The cabin had everything we needed. Sitting out on the deck, looking at the lighthouse and boats was so relaxing. The view of the bridge was gorgeous as well. Thank you!!

We’ve stayed twice and will hopefully be able to enjoy it as long as our son is a student at RWU! Great place, super clean an absolutely perfect location to visit RWU!

The location is beautiful and tranquil. The view from the livingroom and deck is surpassed only by the view from the Adirondack chairs in the back yard. Constructive comments from previous reviews on this cottage have all been addressed exactly as the owner's response implies. This indicates a host who is working to make a welcoming environment and it shows. The home is well stocked for cooking, though there are plenty of restaurants within a reasonable drive. There is a generous library with a wide variety of reference material to peruse. The king bed was very comfortable. The bay windows have indeed had screens added and the bathroom is updated and very clean. A previous review mentioned some stains on the carpeting, but the size and quantity were not sloppy or off-putting but instead indicate general use. One item of note, the bedroom was a little stuffy. The windows were hard to open, so we didn't and instead just used the AC on the fan setting and it was fine. Directions for entry and cleanup were clear and not laborious. This was a great trip and the hosts attention to detail made that possible.

Quaint cottage that is well equipped and with the most comfortable King size bed! Wonderful location right on the bay, peaceful & private. Convenient to Newport, Portsmouth, Bristol and the coastal towns. We had a wonderful stay.

I love the cottage. This is our second year staying while attending the Newport Folk Festival. It is the perfect place to relax after the long days at the festival and to share our favorite artist and encounters there. We hope to be back next year.

The house is adorable, the views are phenomenal, and the host is extremely responsive and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to spend a perfect weekend!

My husband and 7 month old daughter reallt enjoyed our little get away here. The house was nice and clean, and the sceneray in the backyard is absolutely beautiful! We can’t wait to come back in the future.

We loved this cottage! If you are looking for a small, quiet, private place to get away, this is the one. Best points: - Amazing views, sun set right over an almost 180 degree view of the water, boats and birds, a lighthouse and the Mount Hope Bridge. - Walk right out to the water from the stairs. - Everything you need is in the cottage, and major shopping areas are only a few minutes drive if necessary. Newport 30 min, Providence 40 min. - Seriously comfortable king bed. There is also a twin out in a separate room that overlooks the bay. - Air conditioners in both the living room and the bedroom worked very well, we were not hot at all. - Water pressure in the bathroom shower was great, there were plenty of clean towels. There are only two things I would change about the trip: 1. The road to access the cottage is an old beach access road. Gavin did warn us that that it's pretty bumpy before we got there, but man was I not prepared! An SUV is definitely recommended, a smaller car will bottom out in the giant holes in the road. At 8 months pregnant, it was a very uncomfortable road. This isn't completely on the owner though, it is a shared road, but that would be the first thing I would try to fix! 2. The windows in the living room do NOT have screens. We wanted to open the windows to hear the sounds of the bay but then the bugs were getting in so unfortunately we had to close them. Overall, we would go back!

Great cottage minutes from campus! Spotless and very comfortable!! This will be our go to spot for the next four years!!!

It was an amazing stay !! The cottage was perfect and the views were spectacular. It was quiet and secluded and everyday there was a treasure. We wish we didn’t need to leave but certainly would return at the next opportunity. Thanks !!!

My girlfriend and i enjoyed our stay at your cottage, it was clean and comfortable with all amenities at hand. Crabbing and clamming was fun as well. Gorgeous views of the bay and awesome sunsets were very special. Looking forward to returning next year!

We loved our stay at the cottage. Everything was as described. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and cozy. A lovely place to unwind after the long, hot, and magical Newport Folk Festival . Hope to return to the festival and the cottage next year!

We rented this darling cottage for our daughter and her 4 children. The location is just idyllic. The children love crabbing on the beach. We dug for clams as well and enjoyed eating steamers. The cottage is steps from the Bay and everyone enjoyed a daily swim. The view of the lighthouse and bridge is one of the best in all of RI. We’ll be back!

The house is a bit dated inside, but in a charming way. The location could not be better. Very quiet, right on the water, facing the sunset.

Very nice and clean. Great water view and very quiet neighborhood. Off the beaten path. Felt like a throw back to another time. May not be the place to stay when it’s really cold out because couldn’t get the heat to work very well. But it was for the most part very comfortable.

This was the perfect spot to come and go from and an even better spot to start and end the day at. The views were great. We are looking forward to staying there again.

Perfect vacation!

What a cozy and sweet waterfront cottage! We originally chose this property because our daughter was graduating from Roger Williams University and it was the perfect location for that event. We are so glad about our choice. Everything was perfect and the location is beautiful! The property was clean and the neighborhood was very quiet. We stayed for two nights. On Saturday we had originally planned on heading to the beach but decided to just hang out on the deck and take a dip in the water. It couldn't have been a more perfect day! We will definitely be looking at booking again! Gavin, the owner was wonderful to work with and responded to my questions quickly. He even left us some complimentary chilled beverages to enjoy which were wonderful after a long day at graduation. That was the perfect touch! Becca

House has a great view. Has a retro cottage vibe with wood paneling. Can sleep 4 comfortably.

Situated right on a beautiful ocean bay, you can watch magnificent sunsets right from the deck or small lawn area bordering the water. The neighborhood is lovely and we very much enjoyed crossing the bridge to Bristol for dinner (10 min.), especially liked the Bristol Oyster bar. The owners were helpful and responsive. The bed/bedding were comfortable and the bathroom is new. There was plenty of space but the house itself is drab and dreary, in spite of the glorious water views. The windows couldn’t be opened and the air felt stale (there were window ac units but it wasn’t hot). There was a lot of carpeting that was stained…or indoor/outdoor type. With some work, I’m sure this house will be a stunner.

This little cottage was amazing it had everything we could possibly need for a short visit in a magnificent area with lots to do lots to see The view from the cottage was amazing with magnificent sunsets and Peaceful calm water views from the outdoor deck where we enjoyed our meals with tranquility and beauty. Our hosts were very responsive and supplied us with all the amenities needed. We would hope to come again soon.

Unfortunately the master bed is two twins put together.. The views are beautiful!

We could not have been more pleased with our first stay at this wonderful cottage! During our stay we visited Newport, Narragansett (wonderful beach and nightlife), little Compton, Bristol…and then we got to come home to this quiet oasis and enjoy gorgeous sunsets! Even at night the views are lovely with the bridge lit up in the distance. There are many wonderful restaurants in the area but we often chose to bring our food home and enjoy the best views around! Brianna was an excellent host- she was always available for any needs or questions and provided everything we needed and more! We hope to vacation there again!

This hidden gem right on the water was even better than we had expected! Briana and Gavin were great hosts and very communicative in the time leading up to our booking. The bathroom was well stocked with any cosmetics you may have missed in your packing and the place feels even more spacious than it appears in the pictures. Cannot say enough great things about the location. Settled directly on the water, we most often found ourselves hanging out on the back porch for coffee at sunrise, sunbathing in the yard, and taking in the good weather and beautiful views. We will definitely be back!
