This was our 3rd time in the Manuel Antonio area, and by far, this is the best house we have stayed in. The house was spotless and very well furnished and our property manager, Alexander, was always available to answer any questions we had, as well as supplying us with the many things to do locally. The house has a spectacular view of the beach and ocean and you will find yourself just mesmerized by this view. Although hilly, you are a short walk to the beach and local restaurants and food shopping. Would highly suggest renting a car, if your adverse to hills though. Thank you for a great stay Alexander and we will certainly be back to this property!!

This house was an amazing experience. Monkeys in the trees, a resident sloth, and birds galore! Our host, Alex, and hostess, Haley, made our stay an absolute delight. We wanted for nothing. Cleanliness and beauty abound. The pool was so delightful in the evenings, too. Very spacious and provided plenty of separation between guests. Well-appointed kitchen and bedrooms. Right on the bus-line, too, so transportation into Quepos for dinner and sightseeing was easy, and the beach was a short walk away. This house was all and more than we imagined. Will definitely be back! Pura Vida!!

The house is very spacious and well equipped. The pool was great. We saw so much wildlife right on the property there wasn’t much point going to the national park. The beach and the park were easily accessible. Alexander and his staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Casa Alegria. We would all love to go there again.

The house is a quick walk down hill to the beach where there is a restaurant on the beach and lots of activities. You can either walk back up the hill or take a taxi up. It's close to all restaurants and shops in town. Perfect location. The staff is excellent! Alex will help with all info about the town and any excursions you want to take.

We loved everything about this property. Perfect location if you want a up close and personal wildlife experience. Our kids/young adults woke up early every morning to catch the capuchins and spider monkeys. There is also a sloth in the tree. The house is immaculately clean. Haley, the house cleaner is the best! She even helped us find the sloth in the tree. We were sad to leave the spectacular views, beautiful weather and wildlife.

Great olace to stay

This was one of the most enjoyable vacations we have had. We were a party of 9 and everything was exceptional!

We had a great time. The house was comfortable but could use some updating on furniture and lighting. The staff were amazing and you will definitely see monkeys!! The only real negative of the trip was the construction project directly below the house. They worked from 7AM to 7PM six days a week and made it almost impossibleto enjoy the pool and porch areas. Otherwise great stay.

The location had a great view, wildlife visits every day. The pool was nice, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked for food prep. AC which was absolutely necessary worked well. No complaints regarding the house, amenities or the location. The manager, Alex was the best and most proactive i have experienced with my many rentals. He contacted us before the rental, answered each text in a timely manner and provided a lot of excellent recommendations. I would come back to this exact location on my next trip to Costa Rica. The entire family loved it. Some additional points: bring and use your sunscreen, rent some jet skis from Mitch at MA jet ski rental, get to know as many locals as possible everyone is friendly (getting to know them is worth your effort) and of course be ready to slow down, relax and enjoy.

This was my first time using VRBO, and it was an amazing experience. Alex set us up with everything we needed. The excursions he recommended were great. The view from our balcony was breathtaking and the house great. Plenty of room for the 6 people in our group. Cleaning people came everyday and also did our laundry. The was a sloth that lived in a tree next to the house, and a group of monkeys that would visit every morning. The walk to the beach was a little steep but nothing too crazy. I would definitely recommend this property.

We did not want to leave... This house is beautiful on all levels. We arrived at night and woke up in paradise. A sloth hanging on the tree and two types of monkeys playing around the house. Toucans flying around the pool and magical views. The nearby beach is also great. We enjoyed walking to delicious restaurants in the neighborhood and just wished we were able to stay longer. Thank you, Alex & team for being wonderful! We hope to come again soon :)

It was an absolutely outstanding stay! Wonderful home and pool and proximity to the beach. A tremendous amount of help everyday with the check in process and daily cleaning and laundry services. It was a truly wonderful stay!

My wife and I stayed here and it was great. The wildlife you see at the house is just like walking through the forest. Alex set us up with tours with local people and they were all great. He was very helpful and all of his recommendations were fantastic

Amazing, spacious, and VERY clean! Alexander and his crew took excellent care of us. Set up day tours for us with pick up to and from the house. Very short walk to the beautiful beach. Daily visits from monkeys, toucans, and howler monkeys.

