This is the second year weve vacationed at this location. The house is newly reconstructed and served our purposes well. Just a very short walk to the ramp leading to the beach, be aware that when the tide rolls in, the beach is reduced to a small corner of sand where, in season, youll be competing with others for prime location. Most seem to make do, however.. And when the tide is not quite high, enough of the beach opens up to provide ample access to most who desire it. The location of the property is great with easy access to restaurants, shopping, etc. Overall, a great time was had. Criticisms: The floors were swept but not washed, and were so dirty the bottoms of our feet turned black in short order; The knives in the kitchen were so dull you could barely cut fruit with them; the light over the right side of the master bed as youre looking at it is shorted out; and paper supplies were lacking when we arrived.

The location was excellent easy walk back and forth to beach. The house was beautiful, I wish the outdoor furniture was in better shape. A bigger TV would have been great and also having one in the master bed room would be great. Maybe replace the wicker furniture inside with a real sofa or couch. Overall we had a great time and would rent again.

Overall the experience was great. Nice house, great location. The property was somewhat dirty upon arrival -- dirty upstairs shower, food/crumbs in couch. Otherwise, it was fine. I do think the owners should consider different furniture options in the living area -- need more comfortable seating for more people. Would also invest in a larger TV, a gas grill and would enclose the outdoor shower.

This is our 5th year coming to Brewster and our 2nd at Pinecone 2. This a week we always look forward to as a family. The kids enjoy the beach and the house feels like our home-away-from-home. The home is clean and spacious. One item of feedback would be that the patio furniture is not up to par with the house and the main room television could surely be larger with the small one moved to the master

Unfortunately we followed guests that had a dog which left dog hair all over the couch and on a bed and pillow upstairs. The cleaning staff returned and very cheerfully cleaned the couch. Later we discovered the upstairs floors needed cleaning as we had black feet and socks from walking on it and I hesitated to call the cleaners again.There is only one chipped wine glass and one coffee mug and we could have used more of both. This is our second year but with the pet friendly policy we cannot return.

I have been delaying responding to the survey in the hopes of receiving a response from the rental agency regarding our stay Sept 15-22 at 217 Winslow Landing. The property information book stated that the fireplace was not to be used, it needed repair and was not safe. The fireplace frame was ajar and a power cord was unplugged in front of it. When we contacted the rental agency they spoke to the property owner and tried to contact the property manager(who was out of town). The fireplace was not made functional. I spoke to Dawn(in person) regarding the situation. She assured me she would speak to the owner further and follow up. A week later I sent Dawn an e-mail requesting follow up. There has been no further contact. I would not recommend this agency and would strongly dissuade renting this property. The location was lovely but does not offset non working advertised features plus numerous smaller annoyances, e.g. a shower stall that required repair (and the repair was done with duct tape- adequate, but not ideal), front windows that were unlock-able,skillets in no condition for use, one burner on the stove was unusable. Thank you for any attention you give to my survey responses.

We had a great time staying at this house. Great location only a short distance to the beach. House is beautiful with lots of space for the whole family to spread out and enjoy. Perfect location close to town to eat, shop & get ice cream for the kids! Areas to improve would be to enclose the outdoor shower, purchase a gas grill, a hose outside to wash feet/toys, recycling bin and new sets of outdoor furniture. Overall a great time.

We had a fantastic time at this beautiful, new house just a few steps from the beach (one House away). The house is beautifully designed with a great kitchen and open floor plans. It is cheery and nicely decorated. It is a quiet oasis in a private neighborhood. Couldn't have been more relaxed.

The place was fantastic with all my family of 7 needed for a great time. The home smells and looks new and was clean when we arrived. Everyone in my family was impressed. My 2yr old loved the lobster and octopus (nice touch). The location was fantastic - very close to the beach. We would definitely stay there again. There were a few things we'd like to see corrected that would have made our stay even better. The keys were difficult to use in the locks. It took us about 20 min to get into the house and we never locked it in fear we wouldn't get back in. There were some mouse droppings in the master bedroom and we couldn't get the fireplace working. I would also bring your own TP.

Amazing, would love to own house like this one day. Great location. Close enough to bay to go home for drinks and bathrooms. The house was clean and updated. Only negative is that the outdoor furniture could have been nicer and we wish they had a gas grill instead of charcoal.

It was the perfect home for a family getaway including uncles and grandparents. The cleanliness, the layout of the house and the location were great. Everything we needed was there. Certainly a memorable vacation.My only recommendation would be to care better of the outside and provide more seating options to be able to enjoy the yard as well as the inside of the house. It would be nice to have a king size bed in the master bedroom and maybe a queen upstairs instead of full size beds but other than that everything was perfect and we would book this home again.

Pine Cone 2 is a beautiful home with lots of space, a gorgeous kitchen, air conditioning, two and a half very clean (well appointed) bathrooms, and a two minute walk to the beach. You can also walk to JTs for ice cream or Ardeo for dinner. Our family has been coming to Brewster for the past 30 years and always stayed at Ocean Edge. But this summer we wanted a house with more space. We were not disappointed. We had a wonderful time, perfect weather and made some beautiful memories.One small suggestion to make things absolutely perfect - more comfortable outdoor furniture and the same for the family room would be much appreciated.

The house was in excellent condition and in a perfect location. We were two families (with kids) vacationing together and we couldn't have asked for more. The bay side is perfect for younger kids and with the house being so close to the beach, getting back and forth multiple times a day was so easy. We can't wait to return next year!

Hi - First of all - We had an enjoyable, successful vacation. The issues: 1. The porch was not clean - there were cobwebs and dust. 2. ahem...The owners should be told that they need to replace their deck furniture - it is salt encrusted ancient stuff. The divan is old and uncomfortable. Also - the twin mattresses are hard as a rock. They need to be replaced. Until these issues are dealt with I would not recommend the cottage.

House has a terrific location near the beach and near to food and shopping. With 3 adults, 2 children, and a dog, it managed to fulfill all our basic requirements. Added this year were some inflatables for the beach which we really enjoyed Not perfect though.. Outdoor furniture is a mess, loaded with bird poop, and weathered beyond all usability. Floors are always filthy here; bottoms of feet turn black after about 10 minutes. Lamp in master bedroom has been dangling off its fixture for 3 years now with no repair. Towel racks upstairs coming out of the wall. Living room furniture is uncomfortable and cushions on white couch are dirty and stained. And, some new beach chairs would be much appreciated. But even so, overall experience was excellent and we'll be back for a fourth stay.

What a great vacation home for families with little ones. We chose Pinecone Too for our family vacation. We invited our children and their spouses and their children, ages 2 1/2 and 10 months. The house was very roomy, with large open spaces on both the first and second floors. Each family had their own large bedroom. The beach was a five minute walk from the house, which was so convenient, as the toddlers were back and forth often due to naps, snacks and meltdowns. The house was very well stocked with plates, silverware, cooking equipment and upgraded appliances. We loved the yard, gas grill and outdoor shower.

We were extremely happy with our stay at 217 Winslow Landing. It very comfortably fit our family of 5 plus a a few nights with one set of grandparents. The house is very well kept, well appointed, and up to date. Everything in the kitchen seemed brand new. The house is basically a one minute walk down to a beautiful beach. The private association beach is relatively small, especially at high tide, but you can basically walk for a mile in every direction, including straight out when the tide is low. The location is excellent and super convenient both to Brewster and Orleans. And the management company was friendly and responsive. Definitely recommend this property to anyone.
