The view was exceptional! Besides all the boats we saw whales, deer, otters and seals. The sunsets were beautiful. We loved our time on the deck. It's true that house is a little tired and the kitchen is dated, but that did not really distract from our stay. The house was very clean and well stocked, and the hot tub very well maintained. We have stayed in many rentals and would rate this one very high.

Reviewer Comments: Let's start with the good parts - the property had an amazing location, the wifi worked, hot tub was good, and it was exceptionally clean. Loved the view, we lived outside on the deck. Now the challenges - 1) the bedrooms - does not sleep 8. There are two real beds, then pull outs. 2) Dated kitchen - while elements were quaint, the kitchen, dishes, etc are up for a major refresh - outside the pans - most other elements of the kitchen seemed to be from '70s or earlier. The outside seating areas were poorly maintained, trails to the water steep - this property has SO much potential, but lots of room for improvement.

We loved this cute mid-century modern home. Comfortable beds and furniture, and excellent decor — a bit quirky, a little science-y, with plenty of local pride and a little history in the mix. Books and games. Can we talk about the view? Water, islands, trees. So lovely and calming. Whether you’re relaxing in the living room, eating on the deck or chilling in the hot tub, you’ll be mesmerized by the view of the strait and Henry Island, with Canada visible in the distance. Location is near Roche Harbor, the sculpture garden, Snug Harbor (we did an awesome Crystal Seas kayak tour out of Snug Harbor resort), and the fantastic Westcott Bay Shellfish Co. Not too far from Lime Kiln State Park. Very near the alpaca farm, which we didn’t end up having time to visit — but you should. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc and also helpfully stocked with sugar, spices, salt. Bathrooms had hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and plenty of TP. Not the newest or fanciest house on the island - but comfy, casual, and full of character. I took so many photos of the cool decor. We loved our stay here.

The house location and views are outstanding. There was a surplus of cooking utensils, dishware, appliances, and bedding. The check in process was super easy and clear. One suggestion would be to have coffee on hand. Overall such a great stay, thank you very much!
