This was our second time staying at Karen and Ed’s lovely home on the river. It felt like coming home. Our hosts think of everything. There is not one thing I would change. It’s quiet and peaceful and lovely. We kayaked and ate out and sat on the river deck. Our dogs were safe and enjoyed protecting us from the squirrels. We’re coming back next year!

Outstanding property in a beautiful area that provides everything you need for a first-class stay. Very well maintained both inside and out and stocked with toys galore. We took the kayaks out daily from the dock and explored up and down the river. Tons of other options for kayaking, biking, hiking, etc in the immediate area make this the perfect base camp for your Nature’s Coast adventure.

This was a great place for us to stay while visiting my brother in Dunnellon. The fenced backyard was perfect for our pet. This is by far the most well stocked vacation rental we have ever stayed at. Very comfortable overall.

Our stay was very enjoyable! From the creek/river that runs behind the house and having kayaks on hand to enjoy was great! We like that the house had almost everything we needed except a lighter to light the outside firepit lol! We had to get creative with that one. Overall it was a enjoyable, quiet stay even though the Florida weather was a little off that week. 😁

Wonderful property situated on the Withalacoochie River. Fenced yard, kayaks and bicycles. You will not be disappointed.

House was as stated. Very clean and could tell it was well cared for home. Our dog enjoyed the fenced backyard. Good restaurants in the area. It was somewhat chilly while we were there, so no fish were biting. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

This was our second stay and it was outstanding again. Clean, comfortable, well furnished and supplied, and serene. For a laid back, relaxing get away it is ideal. Within 5 minutes of our arrival we were asking ourselves why we waited 2 years between trips. We will return - again!

We were looking for a rental in this area because it reminds us of "old Florida". This property appealed to us for the location, the deck and waterfront, and the fenced yard - which was fabulous for our 2 Golden Retrievers. What we didn't expect was the incredibly attention to detail that was provided. The host's were superb, and obviously go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. I would rate this a 10 if that were possible. We very much look forward to our next visit back here!

The owners have themed this house for paddlers. This is executed well and quite appropriate for the location. Well done!

We could not have picked a better place for what we needed. The location was great. Quiet and cozy! The backyard was secure for the pup while also giving us easy access to the river. The house had everything you could possibly need and more. It was clean and comfortable! Thank you for a great vacation.

My husband and I stayed here with our 3 dogs. We also trailered our kayaks up to visit the springs. We had an absolutely fantastic vacation here and definitely want to come back! The house was immaculate and extremely well stocked. It had paper towels, plenty of toilet paper, trash bags, spices for cooking, plenty of towels, etc. Each shower had a dispenser with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. We didn't use them because we had ours, but they had four kayaks at the house. They even had firewood and a smores kit! There was also a basket by the back slider with a flashlight, sunscreen, and bug spray. They even had a bowl outside for water for the dogs. Karen was super communicative with us and even gave us the option of early check in. She was also extremely accomodating to us bringing three dogs. The dogs had so much fun between going up and down the stairs, sitting on the deck looking at the water, and all of the squirrels! The house itself is out in the country. Its so peaceful there, but also only about 15 minutes into town. You can easily get groceries delivered, run in for dinner, etc. The beds are super compfortable and the TV's support airplay so you can stream your netflix if you wish. I really can't say enough good about the owners and the property. We had an amazing vacation.

What a great place! The home was plenty big for my husband, me and our 2 pups and it was one of the cleanest homes I've ever been in. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking, the 2 beds were large and comfortable, and the A/C was nice and cold! Outside was a big surprise with a very large, fenced in yard, right on the river with a wonderful dock, kayaks and a fire-pit to use, and a lot of beautiful trees. Overall this was such a quiet, peaceful place and we will definitely stay here again; we loved it!

It’s all about the details, they put allot of time into the details. The soft sheets, the perfectly fenced in yard, kayaks, bikes, fire pit, towels, pots pans, everything you could think of and more. They even had a s’mores kit to make the perfect gram cracker marshmellow treat over the fire. On the river and 9 minutes away from Dunkin donuts

My family loves this rental! We have visited twice of the holiday weekend and enjoyed it very much both times. The property is clean and equipped with the essentials. Our family enjoyed the scenic backyard and fishes right from the dock. Highly recommend!

We love coming here for a quick weekend getaway . This was our second time visiting. It’s in a relaxing and scenic location close to the Rainbow and as a plus we are able to bring our dog ! The home is well kept and comfortable and has all you need for entertainment including bikes and kayaks. We will be back again!

