Amazing location and amenities! Was really a slice of paradise tucked away. Chris was a great host and we had a great vacation. There is tons to do on the property and the cabin had everything we needed. Would definitely come back!

Great stay at this Retreat from the hussle and bussle! It was wonderful to just relax and reconnect with nature. We had an awesome time and will go back!

Another great weekend splashed around in the water. My family had a great time. Chris makes sure there’s a lot of activities to do. Hot tub, canoeing, swimming, yard games, etc..

My family enjoyed their time. The swimming pound is nice to swim in and the property has a lot of games and things to do!

Wonderful stay!

Chris has built a wonderful cabin that comes with all amenities needed. We spent 3 nights/4 days here in sweltering hot weather, the pond was what we needed to cool off and the hot tub was great in the late evening. Chris was always available when needed, huge shout out to him for going out of his way to get the right fishing equipment for my 4 and 7 year old boys!

Second time back here. Chris has created a gem of a property. The location is entirely private. The lake is clean and the hot tub works great! We have recommended this place to friends who also need a break from the city.

Had an amazing time! No tv, no iPads, no gaming system, just nature ! Kids had so much fun and so much entertainment they forgot what an iPad is. Location is a hidden gem. Chris the property manager is always available, and was always there when he said he would. We will be back!

It is a beautiful piece of paradise, we stayed at the cabin for a week and were able to sit back and relax to get away from the busy city. It was our anniversary and Chris was kind enough to give us a bottle of his wine to celebrate. We loved sitting back in the old bathtub or the wood fired hot tub under the stars. The stocked Fish Pond was relaxing feeding the fish or just watching them swim by and we were also able to enjoy a swim, kayak and canoe float. And of course Chris was a great host.

What a great little place to escape to. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here as way to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy city life. Chris was a fantastic and extremely attentive host. We loved the wood burning hot tub especially in the rain and cool evenings. Our boys loved feeding the fish each day. You have a wonderful little spot! Thanks again Chris!

I planned my sisters bachelorette party here, and the experience was beyond anything that could have imagined!! The owner went above and beyond enduring we had the best possible experience; both with always being ready to provide or assist with anything we needed, and with providing us new opportunities of things to do/experience. Honestly, a weekend was not long enough! There's still so much I'm dying to do there & so many things i wish to relive. If it were up to me, I'd go back right this second and stay for at least a month! The experience was magical and i had a smile on my face the whole time. The cabin is so cozy & i was fortunate enough to sleep up in the loft - which meant so much to me. Absolutely perfect. I NEED a woodburning hot tub in my life now! Can i come back? I wanna come back, please!

What a great place to unwind for a couple of days. So much to do if you want or plenty of ways to do nothing! Chris was a great host. What a beautiful spot!

Such an amazing place. Magical barely scratches the surface. We were lucky enough to stay here the night of the biggest Northen lights in 20 years, and it didn’t disappoint. Sitting in the hot tub and looking out over the peaceful pond is a relaxation that can’t be matched. And Rig (the cat), we miss you already!!

Can honestly say that this is by far one of our most favorites places to go now. Chris was so pleasant to interact with. From the beautiful views of the pond and wildlife, hot tub, cozy fires in the cabin, lake/lawn toys, board games inside, hiking trails, we couldn't decide what was more enjoyable. Complete privacy. I took my boyfriend here with a couple friends for his birthday and it was the closest thing to paradise I could find in Alberta. The host goes above and beyond for his guests and that made the experience that much better. Will be back again :)

This place was exactly what my wife and I needed. I nice relaxing quiet weekend away. No kids. No dogs. No schedules. Chris was great to deal with. He is very friendly and greets you like your old friends. It was my wife’s birthday weekend and he went and put a birthday cake in the fridge for us, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole weekend! The hot tub at this cabin is definitely the Chef’s kiss. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Chris for the great weekend away!

We booked this cabin for our anniversary and it did not disappoint! We love outdoors and wood stoves, and very much enjoyed keeping the hot tub stoked, and the cabin warm. Lots of time by the fire playing cards and enjoying the wine. We look forward to coming back with our kids. This cabin has everything you need, pack your food, cloths and enjoy!

This property has some great things going for it - privacy, peace and quiet first and foremost. This is a great spot for “getting away from it all”. We loved skating/shinny hockey on the pond and cross- country skiing at nearby Pembina Nordic Center. Cabin is heated by a wood stove as is the hot tub and that feels like stepping back in time. Note that there’s no wifi, limited cell signal and no TV - great for getting away from it all, but you should be aware of that going in. Chris was a friendly and attentive host.

A wonderful getaway into the wilderness to disconnect from a busy life and recharge in nature. We had a relaxing few days of exploring, skating, hot tubbing and stoking the fireplace. We will be back!

Chris was a great host and his property is beautiful! We travelled myself and my husband and our three boys aged 7. 10 and 12. They loved playing hockey on the pond, having a campfire and soaking in the hot tub. A great place to check out and enjoy nature and time together as a family!

We had a great stay at Chris' cabin. It was just what we needed at the end of the year - the quiet, cozy cabin had everything we needed including a wood fired hot tub and nearby trails.

My partner and I booked this property for four days over the holidays and we had a very relaxing time. Chris had put up a Christmas tree and garland with lights inside the cabin to make it festive. We skated on the pond, cooked on the BBQ and hung out in the hot tub for hours watching the stars. Chris was very accommodating as always. We will be back!

This cabin makes you feel like you are living on another planet. It takes you back in time to a place where times felt simpler, to a time when you could just simply sit in a rocking chair, swaying back and forth in front of the blazing fire in meditation, a time where there were little distractions and you were fully immersed in the present moment. Feeling the warmth of the fire, and hearing the crackling of the wood was one of my favourite moments during our visit. We spent our days taking in the beautiful land — the birds, the moose, the clear, wide open sky. Taking in the fresh country air was like learning what it is to breathe again. Lounging in the wood fire hot tub underneath the stars was such a treat! The cabin has an amazing rustic copper bath tub that you are guaranteed to have the best bath of your life in. We just loved the antique furniture throughout the cabin and all it’s rugged charm. We spent the rest of our time reading, playing card games and losing track of time. Chris is a very attentive host. He ensured we had everything we needed, and even started the hot tub up for us in the morning. He is very friendly and shared many stories about the land. We are both so grateful that this cabin exists and hope to return in the very near future. It is a magical place. Thank you, Chris!

We were looking for a peaceful cabin to get away to for a weekend, and boy did we find it! The privacy was outstanding, the cabin is exactly what you picture when you think of a log cabin. We spent our days reading, playing cards or letting the dog adventure on the trails, and our nights enjoying the wonderful bathtub and hot tub. Can’t wait to return in the future!

We loved staying here! The property is beautiful and the woodfire stove and hot tub are cosy and relaxing. Chris was great, he was really responsive and helpful but also gave us our space. Highly recommend!

After our first trip about 3 weeks ago, we decided to come back again from the Island. The trip was worth the drive. Chris is the best host and we love spending time at his gorgeous cabin location!! Chris took my hubby Kelly out for a cruise on the quad and Kelly was so grateful for that....loved to hear all about Chris' amazing stories.
