Loved the unit, view, access to the ocean and location. So many whales to see from the lanai - plus it's in the shade during the hottest part of the day - a plus for whale watching ( thank you for the use of the binoculars). Absolutely recommend!

Property is quiet with no beach in front of condos. View is phenomenal. Only glitch is that the pocket door to the bathroom is stuck and does not close. (As you can imagine my wife was not too keen on that) Other than that, it was a great stay and location on west end of island was great.

We had an agent contact us and they showed the condo twice during our visit. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time. The agent was very nice and worked around our schedule

Beach gears are provided. This makes it super easy to just go and enjoy the many beaches nearby. Wish more toilet paper was provided.

Overall, a nice place to stay. Beautiful ocean front view of Molokai. No AC, but usually good cross breeze when all door are open and fans are running. Pullout couch was a surprisingly good bed. Nice firm mattress. Good response time from propriety management in response to problems/questions. Unfortunately, the pocket door of bathroom was broken and they ended up putting up a curtain in for privacy. A bit of an inconvenience. Still awaiting a response for our request for compensation. Overall, a nice place to stay.

10 seconds access to the beach, 24/7 ocean waves' soothing sound makes our stays in Maui a miracle. The homeowner and property managers are taking care of every details: including full set kitchen, enough towels, binoculars, bandaids, even Non-Drowsy Naturals Motion Sickness Relief Capsules (although we didn't use it, highly appreciate it). There is a yummy restaurant only 30 seconds away. This makes me stay away from those high end luxury resorts, where beach access is still several minutes away, and food choices are pricy and feels like be prepared by robots, not human. This place is humble, homy, feels like human touches everywhere, not managed by machine!

Absolutely love this property and condo! Our favorite spot was the lanai! The views are magical! Rainbows everyday. Butterflies, whales breaching in the distance, turtles, crabs, a wide variety of birds and fish. The condo area is clean and mostly quiet (few screaming kids) residence are super friendly. I would come back to Kahana Reef every year!

We just spent a week at this beautiful oceanfront condo. Everything was awesome! The check in process was easy, very clear instructions. We enjoy listening to the ocean wave every day! Even though there’s no AC, you don’t really need it bc there’s a constant breeze. Everything you need is in the condo. It’s a great location and close to a lot of great restaurants and nice beaches. We will definitely stay there again!

Definitely will be back for two more weeks next March. Saw over 50 whales from our 2nd story condo one unit from the North end of the building.. The temperature in the 70's all week was awesome. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Unit about 30 feet from the water and the sandy beach.

The view from the deck is everything. Beautiful to eat breakfast out there and start every day that way. Gorgeous views of Molokai and Lanai from the apartment. I chose this part of the island because it’s supposed to be the sunniest and that it was every day. There was a fully stocked kitchen that was so useful for preparing sandwiches or making smoothies. I can see how this part of the island isnt for everyone as it felt a little quieter and not as many facilities (restaurants, etc) but honestly we preferred it this way and were open to driving to places and returning to our quiet spot. The bed was so lovely and comfortable. I used the laundry facilities a couple times which you can download an app to pay for. All just very smooth and easy. Everything was very clean. Spotless but you can tell cuz it’s a hot climTe that you also have to be mindful of leaving food out, etc. We put all our food scraps in a brown bag in the freezer and put food we would normally leave out in the fridge. We did not experience the ant issue people talk about in other reviews. The place was very comfortable honestly I think better than the photos give it credit for. Maui is a gorgeous island and I’m excited for your trip here! 🌺

The location was perfect for our party of two. The condo is a little dated and the carpet flooring is need of a change, but overall the place is delightful. They have all the things one would like to have while visiting Maui, well stocked throughout (beach gear and chairs, binoculars, a couple of beach towels, etc.). However, the second floor lanai steals the show, as the 180 degree views are hard to leave, the sunsets breathtaking. In February / March one can watch for whales for hours, and the local turtles feed on the seawall lichens just feet away. Go, enjoy, and return...

