Cabin was exactly what we expected. Beautiful decor, secluded, and peaceful. The entire property was perfect for a quick stay and some water fun! I think the family enjoyed the Broad River down by the Hickory Nut Lower Lake. The cabin and its whimsical decor has my wife thinking of redecorating our house now, so I guess that's a win for Thomasina! The Bear Den was perfect! The proximity to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock gave us a couple of things to do, but we loved the ability to just relax at the cabin and nature watch from the back deck. We will definitely consider rebooking in the future. Oh, and as always LaStrada is a great place for Lunch, I knew Stan and his wife when they were in Charlotte.

Well appointmented home in Riverbend, clean, and quiet. We enjoyed the amenities within the community as well. Located conveniently to local sites in Lake Lure and Chimney Rock.

Great space for our large family. So much to do nearby, in fact some right in the neighborhood with the small lake, beach, and river access/ swimming hole. The house was clean and comfortable with anything you need including a well stocked kitchen. We would definitely stay here again!

Red Raven Cabin was beyond clean, comfortable, roomy, and equipped for our 4-night stay. Communication with the owner was top-notch: best I've ever had thru VRBO. The cabin sits at the end of a climbing, winding, gravel road. But: if our older Ford Edge could handle it, most other vehicles could as well. No keys necessary for entry=convenience. Ambiance and decor were warm and inviting. Furniture and beds were perfectly comfy with plenty of extra blankets; kitchen well-stocked for fixing meals (maybe add a colander/strainer to drain pasta?); and bathrooms decked out "hotel style," with mounted blow dryers and little toiletries. We watched a few movies on Netflix in the evenings (a treat to have a large cozy sofa, love seat and oversize chair to spread out on), and we enjoyed both porches and the gas grill as well. Lake Lure is a quaint, picturesque, well-maintained area. Just lovely. Cabin is 20-ish minutes from Chimney Rock State Park (a must do), and 40 mins to kayaking the Lower Green River. Grocery store ("Ingles"--amazing! not your small-town market---has everything and then some!) is maybe 8 minutes away at most, and the owner provides an Ingles "reward card" for renter's use. Now THAT'S taking care of the guest! Owner also provides a comprehensive digital guide that puts everything you need to know about renting Red Raven in one pretty little package. Loved it. From beginning to end a flawless experience. Highly, highly recommend! Thank you, Thomasina!
