Nice size house. For a decent size family. We took 5month, 4yr old & 3 adult teens. Plenty of bath towels . Need to bring your own beach towels & toys. Also any fishing items, you may want. There is 2 small kayaks & a smaller canoe & larger canoe. Plenty of life jackets for young kids & adults. Nicely stocked kitchen with dishes , pots & pans , along with plenty of seasonings/spices. ( you need to bring, your own baggies or Tupperware, paper towels & roasting sticks) There is an ice machine that is amazing if needing to pack coolers or just always have ice. Nice size deck that looks over the dock & lake area!! Perfect for grilling out & enjoying the beautiful weather. Small beach just a short way up the lake/road that our littles had a great time at. ( also has a volleyball net at) Cons: Unclear on how TV upstairs actually worked, we were unable to use. Would be nice with simple DVD player. Cleaning needs a little more attention, Underbeds, also under, behind couches & the cushions also. There is no laundry room, but there is a laundromat in town that is a short drive. Along with small grocery store. And would highly suggest eating at Railhouse Pub! Overall nice long weekend for our family to have some lake time, go fishing, play in the water/sand & get away.

Cottage was peaceful and quiet. Great that there were canoes and kayaks to explore the lake. Firepit and deck at lakefront are nice for relaxing. Host was responsive with a couple questions I had during our stay. I was disappointed that the two showers were so small and outdated. No overhead fan or chest of drawers in the main bedroom.

We stayed for a weekend as a family. The lake was lovely. House as described. Enjoyed the dock, kayaks and canoes, nearby beach with dock you can swim to/jump off of. For families with young children, there are a couple of latching gates to keep littles from wandering down the stairs to the lake. There were plenty of cups, dishes, silverware etc but there is no dishwasher in the unit so if you have a larger group plan on using some paper plates/ to avoid doing dishes constantly. Beds were very comfortable.

Everything we needed was provided. The lake and pool were awesome. My kids didn't want to leave. The owner was very easy to communicate with. We hope to stay again in the future.

Our family had a wonderful time at Innsbrook and enjoyed this property. Easy access to a nice size lake, the kids loved swimming and kayaking. The chalet is nicely furnished and had everything needed. There's a rustic feel of staying in the woods while also having the comforts and luxury of AC, nice beds, full kitchen, bathrooms, etc. Great for a quick get-a-way or a week-long (or longer) vacation. The owners are extremely nice and helpful as well. I spoke to Doug several times before and during our stay, great owner and takes pride in their property. We'll definitively be staying at this chalet again!

Communication was so easy with Doug. He was available for any and all of our questions. The chalet was perfect for our family of 5. The kids loved having the upstairs to themselves. I loved the heated light in the bathroom! The lake was very quiet and relaxing but enough for our kids to play and have a blast! Kitchen was well stocked and we loved having the ice maker. Can't wait to go back!

We had an amazing getaway at this beautiful property! The cabin is adorable with easy access to the lake. Perfect for swimming and relaxing! Our host was kind, sent a welcome letter that was very informative and answered any questions we had! We hated to leave!!

Four adults and three little ones had a great time on this property. Owner was quick to help us with an issue we had. Take advantage of the beach and kayaks! But make sure you bring indoor activities if you’re stuck inside with kids (we lucked out with the weather). And if you have a FireStick, bring it. Helped us with movie and tv show choices during our down time. :-)

We enjoyed every moment of our two family get away on this beautiful tranquil lake. Very well run property and great communication, clean and tidy with everything we needed at our finger tips from the time we arrived. We all wish we were still there! Highly recommended!!

We had a small family gathering for my wife's birthday. The cabin was great! Perfect directions from the host, immediate response from the host, even at 9pm when we had a question. The lake front with the canoes was amazing, we couldn't get my father-in-law with his son's off the lake fishing! Everyone was sad to leave this amazing experience and wonderful times!

Owner is friendly and available. This is a chill cozy cabin on a small lake perfect for canoeing with my young children. About 45 minutes from downtown St.Louis. Only 8 minutes from Cedar Lake Cellars. The community is gated and we felt very safe during our stay. The cabin is clean and well kept. The radiant warmer in the bathroom is a game changer! My kids had me warming their clothes in the bathroom every morning 🤣. We LOVED our stay. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Relaxing retreat

The house is updated and beautiful. Plenty of room for our family of 5. The private deck and access to Lake St. Gallen was ideal. Added bonus of being able to use the canoes! Will recommend to friends.

We're very fortunate to have found such a peaceful getaway. The house was well maintained and had everything a family needs. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a break from it all.

Beautiful, clean, and cozy property. Our family of four had a great time fishing, canoeing, spending time around the fire, and playing games inside. It was the perfect long weekend getaway we needed to recharge. The owners were wonderful and always quick to respond. We will be back!

House was very nice. Nice newly updated kitchen. We stayed Sunday-Thursday. We only had 1 day of sunshine so we were stuck in the house most of the stay. The restaurants were not open during the week so that stunk a little. Very relaxing place and very quiet get-a-way

My husband and I brought our boys (4 and 2) for a long weekend. It was great! The best part was the easy lake access. We enjoyed swimming right in front of the house and fishing off the dock. We took a canoe for the very short trip to the public beach access. My husband and the boys even swam back from the beach once. We have used VRBO to stay at several lakes within Innsbrook and this one is really nice. I would stay here again. Communication with the owners was great as well.

We truly enjoyed our trip for our family vacation. The cottage was clean and exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t get enough of the lake and the kayaks. The beach on the lake is great and perfect for young kids and elderly parents to sit and relax and perfect in the afternoon as the sun gets past the trees. My daughter and her BFF want to go back and spent 2 full days outside (win) we could hardly get her out of a kayak, which is so much better than her nose being in her phone. My wife even commented on how clean the cabin is and she is a super germaphobe ! The path down to the lake and the deck/dock are well kept and great for elderly parents who have some trouble walking. We felt relaxed and enjoyed being secluded. Even though there are other homes on the lake they are so spread out that you really feel like you have a private lake.

Our whole family had a great time! The location and view were fantastic! We spent most of our time on the dock fishing and in the canoes. Great property and great communication with the owners. We will definitely be back!!
