La propiedad es muy original, una pequeña experiencia única que puede gustar a los que no les gusta la rutina... Muy buena relación calidad-precio.
No hay suficientes tendederos para colgar la ropa mojada o el bañador. Es una pena, ¡es tan práctico!

The owner has made the place very attractive with different seating areas, a pool, lovely outdoor lights etc. The shared facilities are good. I enjoyed the experience of sleeping in the cylindrical casitas. There is room only for the big bed so you use that as your seating/living area as well. I stayed 3 days but it might get claustraphobic if you were to stay much longer.
Somewhere to hang wet clothes/swim suits/towels etc would be good. The guests used the benches and chairs.

They have such a lovely outdoor shower!! Love love love it! The pool is nice and refreshing. Not so hot, which is good since you want to cool off. The sleeping pods are small, but I don't find them claustrophobic as some people in the comments say. They obviously have never camped before 😂
They have free coffee to make and a fair kitchen to use. It had a nice ambiance!
The only thing I did not like were the ants.. although you can not controll nature of course... they were not in the sleeping pod! But they do walk around the premises off course and walk over you while you sit and have your meal. Nothing major though.
There was one lock on the toilet door that could not lock. The other one could though. So also not a verry big deal.
It is a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest beach and because it's in the national park, you have to pay.
Walking to the city is about 40 minute walk.
It's a plus if you like it more quietly though 😊

This place is really amazing. The room was small, cosy and practical. I really like that each room is its separate small building as it gives a sense if privacy. The common areas were clean and convenient.

Cute pool and shared kitchen. Awesome showers. Strong AC in the room. The host was very accommodating and allowed us to push our reservation by one night because of travel problems.
The room is very very small, no flat floor space so if you have a lot of bags it’s a little challenging. Not ideal for a long stay in my opinion.

Beautiful accommodation with a cozy vibe and a nice pool. The facilities (kitchen and bathroom) are great.
The rooms are a bit too small (its difficult to stand in there)

there was AC! outdoor showers were ok, but soap dispensers were empty.
difficult to reach on a road that’s not asphalted… not much to do around, you need abut 20 mins walking to get to a restaurant. you really do get a small barrel, which is generally good except the area is very humid so it’s not super pleasant inside despite the AC. sheets were clean, the barrel floor / sides could be cleaner tho

There wasn’t any receptionist, all communication was through phone or computer.
There was some miss communication on both ends for payment. I assumed the establishment was just going to charge my Credit card after my stay. They we’re not able to so I had to set up Pay Pal since I had already moved on to my next destination in Costa Rica.
I wasn’t sure if I was at the Hostel when I showed up in the back ally to a black fence with no sign say Koru Village hostel.
cold showers

The Koru experience was one that I will never forget. From the pods that you sleep in, to the common area where it’s second nature to relax. The rooms in themselves are super comfortable! The beds and pillows were all clean and the
A/C made sleeping a dream. Better yet there’s these cute animal murals painted on the ceiling of each pod. Mine was the frog holding the leaf! The common area was well planned out and organized for tranquility and functionality. There is a kitchen, pool, and many places to relax. The host of the Hostel was freaking awesome!!! She gave me recommendations of places to go throughout my stay and checked in regularly to see how there’s were going and if I needed anything. It felt like talking to a long time friend. I can’t recommend this place enough, if you’re in Uvita you should make this spot your stay!!!!! Also it’s in walking distance to everything

Here you'll have your own little paradise! Absolutely gorgeous place, and they have really made an effort in making it as special as it is. 100% recommended.
I'd say the only "issue" could be that you have to walk under open sky to get around the compound (i.e. from your room to the bathroom or to the kitchen), which can be a bit inconvenient if the rain is pouring down.

The beds were comfortable and there was AC. The showers were very nice too, also there was a pool.
It is far from everything and if you don‘t have a car, it is very annoying (and hot) to walk there. The kitchen could be a little better equipped and there is barely any space to store your luggage in the room.