This place never ceases to amaze us with how beautiful and relaxing it is. It is just far enough from everything to feel secluded but close enough to whatever you want or need. There’s plenty of things to do in the area or nothing at all. I just wish everyone that stays here would stop telling people how great it is because it’s getting so hard to find openings to come back. That being said if you stay here you won’t regret it as it will draw you in and you’ll want to come back again and again. Never had a trip here that wasn’t exactly what we needed to have a nice relaxing time and enjoy the great outdoors. Plus the local restaurants are really good as well.

When we opened the door we were extremely pleased. It appeared clean and thoughtfully decorated. Within 5 minutes we noticed dead and live roach activity. The kitchen dish drain, silverware drawers and cabinets were absolutely covered with small roaches. I immediately notified the host. She was apologetic but offered no solution. She simply stated she was unable to meet pest control that day before our arrival. Unfortunately, we were unable to relocate and had to buy large plastic containers to keep our food and clothing in, to prevent food contamination and risk taking them home in our personal belongings. As a nurse who treasures her time off this was a huge disappointment and for the money we paid I would expect higher standards and more resolution from the host.

We all enjoyed the river home . Loved the fenced yard.our dogs enjoyed it. Kayaks were great! Would like to come back 8n the spring.

Excellent rental property. The house is very well maintained, clean, and the property is in a quiet neighborhood. Access to the main river is about 10 paddles away by kayak. The river was low but the perfect height to teach my kids how to kayak. As a plus the area below the dock is clear and not tanic so no worries on gators. The fire pit, cornhole game, and snorkeling gear all were used daily. The family is already asking when we can return.

The property is well maintained, with a new gas grill, well taken care of bikes, and kayaks. The lovely home had a nice open style kitchen, and living room. The furniture was very comfortable, and very welcoming. Both bedrooms had king beds. Located directly on the Withlacoochie River, which runs into the famous Rainbow River. The home is also very close to Fort Island Beach, which is also one of our favorites. Stumpknockers restaurant is really close, Highly recommend it! BURGER SHOP, in HERNANDO, ....oh yes...and the ownership of this home are Super awesome! You are great! If you get to visit this place, take care of it, be kind..it will take care of you!

As always the house was very clean and well stocked with all the things that you could think of for an enjoyable getaway. We were not able to enjoy everything the place had to offer in one week and look forward to our next visit in the near future.

This cabin was just perfect! Perfect size for our family of 4 and our 3 dogs! Clean, well stocked kitchen and products for the kitchen, and also paper products like paper towels and toilet paper. Little touches were awesome too, like the candies, s’mores kit and bottle of Chardonnay. Communication and availability was quick and effortless. The backyard was perfect! It was too warm for us to use the fire pit, but we were out there frequently with the dogs who ran themselves ragged. We played cornhole, fished off the deck and took the kayaks out both days on the river. My only complaint was that our stay was too short. Hoping we can make another trip, and much longer, to see more of the area.

Excellent cabin for its cleanliness and full complement! The King beds are the most comfortable we have found on a Vrbo! We were days away from enjoying the Kayaks and bikes more, but we did and my granddaughters loved going down to the Withlacoochee River and listening to its sounds! We couldn't find a better cabin! absolutely no complaints

This was the best vacation rental we have ever been in. The house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The master bed was very comfortable along with the living room furniture, and the screened in porch was the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Very hospitable host, well stocked home, gorgeous river with kayaks and an easy to use kayak launch. This is one of our favorite rentals as we love beinf in middle of nature. There is no better view than from the back screened porch!

Excellent communication with owners. House was 100% ready for our stay. Thoughtful touches like Wine, dog bowls, board. games, etc We had our three dogs and they loved it. Dogs were totally safe with lots of running room. I cannot wait to stay again, and have friends book for visits to our new home in Beverley Hills..

By far, the best place on the Withlacoochee! Karen and Ed are excellent hosts. The house is immaculate and contained everything we could have needed. We loved the quiet and peacefulness and all the river creatures and birds

We loved being in this clean cottage on the river with our two dogs. It was a great place for us all to unwind and listen to mother nature. We hope to come back real soon!!

Spent 5 days here, while hurricane Nicole went through Florida. Place is better than the pictures. Very close to many stores, restaurants. Usually the furniture in a VRBO is what they picked up at thrift shops, not comfortable. The beds here are awesome. My mom had nothing but good things to say about her sleep while there. Recliners and couch also very comfy. Well appointed with supplies; coffee, tea, sugar, seasonings, kitchen equipment, TP, soap, shampoo, etc. Would definitely stay here again

The location is beautiful and the fully fenced in yard is terrific.

Our "Happy! Happy! Merry! Merry!" Family get together, celebrating our Birthday's, Thanksgiving and Christmas all in one was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! The house was so welcoming and comfortable! Our Host was friendly and personable. They thought of EVERYTHING to make our stay memorable! The River was GORGEOUS! The Kayaks were well maintained and the dockside launch made it so easy!
