We had an excellent stay in this condo. Each of the three bedrooms has lots of room and lots of storage. The air conditioning made a big difference on warm days. Furnishings were great, especially the recently re-done kitchen and floors and it was spotlessly clean! The host was responsive - we had one minor issue that was quickly and thoughtfully resolved. Mainly, the location is absolutely unbeatable. The Crystal River is right out front, the sunsets from the balcony are unparalleled, and in just a two minute walk your toes are in Lake Michigan. Strongly recommend.

This place is a cute little spot with both river and lake views. Very nicely renovated. Just know the kitchen is on the small side if you are looking to cook big dinners.

We’ve been visiting the Homestead for over 10 years, and this was definitely one of the nicest condos we stayed in. The location is wonderful, the view spectacular. We had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed this property. The view of Lake MI is absolutely lovely and it directly over looks the river. We brought our own tubes and enjoyed floating down the (warmer) river into Lake MI. We felt so spoiled having such access to Lake MI. The kitchen/dining/living area is fairly small but very comfortable. Note that the dining table seats 4 and there is small table for 2 on the balcony. The kitchen, while small, had everything we needed to make basic meals. We also used the facility grill and that worked well. Everyone thought their beds were comfortable, although the main floor bed frame was a little squeaky. We also liked how each area had it's own thermostat! We had one question for the host and she answered very promptly. I'm really hoping we can come back again sometime.

This unit inside The Homestead is in a great location, with close up views of the river and Lake Michigan right off your balcony. The downside is everything but the kitchen/living areas need to be updated. Bathrooms are especially in need of complete renovation. The owner was great with communication and very accommodating. We love the location but will look for a more updated unit next time.

The view is great. The instuctions sent a few days before made finding the place easy. Only snall thing i reached out for an early check in but never heard back but might have had the wrong email.

Had a nice stay. Not related to the room itself, the flies are NO JOKE this time of year (June 2024). Bring bug spray. One helpful thing to know when booking if laundry ability is important to you, you will need quarters as this facility has laundry but only as coin-op.

View from the balcony and living room is stunning. Bedrooms are good sized and comfortable for two active over 70 couples. Fall colors on our bike rides and drives around Leelanau lit up our days even when weather didn’t cooperate. The condo was comfortable and in great shape as promised.

We really enjoyed our stay at this very accommodating property. Great amenities and fantastic location to explore Leelanau county! Plenty of room for our group of 6 and the view to Lake Michigan is fantastic.

The views from the balcony are worth every penny! Just a short walk to the Crystal River and Lake Michigan beachfront, which was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay. Karen was a most excellent host. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Beautiful condo with a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan and the sleeping bear area shoreline. Very comfortable and worked well with two small children who could not get enough of the Durham sand beach.

Condo was lovely, nice and clean with an absolutely incredible view. Can see the sand dunes and the manitou islands from the back patio, just a 2 min walk from the beach. Honestly, the place looked even better than the photos in the listing, very modern. Check in was painless, zero complaints about the whole experience.

This was our second consecutive fall stay. Location is great on the river and big lake just over the bridge. Everything you need is in the peninsula. Weather blessed us with fall colors and mid 70s. Had a great time.

This condo suited our needs very well. We were three adults and one child. The condo was spacious and comfortable. Thermostats were a little tricky and took some getting used to but we figured them out. Make sure you bring along additional essentials - toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags - there were minimal quantity available, we had to purchase a restock halfway through our week-long stay. The views and location within The Homestead cannot be beat. Our daughter very much enjoyed the river and beach even on the cooler windy days! Some things could use an update (updated games, better lighting, and thermostats) but we very much appreciated the updated kitchen and downstairs bathroom. I would recommend to others, and I would stay here again in the future.

Perfect getaway
We needed this weekend so badly. Perfect location on the river with views of the big lake. The unit was clean, updated kitchen and flooring on the main level and fit all of our needs. We are very happy.

The area has SO much to offer all ages, and staying on the water was a priority. To be on the 3rd floor was special, therefore having a view of the lake and the river (we couldn't imagine making all the effort to get there and being on the first floor!). All seven sunsets were memorable from the balcony. The upstairs loft/suite gave our 15 year old perfect independence. The only negative would be the incredibly loud air conditioner unit, which fortunately we didn't need much.

The view is the best part of this place. Watching the sunsets every night was priceless. The Kitchen was recently updated and everything else was in good condition, clean, and comfortable. The living space is small but functional, the bedrooms are large.

Wonderful vacation in a gorgeous area of the country
We had the best time last week in Glen Arbor Michigan. It was a perfect stay with Karen as an awesome host. The week before she sent us a large document with what to bring and all the information we needed for check-in and check out and area information with links. It was very detailed and very helpful and we used that packet the entire time. The condo is a perfect in and out spot to visit the Sleeping Bear dunes, check out all the awesome towns like Traverse City and Leland. And then head home in the afternoon for a dip in the lake. We went to bed every night very happy watching the sunset beside the Sleeping Bear dune. The condo is very clean and well equipped. The parking is very easy. The small kitchen was perfect for our needs. And my older son loved the loft as a quiet place to hang out by himself. We fished, kayak, hiked, visited towns, swam in the lake, ate wonderful local fish, explored, and really enjoyed meeting all the locals who are so nice. It was a perfect vacation and we are excited to come again. Thank you Karen for all that you did set us up for a great trip.
