The home and location were excellent and the pool area was lovely to hang out at and catch some sunshine. In general it was a great experience, however some significant concerns were that we did not have hot water for 2 of the 5 days we were there. the host fixed the problem the following day, but it was a severe inconvenience as we were biking all day and didn't want to go to bed sweaty. Host asked for $70 cash payment for tourist taxes, which should generally be collected and paid through VRBO. I don't think its appropriate to ask for more money when we arrive that has not been communicated to us beforehand. They told us that we have limited use of electricity for heating / cooling and then would have to pay for any extra electricity usage, however we didn't even come close to using it all. There was no hand soap in bathrooms, and though a washing machine was advertised, no soap for it. Only the upstairs bedroom has an AC unit, the others have fans and the AC unit is in the hallway, which limits the ability to cool the individual rooms, particularly at night when the doors are closed, and the windows closed to prevent mosquitos from entering.

A great property… great location… and the pool was an unexpected yet wondrous surprise with the on going heat wave. Would return again and again.
