Breakfast was provided every morning, on time. Paolo and his staff went above and beyond to provide restaurant reservations, parking accommodations, and daily local excursions for our group.

Everything was absolutely perfect!!!! Highly recommended.

Location was in middle of town. Paolo was so friendly and helpful-he worked hard to make sure we were comfortable and happy! Breakfast was great. Our suite with deck had an amazing view. But it was really Paolo that made it all wonderful!

Wifi signal quite weak in the bedroom, but didn’t affect our stay as every other aspect was excellent.

Paulo , Roberta and Matteo were extraordinarily helpful and welcoming. We were upgraded to a room with frescoes, facilities all very modern. Food good . Roberta has adjoining shop with elegant ladies and men's fashions. Matteo collected us from station ( no taxis in Castaglione) and Paolo drove us 20 minutes into Umbrian country to meet friends at their house for dinner and offered to collect us at end of evening - all without charge. Excellent recommendations re local food and activities in town and Isola Maggiore.

Host Paolo’s excellent customer service. he was very kind and generous to us. He introduced excellent bistro and restaurant. He kindly helped to carry our luggages to the parking lot. I am very sure that this hotel is the most comfortable in my journey. I would like to go this hotel again soon. Also, Im looking forward to seeing you again Paolo and hope see you next year at your new hotel. Thank you very much

Fantastic hotel in a perfect location The best part of the stay was the staff Paulo checked us In Paulo served breakfast Paulo was there in the evening Pauli is everywhere all the time and always happy He took great care of us but beware He WILL try to get you to eat too much at breakfast 😂😂😂 I love this little hotel I would definitely go back

It was such a wonderful stay in an exceptional hotel in the heart of a beautiful city. The hotel staff may have been the friendliest people we had ever met. They also helped us with every thing we could have ever needed; from cutlery at midnight, to giving us recommendations in the region, to lending us an umbrella on rainy days. Could not have asked for more, and will definitely re-visit!

Great room with fresco artwork. very clean and large. Paola the owner was extremely helpful and provided transportation for us to Isola Maggiore and to Assisi. He is very knowledgeable about the area and history. A jolly host. All the other staff were friendly and kind.

The hotel is centrally located along the main street in town. Free parking (both during the day and overnight) is available just outside the walls of the historic centre, which can be only a short walk away. The host, Paolo, and his family, are very friendly and helpful. The room was quite large by European standards, particularly the bathroom. The breakfast that was provided was very good and extremely generous. Due to COVID protocols the buffet was not being offered but we were given a menu to make our selections for the next day, and asked to choose a time to attend in the breakfast room.

Really modern decor which you don't see much in Italian villages. Really lovely big rooms, very luxury feel with marble floors, high ceilings and large bed and shower.

great views from a room with a hot tub on the terrace! Choose this room! loved breakfast on the terrace too. worth the extra.

This is a beautiful hotel with a fabulous view of the lake. What really made our visit was the kindness of Paulo and the staff. Outstanding!

Maybe the best linens of any hotel we stayed at in Italy

The property was as described: off the beaten path in a medieval monastery/convent with beautiful rooms. Breakfast was very good and dinner in the restaurant superb. Staff very helpful.

Not much could be better except for our physical conditioning. The walk from reception to our unit was tough for 70 yr old folks. It is what it is.
