The location is near to trails and close to restaurants. Kayak in the channel & you encounter turtles, pelicans, dolphin and an occasional manatee. Amazing!!! House is nicely appointed, clean, comfortable. Rick is responsive and definitely a premier host. Thanx so much for a relaxing, enjoyable stay. Definitely on our return list. :-)

great waterfront location, relaxing. Enjoyed the outside area by the water and the kayaks. House is very clean and has everything you need. My daughter worked from "home" with no problems. Would stay here again.

We were impressed with the home, its cleanliness and furnishings. Very comfortable for 4 adults. Local restaurants were average; the Hudson Brewery had an amazing selection of local craft beers. However, due to an extended rainstorm and high tide, the entire VRBO property was flooded about 12” on our last morning. This is a very low-lying area. It was unsettling watching the water rise up the front steps at 5 am, but with an inch to go, outgoing tide, and rain ending, the waters began to recede. I wish the owner had called us rather than emailed us the night before, informing us of the potential for flooding in the area. We did not get the email until much later, after the event.

This was my first VRBO stay and this experience has set the bar very high. Property Manager was extremely responsive. The property was amazing. So clean and all the amenities you need to make you feel like you are home away from home. Beds are comfortable and plenty of blankets. Wildlife was great. All kinds of birds. We say Manatees daily and even experienced a couple dolphins go in and out of the canal. Can't say enough about this beautiful oasis.

Everything was exactly as expected & then some. This is a beautiful home, well thought out. There wasn't anything we wished we had. The sunrises were absolutely beautiful. There was so much life all around us, dolphins, manatee, pelicans & heron along with some cute playful squirrels.. Not to mention good fishing. We were there 30 minutes & my son caught a 4 foot gar! We also caught needle fish, flounder & lizard fish. We will definitely be back.

Check in process was seamless and easy, we really liked how clean and organized the property was. Everything was as advertised and we
will be back next year. No more new port richey hotels for us, we are spoiled now by this place. Kayaks and life jackets were a nice touch also. You can tell the owner takes great pride in the property, great stay.

We had a good stay! The house was clean and open with everything we needed. We spent most of our time on the porch or outside. I found out I'm not as good at horseshoes as I once was. We meet locals Bill and Carl who gave us good suggestions on where to eat. I won't hesitate to rent this house again.

The house was amazing good for six but we was only two. The area is quite with some bars and restaurants around. We leaving very relaxed and unfortunately we have to haeding back to cold Germany soon. Many thanks to the owner Rick which was immediately helping us. One may the owner has think about to present a Gasgrill instead of the charcoal Grill. But this is a only minor think we use the charcoal grill and was satisfied. Any time again with Rick. Sincerely Uli and Birte.

The home was beautifully renovated, situated at the end of the street so 2 sides of the yard face the canal. Lovely home, comfortable king bed, cold A/C, and very clean inside. My husband enjoyed (attempted, ha) fishing from the yard & from the 2 docks. I really enjoyed the large screened in porch during the day and evening. There were some fun tiki-type restaurants nearby for when we didn't want to prepare our own food. We would definitely return and stay here again!

We Absolutely Loved our stay , and would do it all over again ! Beautiful house on the water with breathtaking views ! Inside of house was immaculate ! Very clean and exceptional ! Thank you for a great time and memory for our family ! 5 stars all the way around *****😀 We all loved the kayaks and fishing right out the front door , as well as playing games and puzzles inside , or just watching a movie on hot or rainy days !

This place was amazing! Great views with the bonus boat ramp right next door!! Our boys enjoyed kayaking and fishing in the canal as we did watching them. Also, their neighbor across the street was very nice and knowledgeable with the area. Lastly, the host was very nice and it was nice meeting him.
The only thing I wish they had was a chest freezer, for bait. But the place is amazing and we would stay there again!

The house was great but the location even better. Located right on the canal, this location was a dream for my visitors. The said that even on the hottest day, the breeze off the water through the screened porch made the place seem 20 degrees cooler. No complaints or suggestions at all, other than try this property out.

Enjoyed our stay, property was as advertised. Easy check in. Made good use of the kayaks and horseshoe pit. Good communication with Rick, the host. Nice location, close to Ice cream store and restaurants.

First question I always ask myself, would I return? Absolutely!! Beautiful and so very comfortable. We had an issue, beyond the owners control, we worked around it. Otherwise perfect!!!

My family and I, which includes my wife and 4 kids (15, 12, 7, 5), stayed at this property for 4 days. It was an incredible experience. Everything listed in the property description was accurate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. House was great and fishing on the canal was perfect. Neighbor lent his fishing skills to us. It was quiet and we enjoyed the birds, fish, and dolphins that we saw. Disappointing that we didn’t see any manatees……next time. Thanks, Rick

The location is amazing! House immaculate. Incredible views. Saw dolphins from house daily. Kayaking to the gulf and exploring was the highlight. We would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed this property for many reasons. The location is incredible, just a few feet from the Gulf of Mexico. We are birders, so we really enjoyed seeing a variety of water birds right on the property and in the boat channel a few feet away. We saw a number of manatees, too.
The house was very comfortable. We felt that the hosts paid a lot of attention to detail. For example, this was one of the few places we've stayed out (out of many dozens) that had a kitchen fan that actually vented to the outside. The patio screening was in perfect shape, so we could sit out there after a busy day and relax with no insects. We also really enjoyed being able to load/unload our car directly into the house.
Communication with the host was very good.

This was our 4th stay here. We love returning to the same property; it’s like going home. We enjoy simply sitting out in the front yard and enjoying the birds and the solitude. It’s a very quiet area with a huge yard for playing. There’s also a grilling area. And, of course, we love riding in the kayaks! We can’t wait to go back!

This is a lovely, quiet, and clean place to stay. There are tons of birds and a beautiful sunset to enjoy on the huge lanai. We loved every minute of staying here and will be back!

This is a wonderful house. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The current was too strong while we were there to safely use the kayaks. I did catch a couple of catfish and 1 ugly toadfish, lol. Loved the screened in tables and chairs. Grilled out and played horseshoes (had to cheat, too far apart). Great time for all 5 adults!

Not a ton to do in Hudson, we ended up driving quite a bit. Best beaches are about an hour away near Clearwater. Honeymoon Island was a nice trip! However, the house and property is really nice. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking with the provided gear. There is a bait shop just down the road. The dock is nice and kayaks are easy to put in at the ramp. Spent several days just enjoying the house. Sam's Beach Bar was really good. Met a few neighbors and they were all very nice. There is a view of the ocean off the porch that is beautiful at sunset. Mornings are great for watching the birds on the canal and in the yard.

The owner was quick to respond with any questions and communicated well through the whole booking process.
This house was very clean and well-stocked with almost everything you’d need. The only feedback I have is to install a mirror in each bedroom as bathrooms are not connected.
If you’re bringing a boat, there’s not a ton of space for the truck and trailer but we made it work. Also be aware the tide has about a five foot swing this time of year (mid July), which is just Mother Nature so stay in the channels and close to the sea wall. The owner gave us a heads up about this and was much appreciated! The dock and cleaning station were perfect for cleaning our scallops each day. Overall, this was a perfect spot for our long weekend get-away.
