El cafe

The property is located between the ocean and the river. The exterior amenities were lovely. The outdoor bar with live music was a pleasant surprise.

Our room, although recently updated and clean, was bare bones. The TV was miniscule. There was no soap, shower/floor mat or washcloths provided. The shower was impossible given that the shower curtain was mounted too high above the floor pan, and water went everywhere. The shower drain was slow - causing further flooding conditions. No coffee maker was provided, and going down to the lobby for coffee proved exasperating, as guests were waiting to make individual Keurig cups one at a time. If there is no other alternative for morning coffee, there should be at least a pot brewing - especially on crowded weekends!

It was across from the beach.

The rooms were bare, simple microwave, two beds dresser 1side table, a chair and tv. There was no garbage can except for the bathroom, the side window looked at a white fence. There ants all over the bathroom floor we didn’t notice this until the morning we were leaving, we had no food in the room that could have attracted them. The bathroom was so old it looked like they had repainted so many times there were air pockets trapped and after we took a shower it looked like the paint was ripping off. Super thin walls I could hear the next door occupants snorting and having regular conversations till 2 am. I would never again pay $350 to stay in a dump like this. I’m curious how long it will take for the ants to get to the “nicer” rooms. I did enjoy the bar/cafe.

Except the location there is nothing I liked about the property. It was such a bad experience. The staff was not helping for any issue you have. They just said no and sorry to any questions we had. The property smells weed although it is no smoking place. Rooms were dirty and bathroom was terrible. and they refused to provide cleaning or housekeeping.

The property was poorly managed. The staff was good for nothing. For the whole trip the lock of my room was broken and they did not get it fixed neither changed my room. We were always scared while we were out as our belongings were unsafe. I complained the staff 3-4 times but they did not do anything. They just assured that the property is safe but it does not matter. You need to have a locks in the room to make guest comfortable. I have serious complaints about the cleanliness. The bathroom was so small, dirty and broken and the staff refused to provide cleaning/housekeeping or any maintenance. They kept mentioning they do not have anyone to do it. Frankly it seemed like they were trained to say NO to any request from the guests. There was constant smell of weed although smoking was not allowed. And it was hard to understand that they were refusing everything because they did not have maintenance, housekeeping etc available on the Memorial Day weekend. I will not recommend anyone with family to stay there.