We had a great experience! First of all, you’re right on the ocean. In the living room you can sit and listen to the waves, or sit on the lanai and watch humpback whales during whale season. There’s a small sandy beach only steps away. The snorkeling isn’t as great as nearby beaches, but there is some reef and fish right outside. One night I snorkeled and saw a sea turtle. Only a few miles north is Kapalua Bay, where we saw about 15 turtles while snorkeling over the course of two trips. The building itself is a mix of residents and vacation units. It was really quiet while we were there, although that may depend on other groups renting the other units. Parking is easy, as there were plenty of spots available. The unit was clean, and everything needed for cooking/sleeping/beach was available. We are very happy that we stayed here rather than more expensive resorts down the road. You’re closer to the water, have more space, and easier in/out when you’re heading to the beach. Highly recommended!

We had such a fun time here, the view was gorgeous and the beach was very nice too. We especially liked that this condo was very equipped. There's a lot of beach equipment, kitchen equipment, and bathroom equipment. When we arrived, we looked out the balcony and there was a beautiful rainbow right in front of us. When we left there was also a gorgeous rainbow. My family of 4 had such a pleasant stay, definitely recommend.

We will rent this place again if come to Maui.

Our flight arrived into Maui late night and it had been a long day. Just looking forward to a nice shower and good night sleep. Bottom line. Sheets were dirty along with hairs in the bed and the bathroom had not been cleaned. I actually had to go to the quick mart and buy shower cleaner and cleaned the bathroom myself. Then we slept on top of the bedding. Called the next morning to get service. “Sorry” they will be around sometime today! We have stayed at VRBO properties all over the world. This is the first for a poor rating! Top of that we still paid the cleaning fee!!

The condo was lovely and enjoyed the ocean view and sounds. The building and amenities such as loungers could use some updating.

The condo exceeded our expectation - it is extremely well maintained and is all aspects (carpet, furniture, appliances, kitchen, etc) all appear to be from a fairly recent renovation. The place was immaculate when we arrived. We greatly enjoyed being right on the ocean and sleeping to the sounds of the waves each night. The complex was very quiet, we only heard others a couple of times during our stay - nothing very loud. We found a few restaurants within easy walking distance, including a Maui Brewing Company restaurant which was a favorite. We made a few trips to Lahaina, a short 15 minute drive away. A small beach is directly adjacent to the condo, we didn't go into the water there, but saw several people snorkeling at the far end and swimming. Becky was quick to respond to all of our questions, both pre-stay and when we were in the condo. We highly recommend this unit for anyone looking to stay on this part of the island, especially for anyone wanting to be directly on the water.

Our stay was wonderful. We have visited the other islands more frequently and it had been over 40 years since we have been to Maui. But this experience was fantastic and really started with this property as the center of it. The view was incredible. We saw whales from our lanai every day. The unit is spotless and we greatly appreciated the use of 2 different size coolers, beach chairs, boogey board and all of the kitchen utensils you would ever need. There was even binoculars there for whale watching. Never used the pool since the beach was only 20 feet from the building. But used the community BBQ which was brand new. It was also great to park not less than 50 feet from the unit. With the trade winds you don't need A/C. We would often close doors and windows to regulate the breeze. But it was perfect. Being on the second floor we always had the sliding door open so that we had the surf noise all of the time. This was perfect. We don't hesitate to recommend for those wanting to get away from the big bustling resorts to a quiet retreat. Will be back every time we come to Maui. Mahalo to the owners and property managers.

This property was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and comfortable and we were impressed with the generosity of having use of coolers, beach chairs and pool towels. The view from the balcony was truly breath taking, and we enjoyed every sunset. It was too hot during our stay to want to stay in and cook, but the kitchen was well stocked with the dishes and appliances you'd need to do that. We would recommend this property to friends and family.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely LOVED IT! They had everything from dishes, toiletries, beach/picnic equipment, and the list goes on. If we come to Maui again, we will DEFINITELY book this condo.

