Hotel is in a good location especially for the old city. Our flight was delayed and the the hotel were very accommodating in our change of arrival time. Communication was prompt. Staff were very helpful on arrival. Room was very basic but with more than enough room. It was clean and adequate for an overnight stay. Breakfast selection was more than adequate - choice of juice, cereal, pastries with a selection of soft cheeses, and yogurt.
The room could do with some renovation but didn't affect the stay. You could smell cigarette smoke in the corridor as if someone in the building was smoking

Very well located between the train station (10 min. walk) and the old city (20 min. walk). Reasonable price. Friendly staff. A good restaurant next to the hotel entrance.
Rooms would need to be refurbished and have a second chair. It's OK as long as you don't spend much time indoor.

Very friendly receptionist who spoke english. Clean, basis facilities right near the centre of Carcassonne. Free parking just around the corner in Victor Blasch square. Basic breakfast for 8 €. No noise from street.

Overall cleanliness of room and bathroom wasn’t great BUT the bedsheets were spotless and bed comfy

Very helpful lady running the hotel. Waited well after 7.00pm as I was lost but eventually found the hotel.

Au Royal Hotel is my new go to place in Carcassonne. Clean comfortable. Breakfast was adequate and a good place to stay.
I will be back and it’s a thumbs up for me.
No lift but that is all and doesn’t put me off going there.

The lady in reception was very helpful and very friendly - location is excellent.
Room was tired - but adequate for our stay - and refleced in the price we paid so no complaints !