I loved the vibe here and the BEDS were especially comfortable. It was really cool to be able to climb into my little igloo hut for privacy and comfort and a great night's sleep in an air-conditioned room. The outdoor showers are HOT WATER and delightful with lush vegetation while you clean off the "day." Lots of little hang-out areas, hammock, swinging chairs, communal eating and kitchen area. good coffee available complimentary, and a refreshing piscina (pool). Not to mention, I was able to walk to all the little cafes and to Ballena (Whaletail Beach) via Marino Ballena park. Great spot and great value.
a few more hooks for hanging inside the room would be helpful and maybe some built-in shelving

The houses were really nice! A bit small, but cute. The aircon was perfect. The host was really friendly and easy walk to Uvita Beach.
We couldn't find it, took a while with our navigation system. Then when we arrived, looked like no one was there.

Very clean and modern facilities. The accommodation has great vibe and nice people who stayed there. Great outdoor spaces.
We weren’t sent the entrance code for the gate in advance, so we had to ask the locals to help since we didn’t have a Wifiplan.

Cute place
This time we paid 48$ Vs 55 last time.
Difficult to understand why.
Also, we wanted to leave a luggage for 4 days.
The owner made us pay 4$ per night for keeping.
I found this not nice neither commercial.
So I don't recommend the place.
Again, no either tourist so not a good social experience

The village is very nice thought and looks good. The outside shower is AMAZING (I want one too ;p). Everything was clean. Nice paintings on the ceiling.
There is space under the bed to put your bags or backpack, but you won't have space to change or move a lot in the tank.
The room is very very very humid. Even with a dehumidifier box and the air conditioning on dry, we still woke up in humid sheets.
It is nice for the experience, it's something new and unusual but for us too expensive regarding the problem with humidity..

Koru is really nice and really quaint. The yard area is fantastic for hanging out in the middle of the day when it’s hot, and great in the evenings. The owner is putting a lot of effort into making this place beautiful, and it shows. The pods are fantastic for backpackers.
Because we didn’t have cell service, Koru was kinda difficult to find. Maybe a couple signs pointing people in the right direction?
The showers are beautiful, but we didn’t have any hot water. In the middle of the day, totally fine. In the evening/night kinda chilly...

The rooms were cute, you can see them in the picture and they are just like that in real life. They have a comfortable bed that is a good size and the airconditioning works well. The bed does take up the whole room though so there is almost no space for your luggage. The shower is amazing, an outside shower with cool flowers and plants around you, it’s like a movie. There was nobody else staying there when we went so we had the pool all to ourselves.
I might have written a lot about what I didn’t like but don’t let that fool you, we really liked it here. The pros far outweighed the cons. I would recommend this place for sure.
The entrance to the hostel is hard to find. On the outside there is a logo but there is no way to tell that this is the Koru Village hostel, they should make a clear sign with their name on it because we drove past it 3 times before we found it. There check in was not very smooth. Supposedly there is an owner called Stephanie but we never met this woman in person during our stay. Instead there was a guy who was kind of a concierge/ construction guy / do everything around the hostel guy who gave us our key. He didn’t introduce himself but that was okay, it’s probably because he only speaks spanish. He was very kind to us but it’s hard if you don’s speak each other’s language.
The power goes out sometimes in Uvita but this is a problem that goes for the whole town so it’s not really the fault of the hostel.
All in all great stay but the communication could be much better. Make a better sign. Be there when guests arrive to check them in and don’t just let your concierge/ construction guy do it for you. Or just hire a proper receptionist who speaks English.

The ac and wifi worked great.
No hot water and there were spiders in the room and got bit several times.

Awesome Place! Shower is insane! Rooms are tiny but enough space to store the luggage. Design is special. We would book it again for sure.

I enjoyed the ambience of the area. I've had a great experience with the pipe homes in Costa Rica :-)
Check-in process felt a bit detached. Otherwise was a great stay.
