The hotel itself is beautiful. It has a classic style but still feels very modern. The standard rooms could use an update and do not match the quality of the interior in the rest of the hotel

The spa could do with clothing guidelines. It wasn't clear if the sauna was to be used with or without bathing suit, so it was an uncomfortable mix.

The food in the hotel is amazing! Very hearty and lavish breakfast. Excellent German food in the restaurant. Great Schnitzel, duck and fillet. The restaurant is super cosy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We loved being there and felt very well looked after.

The hotel had an old world charm. It was outside of the city center core, but that didn't matter. The interior was beautiful. And the spa was lovely. And the restaurant was amazing. I would stay here again without hesitation.

The pool was closed for renovation. I also would have liked to use the steam room in the morning.

One of the best hotels I have ever been to. Great breakfast, tasty dinner and a huge room with heavy oak furniture.

No aircon so had to have windows open. Noise from restaurant at night and traffic in the morning very noisy making sleep difficult.

Once you arrive at the hotel it is in a lovely quiet location, the room was comfortable and quiet. The sauna, pool, gym, and sunning areas are lovely. Overall highly recommend.

There is no AC so if you sleep hot, bring a fan. After dark in summer, it is hard to keep the window open because bugs are drawn to your light. Take the bus in summer. There are plenty of stops to & from the train station. If you walk there are some rougher/industrial areas for about a half mile between the bridge from downtown & the hotel. It’s a good 40-50min trek from Porta Nigra.
