The residence housed 6 adults for the vintage Grand Prix celebration. The in town location was key to being able to walk to the various village activities.

The previous guests reported ants in the kitchen and exterminator visited before we arrived. However, the ants were present throughout our 5 day stay. Also, the upstairs bathtub drain leaked filling the bathroom floor with water that flowed down through the dining room ceiling. When we reported the problem to the property manager, she thanked us for reporting and said she would let the owner know (no offer of help to cleanup the mess or compensate us for the inconvenience).

The house suited our need very well. Having 2nd floor bedrooms that were separated with their own staircase allowed for a napping child and working parents. The location was excellent-being able to walk to restaurants and ice cream shops was a big plus.

We had an excellent weekend, went to the cardboard boat regatta, checked out some of the wineries and breweries up the lake. The house suited our group perfectly. We would definitely book this house for future trips to Watkins Glen. A special Thank you to Shawna for taking care of the one issue we had and for the mimosas and wine.

Great location

The property is very similar to the listing. Checking in and out was very easy. It is a short walk to the bars and restaurants in town and very close to the National Park. Weather was not great but we had a great weekend anyway.

Great stay in Watkins Glen. Communication with owner was so easy. House was very clean and great space for 8 of us. There is Dunkin’ Donuts right across street and a great deli one block away that was perfect to take hoagies touring wineries. Would definitely stay here again!

Shawna's place is very spacious, which worked well for us as we were traveling with an infant. Everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival. The location is within walking distance of many things, including restaurants, stores, and Watkins Glen State Park. I would highly recommend staying here!

Not much to look at from the outside but it was a great property and amazing location. Lots of room in the house for our family of 8. Loved having so many bathrooms and great kitchen too. Others comment on noise from the street but didn’t notice it at all.

We booked this place because I was having back problems and wanted a short walk to a lot of places. Perfectly placed just out of town and short walk to restuarants, shops, bars, and Seneca Lake - went on Capt Bills sunset cruise and had a blast! Plenty of room, updated bathroom in a great king suite upstairs!

Great place for large families, multiple bedrooms with their own bathrooms. Each bedroom also had its own personal portable ac unit that was great. Only minutes walk to Watkins Glen State Park. Off of a busy road but close to downtown shops, the lake, and big brand stores like Walmart. Would recommend and stay here again.

Everything was very good! The location was perfect. The inside looks so nice, but the outside, especially the front door, really needs some work! It was exceptionally warm so we all were a little hit the first night, but the Second night was better! We would definitely recommend it to friends. The stairs were a little tough for us, but we are all old, lol!

We had a great time in the City of Watkins Glen. The house is centrally located and in walking distance to the National Park. House was very spacious and accomodating.

Everything was fine - just minor issue (water dispenser and ice maker in fridge didn't work)

Three couples and a 2.5 year old stayed here for the NASCAR weekend at WGI. This house had everything we needed for a great stay. It’s old, with lots of the quirks old houses have, but plenty of space, modern kitchen and bathrooms, and comfortable beds. We’d happily stay here again!

The traffic noise is really bad, with Tractor Trailer's coming thru at all times of the day and night. This property could really benefit from having the windows upgraded that face the street, as most are the original single pane 1930's. Front door needs to be replaced, and the pots and pans were horrible, and should be replaced as the teflon was gone on most of them. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen have been nicely updated, however the bathroom on the main level bedroom should have the vent duct enclosed as it looks a bit unsightly.

Our family recently stayed at this home in Watkins Glen. This was our first vacation in years, so we were super excited. When we pulled up we were a bit worried because the outside of the house looks like it needs repair but we were pleasantly surprised when we went inside. This rental was clean and big enough for our family of five. The big problem with this rental is where it is situated. The house is literally on a highway with tons of cars and very large trucks passing at all hours of the day and night. We set our family up in the front bedrooms the evening we arrived, not realizing this would be an issue and our entire family had a horrible night's sleep. It sounds as though you are listening to an airplane coming in for a landing when the larger trucks come through especially, which makes sleep impossible. We live in a very densely populated city so we are used to street noise, but this is unlike anything we have ever experienced. I alerted the rental manager of our issue the next morning and was told she would get back to me. I never heard back and we hoped maybe the first night was just a fluke with race weekend beginning but no, another night of no sleep. We were supposed to stay another night but left early because we couldn't go through that again, especially with 3 kids not sleeping, makes vacation less than desirable. I suggest if you decide to go to this rental bring a white noise machine to help. Additionally, the listing stated that there was 24 hours between guests due to COVID, which I later learned from the rental manager was not the case either, unfortunately. I never write negative reviews but hoping this helps someone because the owner was not open to helping us. Very disappointing experience.

This house is perfect for a group get away. Location is walkable to the small downtown where there are shops and food as well the water. I would definitely recommend

The house was in a great location right in Watkins Glen. We could walk to Watkins Glen State Park and several stores. The house is clean, nicely decorated and looks like it was recently updated. There was plenty of space for our party of 8 (2 families of four). Shawna was a pleasure to rent from. We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice vacation rental that is minutes away from the state park and well stocked with plenty of towels, soap and cooking condiments. It felt like we were staying at a professionally run hotel.
