Everything! This was our third stay and we are already planning a fourth. The cottage is perfect - every little detail has been thought of and the host, Alan, is fantastic. Not only is the property ideal, the location is also great for accessing a whole host of different places whether you want to go walking, visit historic houses or enjoy some retail therapy. Glossop itself also has plenty of amenities so you can easily leave the car and spend time around the local area too.

Location was perfect

Nicely located, charming, immaculate cottage with a friendly and welcoming host. Exactly what we were looking for, for a weekend away in the Peaks. The cottage was well equipped and exceptionally clean. The hosts Alan and Carole prepared a welcome pack consisting of wine, bottled water and chocolate which was a very nice little touch. You could tell the cottage is extremely well looked after and the hosts put a lot of effort in making their guests’ stay comfortable. If you are a couple or a small family of 3, I truly recommend this place.

Absolutely fantastic! A lovely cosy cottage that was immaculately clean. Superb attention to detail. excellent well equip kitchen including tea,coffee, oil, salt and pepper. A selection of treats was also a nice touch. A beautiful bedroom with stunning views and the most comfortable bed. fabulous bathroom with really nice toiletries provided. Great location. 3 pubs within walking distance and a lovely microbrewery right on the doorstep. Highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The cottage was very comfy and clean. The location was perfect and Alan was great, giving me a lift from the train station. I will definitely go back again to this beautiful place!!

we loved everything about this beautiful cottage. single mum and two sons stayed in Oct 2022 for the weekend. the cottage was absolutely lovely, beautifully decorated, everything you could need and more for your stay. I would say this accommodation was classed as luxury. The beds are unbelievable comfortable and the shower, just wow. even down to natural washing products, personalised key dishes and multiple walking options with maps. this cottage really is a home away from home. the owner is super lovely, great communication and you can tell you having a nice stay is important to them. the lovely garden attracts lots of wildlife, even in Oct I was bird watching in the garden. this cottage is in a lovely village with a strong community vibes, peaceful and safe. there was nothing we needed over our weekend that we couldn’t find in this cottage. we will definitely be back to stay here

everything was perfect!!

The location is amazing: Old Glossop is very cute, there is a great brewery/restaurant a two minute walk away, and you can start several nice walks into the peaks district from there. The cottage itself is comfortable, really nicely furnished, and the kitchen is well stocked. Alan was super helpful and friendly, and very responsive. We booked because we were moving overseas and needed a place to stay after all our furniture was picked up. We couldn't have wished for a better last few days in Glossop, and will definitely look at booking again when we come back to visit!