Great location, attentive check in and staff. House is amazing, wildlife is abundant right on the property. Great food within walking distance and plenty of activities within a 3 KM radius.

This house was fantastic! It was incredibly clean and spacious, had amazing views, and was perfectly situated close to the beach and restaurants. We absolutely loved our stay and hated to leave! Alexander was a very responsive and helpful host. We had zero issues and will definitely choose this home again if we make it back to Costa Rica!

We spent 6 nights in paradise. Our host, housekeeper, and grounds-keeper spoiled us. Our neighbors (the sloths, monkeys, and birds) made our stay magical. The space is so wonderful for shared family time (i.e. open kitchen, big decks, pool area) and privacy (4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms). The walk to the beach is steep, but lovely. The sand & surf are private and gorgeous. Location is absolutely perfect for exploring the area by car or foot. We look forward to returning again next year! Thank you for an incredible, magical vacation! We will treasure it always!

This house was nicely equipped, had easy beach access, close to town, and close to restaurants. The only negative was construction going on below the house. It was a lot of fun watching all of the animals that came to visit.

This is the best rental experience we have ever had. This place is ideal for a family or group of couples looking for a vacation in Manuel Antonio. The views are absolutely insane. The pictures don’t do it justice. Despite not being a new build, this place was spotless and very comfortable. My advice is not to overbook yourself with tours because you will want to spend some time hanging out on one of two decks or around the pool/hot tub. We saw more wildlife lounging around the pool here than on any of our guided tours in the reserves. Close encounters with 3 species of monkey, giant iguanas, sloths, toucans, and scarlet macaws. There are a star fruit trees and banana trees on the property. Walking distance (uphill) to El Avion, and La Cantina (two great restaurants). We parked our rental car on site - I recommend backing in - it’s a tricky driveway. Alexander, the concierge, was extremely helpful with arranging for park tours, surfing lessons (5 minutes down road), and suggestions for dinner. He made himself available 24/7 for anything that we needed. There is a housekeeper Heilyn who was lovely. We didn’t realize before we arrived that she would be at the property from about 9 or 10 in the am until 3 or 4 pm cleaning the house. She will do laundry while she is there if you like. There is private beach access down a very steep pathway - takes 5 minutes to walk to the beach but it is a hard slog uphill to get back. You need to be fit! You can catch a 2 minute taxi back up. There is also beach parking 5 mins away that Alexander will recommend if you prefer. A warning for families with small children - the outdoor railings and stairways are not up to code for US/Canada - a small child could easily slip through existing barriers and some elevated surfaces don’t have any barrier. You’ll need to be really careful. The other issue to realize is that although things are close on the map, the area is very hilly. Overall - this place is amazing - we had the best vacation of our lives here and a lot of that had to do with this place and it’s mind-blowing views. Just do it. :)

This property was amazing. My son (3M) loved watching the sloths and monkeys who call the property home. We all enjoyed the beautiful views from the deck and swimming in the pool. Everything was as wonderful as it sounds in the listing and we look forward to a visit in the future.

Unfortunately, our schedule only allowed us for four days to stay in this fantastic location. The location is super good, the cleaning status was super good and Heylin (the maid) does an excellent job. As far as animals is concerned you virtually do not have to go the national park but just sit on the balcony with a drink and wait until they all turn up in front of our eyes sooner or later. Enjoyed our stay, plenty of wildlife right out Back door, easily accessible to multiple restaurants and the house as well appointed. Access to the beach was a bonus. The private chef was delicious and the most favorite part of our stay. Lots of stairs so would not be accommodating for elderly or handicapped. Luckily we did not have that issue.

The overall experience inćluding the sloth occupying a neighbouring tree and the gangs of squirrel and capuchin monkeys was just unforgettable.

This place is amazing! We had a wonderful time. It’s conveniently located with beach access. Our rooms were spacious, clean and all had ocean views. We saw the adorable sloth above us as he moved from tree to tree. Toucans flew in to the trees outside the windows. Monkeys were everywhere in the trees. If you didn’t see them, we heard them. Mauricio was an excellent host. It was a little piece of heaven on earth!

This is our second stay at Casa Algeria and loved every minute of it. Great location and surroundings!

Casa Alegria is an wonderful house in a great location. The house has everything you need. Every room and each floor has incredible views. And the staff is fantastic. We can’t wait to come back again.
