Property was very clean, as described, great kitchen with everything needed to cook and prepare meals. Both outside sitting areas were spacious and the top deck was awesome for relaxing with a nice breeze after a long day fishing in the surf. Communication with the property manager was great with a very quick response time. Highly recommended and we will be back next year should we fish this same area. Host was very quick to respond to questions. The property is older and while many appliances were new, there was old carpet in the bedrooms and the mattresses were not kind to my aging back. A towel and pair of pants was found hanging from the deck upon check in. Pillows/bedding were adequate but nothing special. Kitchen supplies were okay; none of the lids we found matched any pots or skillets. No extras like aluminum foil or plastic wrap. The leftovers of renters past were available (as usual in one of these properties). The beach really isn’t within walking distance, but it was a short drive to the public beach access (this fills up pretty quickly so stake your claim early in the day). Our main issue - one probably out of the landlord’s control - was the mosquitos. Of course the place is on a stagnant channel of water so these are to be expected, but these were Terminator Mosquitos. No amount of “OFF!” dissuaded those suckers. The minute you hit the stairs to the upper deck/main entrance they’re on you in a heavy swarm…7-10 on one leg and we didn’t have enough hands to fight them off. We literally could not enjoy any activity downstairs (sitting, grilling, washing off in the outdoor shower) without being eaten alive. On our last night (Thursday) the City finally sprayed and that helped quite a bit. There was a small dog run/fenced area for dogs. The upstairs deck is was nice. Overall, good place but I’d stay somewhere else next time to avoid all the mosquito bites.

Had a great experience! There was only 2 things wrong with this stay. First is that there is no kind of lighting for the upstairs balcony and the bottom queen bed that is located in the queen double bunk room is very uncomfortable.

We loved a lot of things about this property! The outdoor space was very spacious! There was room for 3 vehicles and boat trailer. Both the lower and upper deck areas were huge with tons of seating and table options. There was a nice gated area for pets. They had kayaks and a downstairs bonus room with a restroom. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming and fishing. The bottom of the canal had a sandy bottom and it wasn’t too deep! The house was clean. The kitchen had plenty of utensils, a nice large refrigerator and a nice oven/stove top. Half of the burners weren’t working on the stove top, we sent a message to let them know, it didn’t stop us from getting what we needed done. The double queen bunks were not very comfortable the bottom mattress had a bit of a sag on one side. The other bedrooms and beds were just fine.

We had a small group for prom and this house was perfect. They enjoyed every minute of it. The boys had so much fun kayaking and tubing down the canal. Perfect for prom pictures!

Frank responded to all questions very quickly and provided all necessary information prior to check-in. The home was just lovely, very clean and inviting. Loved that the upper deck had both a covered area and an uncovered area. Plenty of space and chairs both on the upper level as well as lower. It was very quite and peaceful and loved sitting on the deck at night. Neighborhood was great and several restaurants are very close. We have marked this as one of our favorites and will definitely book next time if available.

We enjoyed our stay! Lots of great outdoor space and seating. Being winter time, the water in the canal was low, so fishing from the dock was not really an option. Layout of the house was just right for our family. We cooked lots of great meals and had plenty of space to hang out.
