Delicious, fresh with local ingredients, in a pleasant light-filled dining room

The location was fine.

The shower leaked in the night. I was severely chastised for leaving the shower on -- I had not left it on to my knowledge. was not given breakfast as a conseuence on either of the two days I was there. I had believed I had turned the shower off before I went to bed.. The owner came to my room in the night to mop up the spill...........I could not sleep after his fury.. The property has been recently renovated to a high standard and has a great central location - the breakfast was top notch The hosts were lovely !

Our room was a little quirky given we were at the top of the house but that’s to be expected given the age of the property

As we visited in March, room was a bit too cold and the only option was electric heater to warm up. Because of that humidity easily condensed in room and wet jackets struggled to dry out.

Mount Street House was absolutely immaculate, beautiful decorated and a lovely place to stay. Our hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. An aspect of our stay that was also nice is that nobody but us entered the room during our stay of two nights. If you needed extra tea, coffee etc there was a form to complete and leave in the hallway, and the tea etc would be left outside your room. Breakfast was delicious, freshly made that morning as per our order form submitted the night before. Shower was fantastic and the whole place spotless on our arrival.

Bedroom was a bit cool for sitting down to read. (November) but an auxiliary fan heater was provided.

A really lovely upmarket B&B / hotel, friendly, clean, good sized rooms, comfortable bed and splendid view over the mountains (from our room), nice breakfast room and a decent breakfast with local produce, you can’t ask for more than that. If we come back to the Brecons, I would stay here.

Really lovely accommodation, our room was perfect, clean, light and airy with a lovely comfy bed! Excellent breakfast and a great selection to choose from and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay - we would definitely recommend.

Lovely spacious room with comfortable chairs, looking out on a mountain view. Shower head choice (waterfall & smaller adjustable head) & good size bathroom. Breakfast was very good quality, choice & quantity wise.

Part of a Grade 2 listed terrace. Very well maintained, furnished and decorated. Virtually in the centre of Brecon. A filling, well cooked breakfast. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Brecon needs better parking arrangements for people staying for days rather than hours.