We couldn’t be happier with where we got to spend our vacation in Maui! The condo was spotless, comfortable, quite swanky, smelled amazing, and had everything we needed (including a grill and plentiful cooking utensils), and the view from the lanai of the sunset over Molokai every night was spectacular. The location was close to the highway and minutes from great beaches in every direction, some of which fronted high end resorts costing 4-5x as much, but this spot was blissfully quiet at night. Not sure when we’ll be back to Maui, but when we come back, this is the first place I’ll look to stay. Thank you and mahalo!

Aloha! My husband and I spent the final 3 days of our honeymoon at Kahana Reef 221. The unit was spotless and well appointed with all the toiletries, beach towels, and cooking utensils we needed. The ocean view is to die for. We saw the most beautiful sunsets on our trip while here. The beach access is perfect as well. We snorkeled one day and saw so many sea turtles! During high tide, they feed on the seawall just in front of the property. You can walk over there at any time and see 3-5 turtles. Having stayed at Napili Bay earlier in our trip, I was not as excited about this beach as it was rocky. It was however, wonderful for finding sea glass and walking up and down. It is definitely not crowded. There weren't more than 5 people at a time on the beach which made it feel like a reprieve from vacation-goers. The beach is "swimmable" though. Little children were swimming with their parents and enjoying the sunshine. We ate in one night and walked around the corner to Maui Brewing Company the other night. Overall, we LOVED this place and would definitely stay here again! Mahalo for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful condo with all the amenities. The ocean view was to die for. Having the beach right there was an added plus since we had all four of our grandchildren here with us in another condo. We all had such a great time

Property was well maintained with easy access to main roads. Our condo was very comfortable, quiet and welcoming. Laundry facility, pool, and a little beach were bonuses.

We loved every moment of our stay in Kahana Reef 221. We were there just shy of 2 weeks and we spent hours every day watching the whales - the most incredible show being on our last day where we watched them jump, tail slap, fin slap and just hang out right in front of the condo for most of the day. At one time we counted 7 whales that we were watching! The condo itself is more beautiful in person than the pictures make it out to be and you can’t match the view from the lanai. The decor is beautiful - every detail has a Hawaiian taste. It was very nice! The kitchen is very well stocked - anything you could possible need is there. I had a lot of fun cooking! The bedroom is a great size, we fit a travel crib easily in there. The bed is super comfy (I usually have back issues if the bed is too soft or too hard and it was perfect). The fan makes it quite cool in the bedroom at night - as we had my Mom sleeping on the sofa bed (which is quite comfortable as well), we closed the door at night and lost the ocean breeze but we were cool enough. If you’re concerned about no AC, don’t be, once the lanai and the front door are open (there is a screen door for each), the breeze make it very nice and cool. The beach chairs, coolers and towels made for convenient outings! There are a few small boogie boards there but they seem to be broken in half. We contributed a baby shark umbrella stroller to the beach closet :) Once outside, we loved the grass area with the lawn chairs, there is a little beach beside the condo that was fantastic for lounging if it’s not high tide and the ocean is quite shallow. It can get quite wavy when a NW swell comes in but we loved watching the waves. Our baby preferred the swimming pool over the ocean so we spent some time here as well and the pool was great. I had rented a SUP and learned that the storage racks for the kayaks / boards are for owners only so the property manager instructed us to store the SUP outside our front door. It was quite a challenge to bring it up the stairs each night but we made it. Overall, we would stay here again in a heartbeat. The view and location are truly unbeatable and then the condo is an absolute gem. Don’t look any further, this is a perfect Maui condo!

Close to all the best beaches of West Maui. Well-equipped kitchen, all appliances in great working order and nice plate ware and silverware. Had everything we needed, included dishwashing soap and plenty of towels. Quiet, clean and relaxing. Highly recommend!
