The property is in a beautiful spot with great access and views of the ocean. My family had a great time. The house was clean but not well maintained. One exterior door was broken. The kitchen had only 8 forks and no wine opener. Several light bulbs needed to be replaced. I'd read another review before booking so was not surprised. We still enjoyed our stay.

We loved this spot, it was beautiful, relaxing and we loved walking the beach! Plenty of seating and lots of room!!! We would definitely stay here again!

THE ONLY THING MISSING WAS A WORKING ELEVATOR. A LOT OF STEEP STEPS FOR 60 YEAR OLDS CARRYING GROCERIES AND SUITCASES. OTHERWISE, IT WAS PERFECT. WE HAD GROCERIES DELIVERED AND SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING! HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS HOME!

The location is fantastic. But there are many fantastic oceanfront rental options. Was clean and AvantStay as a manager was great. BUT … the house needs some maintenance. Many light bulbs were blown (all kitchen lights didn’t work), broken switches, door handles, toilet seat, doors wouldn’t close all the way. Fireplace didn’t work (we stayed in winter). Perhaps nit picky but this is a thousand dollar plus a night rental. I was expecting better.

Lots of stairs but they were worth it… amazing view of the Ocean and beach from the Balconies and the hot tub. Plenty of tables and chairs both in house and balconies. Would rent it again.

It is a great family house. Chloe and Jake were wonderful. They were quick to replace the grill that was not usable and to bring us extra items that were missing. We had one day that plumbers were there to replace one toilet and repair the other 4. We had an infant with us and the living area carpet was really dirty. Pillows and blankets in closet were not clean. The washer was full of sand. Which was most likely the last people that stayed there, didn’t follow direction. For the price I felt things should of been cleaner.

A+++ location on/in what feels like a private beach inches from the vast Atlantic Ocean. Our family enjoyed this ocean oasis and hope to return again to create more memories.

We have visited Folly many times. We have family in the area and come down several times a year. This is the first time staying at this particular property. The location is great as we love to visit the lighthouse and we could walk there from the house. The house was very spacious and clean and for our group of 8 adults a perfect size. We loved the common areas and was able to eat either on the porch or inside at the same table. The issue we has was on the first day the elevator my mother and I were on dropped about a foot and got stuck. She is very claustrophobic and started to panic right away. My husband was able to help us jump about 5 feet down (mom is 75) but my main issue is the lack of response from the rental agency. I called the emergency number when we were stuck and it took 32 minutes for anyone to return my call. That agent was not helpful at all and said someone else would need to call me back. I did eventually get a text message from the rental saying someone would swing by to check. Needless to say the elevator never got fixed and I have yet to receive a call checking on us. I specifically picked this house because I have my 75 year old mother, my husband who is getting ready to have a knee replacement and our friend who is out of work with a back injury and wanted everyone to have access without all the stairs. My friend was not able to attend the James Island lights because he back hurt him so bad. If many stairs are not an issue for your group then this is a great property to stay in but do not pick it if you need the elevator.

An absolute dream of a property in an absolutely immense location. Very well furnished and laid out in a manner conducive to large parties they would still like to socialize. Will miss waking up to sunsets on the ocean every morning

We had a GREAT girls long weekend to celebrate turning 40, 50 and 60! The house was perfect to enjoy the beauty of the beach while still being close enough to Charleston for some city fun. The concierge service was so helpful and the massage therapist they sent to the house provided the best massages any of us had ever had!!! We would definitely book this house again!

Our group of 10 adults had a fantastic weekend at this property. The house was perfect for our needs and was in a great location to enjoy the beach. Everything is as advertised and we will likely stay here again in the future. Communication was top notch with the property managers and all of our needs / requests were taken care of during our stay. Highly recommend this property.

Fun trip, great location. Only downside was hot tub was pretty dirty...but we realize that's mostly attributable to prior guests.

Wonderful house right on the beach! The house was clean and host was very prompt with responses to our questions. The elevator came in handy!

We had a short family get together and the home was just fabulous! Right on the ocean in a great location. It had all the amenities you would ever expect. Great service as well. I highly recommend this property!

Great property for large family or combo friends, up to 12 sleep comfortable. Literally right on the beach, easy access.I would recommend renting and having at least one vehicle for your trip as we did. Helped as its spotty on ordering rides out there from the apps.Management is great and easy to get ahold of if needed. No problems with our stay!
