the house was beautiful. A little smaller than we thought but still beautiful. We enjoyed the view and easy access to the beach. A few things: not enough towels and no extra blankets. There were cobwebs everywhere inside and out. The floors were dirty - almost like they weren’t cleaned before we got there.

Great location. Saw lots of dolphins and pelicans. Everything we needed was provided.

My favorite home in Encinitas. Glorious views of the ocean from uncovered deck spanning the entire width of the house. Surfstyle very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

Our family enjoyed our stay, the house is cozy, comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for an ocean front winter vacation in San Diego. The checkin and checkout was easy, communication with Surf Style Vacation Homes management was a breeze. A five star stay nicely earned!

Beautiful house! We love being able to walk to the ocean from the house, the patio was huge, the beds were comfortable, and the host was helpful & professional.

Pros: If the main thing you want from your stay is a great view, this property definitely has that. It ended up raining most of our stay, so we didn’t get to take advantage of the deck area as much as we would have liked, but the view was still great. Hearing the waves was relaxing. Comfortable mattress & bedding in master bedroom. Communication from management was good and timely. Self-check-in/out was smooth. Cons: Older property that needs updating & maintenance. Older furnishings (some in bad shape). Walls & doors need repainting. Inside seating very limited and not very comfortable. Cannot sit up on one side of the master bedroom bed without leaning against a window blind. Most kitchen drawers looked like junk drawers - everything thrown in & a number of items appeared either dirty or rusty. Cabinets & drawers are push to open type, but the majority were difficult to open. No basic kitchen supplies like ziplock bags, Saran Wrap, foil or Tupperware-type containers. The dishwasher is a two drawer-style, nice for small loads but you end up doing at least 2x the loads. Not enough pods to cover a minimum 2 loads/day were supplied. For the price point, I would expect a better maintained and stocked property. Other items to know: The TV set up is awkward. Window blinds only - no draperies to keep light out. Be prepared for natural light very early (we were awake before 6 am each day due to the light). We may have missed it in the property description but be aware the beach access gate is shared. You may have people walking across the deck at random times, able to see into your property. The driveway is very steep, so scraping your car is an issue. It will also be a very tight fit for 2 cars unless they are both smaller in size.

A very beautiful location in a wonderful neighborhood . Views forever and very relaxing. The home was very clean and had what we needed.

We really enjoyed our time here and plan to come back. The views over the ocean are spectacular as are the sunsets. The outside space is what makes this rental special. The beach house needs some updating but was very clean with comfortable beds. Surf Style rental company responded quickly when contacted. I asked them to pass on to the owners that a couple of outdoor side tables for putting drinks and snacks on would be a welcome addition to the deck area . I would definitely recommend this rental.
