The location, and overall comfort we made out of it
The staff wasn’t really visible. Outdated, and rooms weren’t totally clean. Baseboards were dirty, no mops to clean for ourselves. Peoples stuff was there before us, we found dirty socks under the couch.

Good location
Spider webs in shower, lights in bedrooms wouldn’t turn off, haunted.

The property itself has potential if taken care of.
I did not like the bats in my first cabin. The staff knew of this problem and “thought they fixed it” but didn’t verify before putting us in there. If we woke up to a bat we would have had to have rabies shots. The second cabin they moved us to had black mold under the kitchen sink and a unsafe wall heater. No one answered the emergency line provided so I called the gas company myself. My family was out on the lawn in the middle of the night until the gas company turned off the gas and it was safe. We did not sleep and left the next day. The hotel refused to give us our money back. There were other things like the foggy pool and broken jacuzzi as well as no ping pong table or pool table as pictured. But overall our safety and health take precedence.

I liked that it was a close proximity to the stores and shops. It was clean and very hospitable. The managers were friendly and let us have a good time.
The hours of the pool were inconvenient for our stay.

Location and friendly staff
Needs renovation, was expecting better bbq grill. Bedrooms need clothing hooks and/ or clothes bar. Kitchen pots and saucepan overused and handles broken.

Location was great! Quiet and peaceful. Grounds were well kept. Cabin was nice and cozy
Cabin was a little small but has everything you need

The heater worked well. Good size and comfortable bed.
Although this room covered our basic needs for a warm place to stay during our trip, there were a number of issues that affected our comfort and satisfaction. First, our first encounter when we called to say we are arriving a bit early, there was an immediate and blunt response about the extra $25/hr for early check-in, which is not really standard practice at most places. Second, the wifi was spotty and barely worked the entire time. Third, we were under the impression that there were some basic kitchen items, there was only one knife and no dish soap, yet the expectation was for us to wash dishes that we used per guidelines. Lastly, the photos did not reflect that there would be shared walls, it was difficult for us who were in a pet-friendly room.

great location near everything
room wasn’t clean at all very dirty floors ants everywhere and dishes were not clean

location was great , staff was great, kids enjoyed jacuzzi. I heard peta around so it’s pet friendly Beds were comfy
I understood there’s a cleaning fee, but for a couple days stay I wld need my floors swept or moped during my stay , it was snowy outside and there was no carpet to wipe out feet so our floors were messy, we had to dump our own trash to outside bins and ask for new bags ..I ended up asking for a broom… kitchen has very little cooking supplies I wld just need to be more prepared next time..beds were good and they provided warm thick blankets and staff answered request very quickly.

Staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the heater worked very well.
Kitchenware was extremely minimal, which made it difficult to cook and eat. Expectations weren't met as images online were very different from what we got.

mostly clean and quiet.
the curtains were very thin and the light on the property was so bright in the upstairs bedroom. The bathroom didnt have a bathmat and the floors were slippery after a shower.
3.9
The property had a comfy couch and warm water.
The beds looked slept in, stove had stains, dishes had stains, ants everywhere in the living room, towels smelled like mildew (probs were just hanged up), pathways were covered in snow and ice, no dish soap, couch was ripped from the back (took pictures as proof it was like that before we came), some outlets do not work, found trash of candy and a shoe under the bed, crumbs under the couch, toilet looked dirty, and they expect you to do their job with the cleaning, trash, and bed fixing.
3.9
The cabin was very cozy. The bed was really comfortable, had its own kitchen, dinning room, and living room. The bathroom has a heater for those cold winter mornings. Perfect for a solo traveler.
Didn't find anything I didn't like about my stay at the grey squirrel.

We love the ambiance of the place. We had the Cozy cabin and it was cute.
The place need to be renovated. The floor upstairs are dirty. The floor in the entrance way have water damage. Bathroom is little small.

homie cabin, comfy and warm. water pressure in showers are great.
i booked a different cabin, advertised as a 5 bedroom cabin with 3 single bed rooms and 2 double bed rooms. we received a 3 bedroom cabin with a 3-bed room and 2 double bed rooms. also sheet asked for dishes to be clean when we leave but no sponge was provided in there or dishwasher. although a towel cloth was given later, it’s not the same.

location was close to big bear mountain resort.
not clean, not equipped and no hot water in December. staff admitted they knew there was a problem with the water but rented out the unit anyway. very disappointed.
3.9
Convenient kitchen, wood burning fireplace, jacuzzi tub in the room, comfortable mattress.
There was no sofa to watch TV, only two chairs that weren't very comfortable. The TV was small and set up in a corner too far from the bed. The bathroom was freezing. The jacuzzi tub was a nice selling point but it takes up too much space in the room. The outside of the cabin and the grounds were pretty beat up.

the Location was great.
First, the check-in experience was not okay. they made it modern but made it seem old fashioned. it would be nice if they will just send us message that we can check in remotely. Since the check in hours is only from 4-6 pm. I just wished that they would have made extra mile given the condition that day since it was raining all late afternoon to evening!
I have called to check-in at 3:40 and unfortunately the lady said that check in starts at 4pm. Nothing more. Given the situation, at the time of my call since the cabin was keyless, she should have told us the other information that I need. Big Bear is far, and a little consideration of our time travel ( holiday traffic) and tiredness will be appreciated. Hence, I was asked to come back, of course we were hungry so we went to get dinner. Considering the holiday schedule, we experienced a long waiting before we got seated and we missed out the Grey Squirrel check in policy.
the property needs renovation. it was okay but kinda dark. the names of the cabin does not have light so it was kinda hard to locate especially during the evening and when it’s raining. I am not satisfied at all, the value of money is not equal to the whole experience of our stay.
the Towels seemed not clean although they were, maybe it’s because of the color.(green)

The sheets were not clean. And heating didn't work on the second night, and there was no constant hot water in the shower

Good location, very convenient!
The water heater is very unstable and the hot water is always off.
Small bathroom, can't turn around to take a shower!
The carpet and bath towels are not clean and there is a lot of dirt in the corners!
