We live in the valley and had a great stay up north. Killer location, historic home, and cozy stay. Thank you!

Loved this house, the location was perfect so close to downtown. The house was very cozy, loved how they remodeled this old house very well done.

Convenient location and comfortable space. The kitchen worked well and had what we needed. It's definitely an older house (floors are a bit uneven, etc) but the finishes are well updated, cozy and really great to be able to walk to restaurants and the rec path. Ski bus stops very nearby. Parking was tight for a compact SUV as we were sharing the space with two cars from the other unit. The parking area didn't seem to be signed which was a little confusing. It seems like the backyard is fenced & gated in the summer but the gate was off for the winter and the backyard is really just a walkway and the hot tub so this was less helpful to us than expected for our dog. We did not end up using the hot tub but guests of the other unit seemed to enjoy it. Would happily stay here again.

We had a great stay at Hiding Hood. Priscilla was a very helpful host that made our stay with our two kids very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

A quite charming old property located within 2 minutes from Elk Avenue and 4 minutes to 4-Stop, to catch the ski shuttle. Everything worked well. It was comfortable and warm and the snow cleaning service worked perfect.

Super close to elk Ave! I walked my infant to town in the stroller and carrier while my husband skied. It was great!

Loved the location!
A few concerns: Refrig. and freezer not working when we arrived, contacted Priscilla, she had her workman fix.
TV service never worked properly, even after someone came to help.Yard was always muddy and wet, too much sprinkler system.
No info. on the sheet about how to close house, strip beds, etc.

This place was perfect for a long weekend with 2 total couples. 4 min (or less) walk to everything in town, including bus stop to Mt. Crested Butte. Cozy cottage with hot tub. Thanks so much for the accommodations.

We enjoyed this cute older home. The kitchen had every thing we needed. It was conveniently located to downtown and the bus stop for Mt Crested Butte. My only suggestion would be it would have been nice to have throw blankets in the living room and Kleenex.

My husband and I got married in cb this weekend and this was the perfect landing spot for us! We were actually able to organize our friends staying next door so we all shared the great backyard and location. Very cool little cabin and the perfect size for us to get ready for the big day! A few blocks from elk Ave and right by the road up the the mountain! Hot tub was great and private from other neighbors and Priscilla was super quick to answer our call with the few questions we had for her. Will define staying next time we are in town :)

The building is unique and quaint, thoughtfully remodeled, a fun cabin-like getaway. The location is superb, close to Elk Avenue and walking distance to a grocery store. The parking spaces and washer/dryer were very convenient. Having the yard was great for our dog.. We appreciated that Priscila came immediately and sent help to fix the door problem. The only thing we would recommend is to fix the racks in the dishwasher—they did not stay on the tracks. Overall a great place to stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hiding Hood. We came for a week with two adults and three kids and there was just enough space for us. The location of this home is great - so close to everything! Just a few minutes to all the shops and restaurants Crested Butte has to offer. We also appreciated having a full fridge, coffee maker and washer and dryer. There are some low ceilings and the primary suite shower is on the small side, so maybe not ideal for larger people, but it worked great for our family. Would definitely recommend if you want to be in town!

Great authentic but updated property in downtown Crested Butte. Very convenient to walk to down and having a dedicated parking spot is very underrated in this town. Comfortable beds and linens.

Farewell to a friend
A group of friends from all over the country came together to spread a friends ashes last weekend. We rented both of the properties (Unit A "sleeps 6" and Unit B "sleeps 4"). The accommodations were fine, but not great.
Unit A should definitely be listed to sleep 4 adults and 2 kids, NOT 6 adults. The room with two twin beds is a joke.
Unit B should definitely be listed to sleep 2 adults and 2 kids. The "loft" doesn't even allow an average height adult to stand. It made even getting dressed a challenge. The bed on the main floor of Unit B is in such need of replacing that it was a challenge to get a nights sleep. We were sunk into two cavities in the mattress!!
The advertised hot tub was unfortunately so dirty, you couldn't even see the bottom. None of us chose to go in it!!
The owners have definitely taken time to fix these two historic cabins up. It seems that they care. Our group felt that we overpaid for what we received in this stay but we all agree with a few tweeks in listing and attention to detail, the property would go from "fine" to "excellent".

Talk about a convenient location. Access to Elk St. and to the Crested Butte Ski Bus. All walking distance! In the 4 days we were there, I did not drive once. Great times.A couple things:(1) the cleaning crew needs to learn how to clean: counters, floors, refrigerator, bathrooms, etc. needed recleaning when we arrived. My concern with Covid being around, I had expected better attention to detail on this. Plus, when you start a vacation, you don't want to spend 2 hours cleaning when just want to relax! (2) The hot tub was great! The path from the unit to the hot tub was a death trap! A solid sheet of ice. Would have bought some salt, but it appears this had built up over a long period of time.(3) Lastly, there were odds and ends throughout the unit that were needing assistance and repair (Pots and Pans need replacing, refrigerator seemed to have a mind of its own, loose fixtures in the restrooms)The 1st 2 items really are safety and COVID cleanliness rated. I would appreciate the owner or VRBO compensating me for my time to clean the unit upon arrival.

Cozy, quaint duplex is great location
Thanks for letting us stay at your place. We had some recommendations. There was no pot to cook and we planned to make chili. There was also no cookie sheet to heat stuff up in the oven which would have been nice with no microwave in the unit. A few plates in the cabinet were dirty with food on them so we did the dishes for you the night we got there. A bottle of rose was left upon arrival but there was no coffee. I think most people would prefer coffee over rose? We had coffee beans but there was no grinder. It was also pretty dusty in the couch cushions and behind the beds. We also didn’t realize the hot tub was shared with another unit. We really enjoyed staying in town and the cozy, quaint duplex was really located great. We just wanted to share some things that may improve the quality of the stay for future renters. Thanks!

Excellent spot
Everything about this property and location was great. There was a miscommunication with the code to get in the house upon arrival but that was just a minor setback.
