Excellent four bedroom 4 1/2 bath home in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of wildlife, only a few miles from the 12 mile curvy road to the slopes

This is the perfect stay for people who want to be close enough to town for a trip to the shops but far away enough to enjoy quiet nights staring at the stars. Perfect size for our group of friends with room to spare.

We had the best time & by far the house was very comfortable & nice. Very spacious & everyone has their own bathroom. A BIG plus. Had everything we needed for a get away.

The cabin is located in a very nice neighborhood. Lots of deer, elk and turkeys around the neighborhood. The cabin is very spacious for a big family and the decorations are beautiful. The kitchen is fully FULLY stocked (everything you need to cook and even more, it even has 2 microwaves and 2 ovens). The dishwasher was perfect for us. Bathrooms are in great shape, very clean and we always had hot water. Beds are super confortable and they even have two firmness types of pillows which worked perfect for us. The pack-n-play and the high chair worked grear for our baby. We loved the cabin, we hope to come back soon.

This house is spacious and set up for a relaxing time! We enjoyed every bit of our experience and hope to be back soon!

The house was tidy and the beds comfortable. Every room having their own bathroom was GREAT! The area is so nice and close to all the popular spots. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to the area. We look forward to staying again in the future!

Had the best time at mountain escape, the home was lovely and spacious! Super clean and organized, kept well and we will be back! Love ruidoso, and we were in the perfect spot, middle of everything just about!

Awesome house, as always

The home was clean, spacious with comfortable beds. Each bedroom with it's own ensuite made the stay comfortable for all. The house has great spaces to hangout. The back porches whether up or down, great screened in area. The neighborhood is great for long walks with sightings of wildlife...wild horses, elk, wild turkeys, deer... it made a perfect getaway.

OMG. We have stayed at several places but this property was by far the best yet. Highly recommend. It was spacious and the beds were Great. Thank you for opening up your home to us. Katy/Texas

Our family just loved staying at this beautiful home in Alto! The kitchen had everything we needed, and all neatly labeled! Every bedroom had its own large bathroom, and there were plenty of beds. Beautiful deck and view, plus a nice, clean and large hot tub! The owner, Jan was very helpful, as well. Highly recommend this lovely home!!

We have stayed at numerous rentals over the years in Ruidoso but this is the first time we've stayed at the same place twice. Glad we did. The house is well stocked and well suited for tall families to meet together (3 king sized beds on main level and top floors). Everyone commented "this is the perfect place." It was.

It was cleaner and better kept up then a lot of places we have stayed at, we really enjoyed our stay!

What an amazing home! There was plenty of room for all 8 of us. We sat on the beautiful deck, cooked on the grill and enjoyed the hot tub! Can’t wait to come back!

Found a hidden camera in the living room which is not allowed at Vrbo properties. Submitted a complaint for invasion of privacy with nothing done by Vrbo or the property so be aware of your kids and personal privacy at this location. Otherwise place was great.

We had a great time staying at this property. It’s a beautiful place in a beautiful neighborhood. It’s a little bit of a drive (not too long) to get to town but it’s worth it. The house itself had everything we needed. The property owner was very communicative. I would highly recommend this cabin to others.

The house is exactly as described - beautiful. We have VRBO'd many homes in various parts of country and having basic pantry items and supplies in stock makes it super convenient. The rooms are large and having 4 king beds with on suite bathrooms is quite comfortable. Saw wild horses, turkey and deer. Heard owls are night. Only complaint on house would be the heat - with all the windows, the common areas run cold - thermostats in hallways and when they on, the bedrooms and bathrooms way too toasty. air blasts - would be nice to be able to close some vents. The fireplace is pretty but offers zero heat. Our other guests found pillows too thick and dense. Options are always nice. We had never been to Ruidoso and had planned Spring Break skiing. Turns out we got lucky with the weather - started warm and slushy day 1 but got unexpected snow and cooler on mountain and turned into another great 3 days. Beware of surge pricing on all skiing - lifts and rentals. If you expect the 15 miles to Ski Apache an easy drive, you'd be disappointed. It is a windy twisty narrow road and signs at entry said "chains required" on one of the colder, snowy, windy days. We had 4WD and went fine but if you squeamish about on the edge of slope driving - not for you. Plan on going to slopes for the day - not easy or quick driving back and forth to house. A super vacation overall - I try to put in reviews what I wish I had known before we booked the trip. Thanks!

Great location! We were close to all the attractions we visited. Very nice comfortable home with large spaces. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. Highly recommend this home if you are looking for a place to stay in the area. You will not be disappointed. Thank you we had a great time and made memories that will be in our hearts for the rest of ours lives.

Our stay included 2 families- 4 adults, 2- 5 year olds, 3 year old, and infant. The house is fabulous. We all felt it was designed with renting in mind. Every bedroom had a en suite, and a half bath downstairs on the main floor. All the rooms had plenty of space to move around. The kids loved the basement set up. The main living area has the perfect amount of space for everyone to enjoy. The kids found the games right away! This has been the only rental we have stayed that had a great selection of games and kid toys, plus the high chair and pack and play was a nice too. I liked that everything was labeled so we didn't have to guess. I was skeptical at first about the wildlife, but that too did not disappoint. We did get to experience seeing the wild horses, elk, turkeys and even mule deer. We went to the tube park- if you go during the holiday season it is best to pre purchase tickets. They were sold out days in advance. We enjoyed Ruidoso and the local parks with the kids. Both families would like to express our sincere thanks to Jan and family for her quick responses to all our questions. I appreciated your guidebook and all the directions. As for the camera- there is no camera INSIDE the house, there is one outside on the main door. The owner is upfront and clear about the main door camera. Coming from a law enforcement family, this is one thing we do check for at the house, we appreciate the honesty of the owners on this matter. Thank you for sharing your house with us and letting us celebrate 2023. We hope to be back again soon.

Had a great time for our first trip to New Mexico. This place was great to stay and perfect for our family!

This home was perfect for a family trip. It had every amenity we needed. The television in the living room is a Smart TV. We tend to travel with our family room Apple TV because the apps we use are already logged into. The living room television had an HDMI cable running from the back of the tv to the front. Not needing to search for an open HDMI port on the back of the tv was very convenient. This beautiful home would be great for friends traveling together as well. It is hard to find (4) King Bedrooms , (4) Ensuite Baths, plus a half bath off of the Living Area. The weather was too cold for my group to enjoy the two outdoor sitting/dining areas. Some of my family used the hot tub in the evenings before bedtime. The two outdoor areas would be perfect for late Spring, Summer, and Fall. The kitchen is well equipped. Perfectly sized pantry for groceries. RO system setup at the kitchen sink. The master bed was extremely comfortable. I heard no complaints concerning the other beds. We had access to the garage which is not always the case when renting a home. On Thanksgiving morning (19) wild turkeys paraded across the front of the property. My almost two year old grandson enjoyed seeing the resident deer, wild turkeys, and wild horses. The homeowner is quick to respond to questions.

The house is very large and beautiful. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The outside area is very nice.

We stayed here for my wedding weekend with my bridesmaids. It was a wonderful house! Everyone had their own space, giant beds, and a beautiful living room to hang out in! My photographer loved the house so much that we used it for some of our photos! Thank you for hosting us!

This was exactly as advertised and we enjoyed it even more! It was perfect for our party of 8, which was 4 adults and 4 kids ranging from 17-3 years old. We would recommend to anyone and hopefully can stay here again in the future!
