit for our multi-generational family. Everyone was able to have their own space when they did not want to be in the huge outdoor living area. The pool was continually in use, especially by the younger children. Great outdoor cooking facilities. I would highly recommend this home for any large group! What a fantastic vacation spot. The home and entire property were well maintained. We had a party of 14 (10 adults, 4 children) ranging from the ages of 70 years old to 6 years old. There were many amenities that were helpful for our stay such as laundry products, cleaning supplies, beach umbrellas, coolers, etc. What wasn’t pictured was the fire pit, that was nice for the kids to do s’mores. Lastly and most importantly, the owners were responsive and helpful. They even were kind enough to get a crockpot for my family to use. Overall, great experience to add to our family memories.

First and foremost, the pictures simply don’t do justice to this amazing paradise! The entire place is is just gorgeous from the grounds to bungalows to the pool.
We were a group of 10 ranging in age from 43 to 67. There was more than enough room for everyone to have to their own space and not feel like you were on top of one another. The kitchen (both indoor and out) were very well stocked with everything you could ever need to prepare meals, which we did did daily. Plenty of towels, coolers etc for adventures. The pool was absolutely fabulous! The temperature was always perfect and there were lots of fun floaty things.
Josh and Esther were fabulous! All communications from booking to arrival to Esther checking in to make sure everything was going well, was easy. Esther even had a beautiful birthday bouquet waiting on arrival. We had to contact Esther for 1 small problem which was checked on immediately.
All in all it was nothing less than perfect and the whole group would go back in a second!!

Promise Tree was a wonderful property for our family get away. We were 4 families, 2 with infants, 1 family with kids under 9 and we needed spaces to accommodate the little ones. We found the description online didn’t describe the room set up as accurately as we thought and once we sorted all that out with the use of the extra cottage it worked out perfectly for us! We rarely used the kitchen to eat because the lanai is absolutely beautiful and very functional. We never sat inside even when it was raining out. The bbq and flat top grill were very well used and very functional. The pool was a highlight for the kids young and old and there was quite an assortment of pool toys available for our use. We really appreciated having the use of baby equipment: booster seat, play pen, beach tent etc and having a variety of beach items available: chairs, mats, toys, towels! If we ever head back this way with the family we would absolutely look at this property again, it’s perfect for a family get away!

The Promise Tree was absolutely perfect for our group of 14 (8 adults and 6 kids, ages 7 and under). The kids loved the pool and the outdoor space was beautiful for all of us to hang out. Amazing Promise Tree! We loved this beautiful property! It accommodated our family of 16 , ages from 18 mos to 73 years old perfectly. We did rent the extra cottage to accomodate all. The pool was fantastic for the kids and is located so we could keep an eye on them easily. Plenty of lawn space for kids to play. We really didn't use all of it; just enjoyed all the green. Each party had their own entrance and own bathroom. It really afforded some privacy for each of us. Nice views of the ocean too. Owner, Esther, was very accommodating and addressed any questions or needs that we had. Overall, a very special place. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Lovely Promise Tree, lovely Hawaii!

This property was amazing, and the property manager was beyond helpful. We had the best time staying here. It made the event all the more special. Everyone had their own space but we could all be together. Highly recommended!
